From Artichoke @artichoketrust (Instagram) 🤍🖤 OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS! ✨
➡️ https://linktr.ee/artichoketrust ⬅️
📢 The Gallery exhibits contemporary art in public spaces to generate meaningful conversation and debate about some of the most important questions of our time. Continuing this mission, for Season 4 we’re inviting artists from around the world to respond to the theme: ‘A Real Woman’.
Selected artists will receive:
📌 A £2000 fee
📌 An international platform to exhibit your work
📌 Support from the Creative Director Martin Firrell & Curator Bakul Patki
What does it really mean to be a woman? How do women see themselves - in relation to each other and to the rest of the world? How does a woman decide the kind of woman she is? Who’s looking? Who’s judging? What insight might the experience of transgender women provide?
We’re keen to hear from any artist who identifies in any way, if they feel they have artistic insight to share. As with each season, there is no ‘correct’ response to the theme. There are no preconceived notions of what the selected works will be. Artworks are chosen for their artistic merit, visual impact in the public space and ability to engage with the theme.
Deadline: 23:59 GMT, Sunday 4 February 2024.

⚫️⚪️ @artichoketrust OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS! ✨ ⚫️⚪️➡️ https://sked.link/artichoketrust ⬅️ The Gallery has been hugely successful in inciting meaningful debate and public discourse. Now we’re looking for artists to respond to the theme ‘No But Where Are You Really From?’ as part of the third season of this major project. 📢 Selected artists will receive: 📌 A £2000 fee 📌 An international platform to exhibit your work 📌 Ongoing mentoring and support We live in a globalised world of international travel and mass migration. Over the centuries, peoples, animals, plants and pathogens have continuously crisscrossed the Earth’s oceans and continents. So, what part does place still play in identity? The Gallery’s Season 3 theme encourages artists to ask timely questions about origin, inclusivity, belonging, transition and exchange. The theme also invites artists to consider what it feels like to be excluded or denied on the one hand, and accepted and embraced on the other.
