Ok so like. The people who makes masks for facechangers, right? They fit the mask to the face, but the client doesn’t have to be there while it’s made. And the person doesn’t have to be able to turn into people themselves, which Angel is a good example of, even if she’s not got the role yet. So like... someone who’s job is basically just to be a model? Help get the details right? They’d have to be really trusted by grandma Seraq to have access to like... what everyone looks like, of course, but maybe that’s just like. Their whole job. No turning into people except for this purpose. Also, people irl make molds of people’s faces, so by the most current point it’s an optional thing, although it is also a good way to have a mask be more reliably comfortable. And Rij 100% opted in for her second proper mask because like.... she wanted a scar in it. She thought it’d be cool as hell and also making a mold of her head is a Very Uncomfortable Idea. And also because scar in the mask that follows the scar in her face.

ive been following you for a while and i like reading your oc rambles but- what even is elysur?? who are these people??
Elysur is the name of the setting I primarily write in! I really like writing with random characters, and wanted to have a place where they can interact and their actions can affect each other, and it’s just grown over the past 8 years :)
Elysur is the name of the planet, and the people are living there! With varying levels of influence lol
It’s sort of a lot of things so I can mix and match for what I want, so there are areas that lean more into magic or technology and even a few like. Classic fantasy kingdoms (although only a couple left because Big Villains who like to control things and assassinate kings), although for the most part it’s like… fairly modern?
There are characters that can open portals between universes so there are some from other universes, including several from Earth. Those people end up getting their own magic, because of how thoroughly saturated Elysur is with magic, from when reality broke the first time
I have a Lot of characters there because I like being able to reference other stories and having a pre-existing setting, and also making new characters is fun lol
