Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony: The lone Indian athlete Arif Khan hoists the tricolor
Skier Arif Khan led a small four-strong Indian contingent during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on Friday, amid a diplomatic boycott of the event by the country.
The 31-year-old will be the only Indian competitor in the Games to have qualified in the slalom and giant slalom events. India sent a six-man squad including a coach, a technician and a team manager to the Games.
