The Alfinn Den Discord Server 🚀🎩

Hey besties! So I've seen a few people asking around about possible Blakeshaw-centric communities and discord servers lately...

(This is a bit of a long post, so buckle in!)

Lucky for you, I'm an admin for one! We're called The Alfinn Den and are a tight knit community of around 30 members as of this post! Keep reading for more info!!

We're happy to welcome new members at this time!

As of right now though, we ask that everyone wishing to join us fill out this Google Form !

It has some basic questions about yourself and what fandoms and ships you might like as well as a few more specific ones concerning what presence (are you an artist, writer, general consumer, or other) you have in the community!

There are also a few dead dove & proship related questions as well!

Don't worry though, we have designated channels for both 18+ and dead dove 18+ topics! (So if you don't wish to see or interact with it, you don't have to!)

You MUST be 18+ to join, however. Even if you just want to chat with us and have fun in our other general channels!!

We have a bunch of channels & many kind and welcoming members! We talk about everything from fanart, to fanfic, to headcanons and AUs! The server itself is owned by the author of Grieve in Stereo on Ao3 and we have a wonderful mod team!

A few of us are regularly on voice chat together either playing different video games (mostly Fortnite and Stardew Valley) or even hosting movie nights! We love to just hang out together and have fun!

I may be isolating some fans from this, but if that's what it takes, I don't care.

Romanticizing and making adult x minor relationships sound cute and appropriate, and commenting and supporting a work saying “foaming at the mouth” “I love this” “they’re such a good couple,” “look at these two lovebirds they’re so cute,” is supporting this content, purposely or not.

Predators will feel more comfortable coming into these spaces because they'll feel welcomed/supported. Don’t be naive and think it doesn’t/won’t happen. One of these days some minor is going to be taken advantage of because of this, and I'm not willing to be a part of that.

It’s not worth it to me to have support for Into The Black and Black Acres if you’re also supporting that filth.

i fell absolutely in love with tbp and with alfinn as SOON as i saw their first real scene together, instantly i was down bad for the pairing and their chemistry 😩

So, I'm actually an admin for a Blakeshaw server! I've been a member since the very first month all the way back in September of last year!

We're called the Alfinn Den and we're also pretty cautious about antis and everything like that, so I haven't really talked about it a lot on here! (If you look around, I've mentioned a few friends from there in a couple posts a while back)

As of right now we're happy to see new faces join in on the fun, though! It's 18+ only and we currently have a Google Form for possible new members to fill out before gaining entry! I'll make a more detailed post about it after this so keep an eye out!!

For anyone who may be wondering about the member count: As of right now we're sitting at about 30 members with a few less that are regularly active since we do have some lurkers!

Hard to say. On the one hand, I think using children had the desired scary impact on audiences—it’s a lot more frightening when a child is in danger, and I think it would have been less horrific if it had been an adult.

I guess there’s something instinctive that makes us care a lot more/the stakes are higher if it’s an innocent child. I wouldn’t call myself maternal by any means, but hoo boy I went full Mama Bear Mode and was ready to kick ass for poor Finney.

Anything involving kids, animals, or the elderly being harmed makes me upset since they’re vulnerable groups. So I think the point was to make it more unsettling and evoke stronger emotions in the audience by having him be a child predator.

That said, I would have LOVED it to have been an adult woman. Would also have gotten at least half the anti grabbers off my ass, anyway. I don’t know a whole lot about that actress, but tbh I would be thrilled to see any woman over 25 in Finney’s place. Because I’m a whore.
