The Vessel at Hudson Yards por @officialheatherwickstudio The Vessel es un nuevo tipo de hito público: El Arquitecto Thomas Heatherwick y #heatherwickstudio imaginaron esta obra de arte interactiva como un punto focal donde las personas pueden disfrutar de nuevas perspectivas de la ciudad y entre sí, desde diferentes alturas, ángulos y puntos de vista, un bastidor de escalada circular de 16 pisos, con 2,465 escalones, 80 descansos y vistas sobre el río Hudson y Manhattan. Para crear algo significativo, el estudio quería desarrollar una estructura que los visitantes pudieran usar, tocar y con la cual relacionarse. La estructura se ubica en el corazón de Hudson Yards, en medio de la plaza central ajardinada, uno de los proyectos inmobiliarios más grandes en la historia de Estados Unidos, que está transformando un antiguo patio ferroviario en un vecindario completamente nuevo, con más de cinco acres de nuevos espacios públicos y jardines.
