redwall was the most graphically violent children's book series I have ever read - oh wait no guardians of ga'hoole had some gore didn't it. warriors was so-so on the violence but up to 11 with the melodrama. anyway I loved redwall the illustrations were so detailed and the armor was so elaborately described and the food was so stupid sounding and the fighting was so brutal. 10 year old me was like yessss killing violence bloodshed

#gahoole went to shit after the first series #idk what happened #there were fascist owl sects. there were blue owls from the other continent. the very sympathetic owl #who broke away from the fascist sect hed been born into and deprogrammed himself DIED #for no fucking reason except to make the og mc the KING #he was kind of boring ngl. not a strong mc #and he randomly got a wife with no characterization between books #and there were volcano wolves? actually the dire wolves were pretty cool #the first series was decent she should have ended it there #anyway despite its many faults i maintain redwall as the superior anthropomorphic kids battle series #cor.txt
