hey not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but what if the results of the semi-final were leaked to provoke people who are boycotting and and make them vote for anybody else just so israel won't win? and earn more money off us in the process? hold the line.

Hey what if instead of shaming people for enjoying one thing in a sea of terrible-ness, you get off your holier-than-thou virtue-signaling high horse and go touch grass. Then maybe go do something that will actually make a difference like joining a protest and calling your representatives. Just a thought :)

If you, at this point, have not understood why people shouldn't watch eurovision this year you're probably a lost cause or just holding your hands in your ears and going 'lalalalala' whenever someone tries to tell you? I watched ESC every year. like. it's a pretty holy tradition among friends and all of us (seperately, and some of my friends are not very politically active) came to the very clear conclusion that we don't want to support this show this year. like. friends of mine who were SWORN to this show as the European Gay Spring Event are not watching this year.

BDS officially called for the boycott of eurovision. boycotting is (alongside protests and donations) one of THE key ways to cause western divestment from Israel and it's frankly not that hard to understand that a show that is very vocally supportive of Israel should maybe not be publically streamed by everyone, especially one as big as the eurovision song contest

also eurovision isn't even a good show? you really want to die on that hill of all hills? defending a kinda mediocre music show that does propaganda for Israel and Azerbaijan?

also I like the implication that just because I care about people adhering to an international boycott that must mean that I am in no other way protesting the genocide in Palestine? and calling not watching the genocide propaganda show 'holier than thou virtue signalling' is pretty fucking rich, get your head out of your own self-important ass perhaps.
