The new chapter has me imagining an entire au with the exwires as rebels, and I had to draw a rebel Ryuuji. I will probably try and draw more of the gang, and if Kato doesn't go that route, I will absolutely be writing an au for it because I want it :D

I was skimming through the Illuminati arc again for research purposes and I found some smol details from the Q&A corners that I find very interesting:

First we have this one moment on ch. 47, which is the end of volume 11, where Kato sensei decided to give Ryuuji and Izumo one last little moment before everything went to shit the exact next chapter with the Shima spy thing.

Anyways, we get this nice, cute interaction <3

In which they talk about the aria's chants and how powerful one has to be in order to abbreviate them and it baffles me because this is the only moment where Izumo and Ryuuji share a Q&A corner alone, and Ryuuji has to go out of his way to tease Izumo and make her blush.

Like, we know how hard it is for Kato sensei to even make and give us these question corners and when they put them together by themselves they go and do this?!?! Seriously, I can't with these dorks. My heart.

Kato knew that this following arc was going to be heavy for everyone, especially these two, and they were going to spend most of the time separated and that’s why she gave them one last little moment together before hell broke loose.

Anyways, the bonus content for Vol. 12 is a demonpedia and Izumo's character cover thingy (she looks beautiful I cannot).

And then we get to the Bonus Content from Volume 13. Here is another Q&A corner and we have Izumo calling and roasting the hell out of Shima for his betrayal and then we also have Shura, Yukio, Rin, Shiemi, Uke, Mike, Kinzo, Angel and even the blonde dude who was an Illuminati spy talking and answering some questions.

Like Kato sensei gave absolutely everyone a spot in the section, even random characters like the blonde spy and then left Ryuuji for the second half of the last page of the Q&A corner. And I just love how she doesn't give him any personal questions, she gives him an advertisement instead, jajaja.

Even Ryuuji gets mad at this and asks "what gives?!"

Yeah Ryuuji, what gives? What could have been the reason for you to not have gotten a personal question and/or insight moment to your current feelings and thoughts during a very tense arc centered around Izumo..? I seriously wonder why Kato sensei wouldn't allow you to answer any personal questions, hm... very suspicious...

(Small edit) We already know how he feels about Shima: he’s pissed and will rip him apart limb from limb when he sees him again but Izumo..? What does he think and feel about Izumo’s situation..? Now that is the big mistery *wink wink*.

And another small funny detail is that Shura gets a question right after Ryuuji and she literally mentions romance as her answer while winking at the reader jajaja I can't (psttt, she knows).

The first time I read this I was disappointed that we didn't get any insight to Ryuuji's thoughts or feelings, now I realize that it would have been too obvious, lol~

Kato sensei can't let you spoil all the fun dear Ryuuji, she can't allow you to spoil yourself.

please don't take this seriously. This is crack my brain just threw at me.

During one of the big battles Ryuuji gets an idea as his group of exorcists fight against Iblis. He calls Renzou and Konekomaru to protect him as he performs an old and complicated Aria.

It's a dance and incantation. He also has a box of chalk he dips his shoe in to draw the sealing circle.

This Aria will pull the intended demon into the barrier forcing a temporary contract with summoners so that a larger contract, made from the siphoned power of the demon, can be made between a organization and the demon.

During the performance you must keep focus on the demon you want to pull into the barrier. Also it is ill advise to perform this by oneself.

(I was going to have Iblis be pulled in because I associate the Myōō Dharani with fire and rot, but my brain said why don't we just throw Satan in there.

What could go wrong.)

So, While Ryuuji is reciting the incantation and performing the dance he's trying to keep his mind on red flames and Iblis. However he can see Rin who is talking/fighting with Satan and as he finishes his last thought during the final step is blue flames and the image of Satan lunging for Rin.

As the last line conects the space inside the circle is engulfed with blue fire and instead of lunging for Rin, Satan is wrapping his hands around Ryuuji's neck.

... Maybe this isn't as crack-ish as I first thought....

The strains of "Hey Hey Guy" by Ken Laszlo, the legendary Italo Disco crooner, were ringing loud as Mai Sakurajima finally broke through after numerous necklace rounds of the International Saimoe League left her wanting. Sakurajima, a 20-1 dark horse defeated Emilia 13781-12827 to win the 2019 ISML Ruby Necklace on Ruby Match Day 4. Schwi Dola was third with 9026 votes, Rikka Takanashi was fourth with 7208 votes, Asuna Yuuki was sixth with 4919 votes, Kurisu Makise was seventh with 3822 votes and Mashiro Shiina took command of the lanterne rouge with 3381 votes. Chtholly Nota Senirious was fifth but her tallies were not available at time of press.

Touma Kamijou finally got off the schneid with a 12906-11190 Upset of the Round over Archer to win the Ruby Pendant. Yuuta Togashi was third with 8990 votes, Katsuki Bakugou was fourth with 5909 votes, Kazuma Satou was fifth with 5317 votes, Rintrou Okabe was sixth with 4056 votes, Levi was seventh with 3319 votes and Taki Tachibana was last with 2664 votes. Kaguya Shinomiya is now one cross-seasonal victory away from succeeding Violet Evergarden as Speaker of the Saimoe Diet after routing Gray 20872-9217.

Advancing to the Diamond Period from the Female Division were Azusa Nakano (141877.5), Kamui Kanna (140994.5), Mio Akiyama (154759.6), Shouko Nishimiya (155882.2), Chino Kafuu (136106.4), Index Prohibitorum (135430), Yoshino (133999.4) and Megumin (152525.3). Over on the Male Division side, advancing to Diamond were Nagisa Shiota (104753.9), Willem Kmetsch (116299.9), Shirou Emiya (118960.4), Koyomi Araragi (103944.9), Yuzuru Otonashi (109709.3), Ryuuji Takasu (112043.7), Kyon (114767) and Kiritsugu Emiya (109097.4).

In a special dual match, Kobeni Yonomori and Hakuya Mitsumine defeated Yuki Kurihara and Shin'ya Momotsuki 10551-9258. lewin's tamer/aria method amuses me SO much bc he's like there’s no way i’m gonna remember all that shit i'm gonna put every ounce of my effort into figuring out a shortcut that should be impossible and he Did It, the absolute madman

he and ryuuji are equally impressive but’re on opposite ends of a spectrum, ryuuji being so hardworking and dedicated to his goals that he memorizes entire holy books, lewin being so dedicated to his laziness he’ll do anything to get out of hard work
