#are plenty of disney movies that don't necessarily have the best messages to offer

For feminists and the Internet as a whole to be as "anti"-victim blaming as they claim to be, they damn sure victim-blame Cinderella for her situation quite often, and unfairly so. I'm talking about Disney's Cinderella, ofc.
#cinderella#disney#text#like y'all come up with all kinds of dumbass theories and analysis of the 'cisheteropatriachal' system that disney has been supposedly#enforcing on little girls since snow white came out. y'all have this amount of energy to make arguments about how the disney princesses are#somehow symbols of female oppression while simultaneously rewarding the men for 'oppressing' the poor womens#i have heard and read nearly everything you feminists say. ofc i'm aware that 99% of shit is bullshit that reaches to the gods#but y'all can't even have one ounce of sympathy for a victim of emotional and verbal abuse since the passing of her father???#all because she didn't 'flee' her abusive situation? what the hell is wrong with y'all??#the only reason feminists don't have as much sympathy for cinderella is because her perpetrators were women#because had cinderella's perpetrators been men i know feminists would have come up with tens of thousands of analytical and commentary#pieces discussing how cinderella's father abusing her symbolizes the so-called PatrIARchY and the 'systematic oppression of women' and how#all men just seek to hurt women because it's in their nature to oppress women because he hates them apparently#but because her abusers were women they just go 'she shoulda ran away lmao' but had it been man i highly doubt they would have the same#arguments. they are full of crap#i'm tired of y'all coming for my girl and accusing her of all types of shit. cinderella never did anything wrong#the only thing i might agree with feminists on is the whole beautu standards thing but that's about as far as my agreement with them goes#like ofc there is nothing wrong to criticize a movie specially if it doesn't necessarily promote a good message and i recognize that there#are plenty of disney movies that don't necessarily have the best messages to offer#that's ONE thing and the other one is just shoving your political agenda into your so-called commentary#which is why the vast majority of the disney princesses social critics do#they use them as a tool to promote their feminist and misandristic ideologies
