(1/80 scale) Small Bibury Cottage - Completed piece: A comparison with the real cottage at the base of Awkward hill, Bibury. - This cottage formed a collection of cottages that were originally for mill workers in the area I believe. The other cottages sat opposite and were more of a terraced set up. I had seen this cottage so many times on Instagram and I couldn't pin point where it was for ages and then one day recently I found it on Google maps. (1/80 scale) Small Bibury Cottage - Completed piece: It's finally finished and I'm really pleased with the results. It depicts the tiny cottage that sits in the village of Bibury at the bottom of awkward hill. I made this piece because I simply felt I wanted to make a tiny house in a tiny scale to fit in a jar... (1/80 scale) Small Bibury Cottage: Busy man at the moment and so whilst I'm getting the Peugeot 205 ready I'm also carving brickwork with my trusty screwdriver that never lets me down at any scale... The white part that forms the stone work is trust filler applied in its pure form and smoothed out. I then let it dry and then sand down all the walls to gain flat surfaces to carve in to. I'm also not worried of I have a few irregular bumps and dips as they add to the character of the walls inorder to convey the impression of beautiful Cotswold stone... (1/80 scale) Small Bibury Cottage: The soldering irons been out and we have some lights on in the tiny cottage of Bibury... Really simple, just one LED from a strip of them which I've soldered into a circuit with the press switch on the base and coin battery holder 👌 now to apply the tiles to the roof individually, one at a time... Introducing what will be a little side hustle to the commission I've literally just been able to start today. This however is a small cottage that I've seen be photographed many times on Instagram and after doing some research I found out it is located in the picturesque village of Bibury and it's situated on 'Akward Hill' fantastic! 🤣 I simply adore the small nature of this cottage and so I saw it as an opportunity to capture in a time capsule in miniature. The irony being a tiny house in a tiny jar 😂 but I've begun building the structure here and the base.
