I think the worst part of Nanami's death animated wasn't even his death itself, it was seeing the utter pain and helplessness of Yuuji as he realized what was happening. The way he screams his name? The way he runs to him? The way he screams at Mahito right after? That absolutely destroyed me.

Versailles
characters: nanami kento x fem! reader
warnings: spoilers for jujutsu kaisen manga and shibuya arc incident, major character death, so much angst, swearing
a/n: the lyrics are from fourth of july by surfjan stevens. also thank you so much for all the support on my most recent work ♡now cry
did you get enough love, my little dove, why do you cry?
the air felt tight as he kept fighting through the curses, and kento knew, a single mistake could cost him his life. why did he still bother anyways? he was dying. the left side of his body was completely burnt off and he could feel the end nearing.
the thought of his beautiful fiance came to mind, one of the strongest jujutsu sorceress and undeniably his favorite presence in the world. he couldn't bare the thought of leaving and the pain his death would inflict to his beloved. his one and only.
his blade kept slashing through curse after curse and he wondered, how much he would just give to go back to her, in the warmth of their shared bed and hold her. how nice it would feel to have her close. if time travel was real all he'd do would be running away with her and getting married as they were supposed to.
she would want him to focus on the fight, maximize the possibilities of staying alive and going back to her and yet he wanted his final moments to be surrounded with visions of his darling.
the curses were multiplying. closing in on him unexpectedly. how are there so many even after slaying such a huge amount of them? kento wanted to give up and she would understand, he knew she would.
kento was about to close his eyes. he could die happy, hoping she would forgive him for getting away. for not fulfilling his promise of seeing her with a white dress and making her his. yet the end never came.
opening his eyes he could see the curses blow up one after the other. backup perhaps? he needed to fight, to help whoever came for him but he was stuck in his shoes. why was his heart sinking in his stomach all of a sudden? his soul felt like it was being ripped out of his body and then, he noticed the butterflies. golden butterflies.
the sight would be enough to take his breath away. her cursed technique never failed to mesmerize anyone around her. that's what she was to him, mesmerizing. even when the butterflies sat on top of the curses and ate them away, they were still so beautiful. everything that came from her was.
however when the last butterfly sat on the tip of his finger and fluttered her wings before slowly dissipating into the atmosphere, he knew it wasn't a good sign.
and as the final remnants of her flew away, a tear slipped down his face.
and im sorry i left, but it was for the best though it never felt right
after that nanami walked down the hallway where he knew he would find the one who was at fault for all this, mahito. he walked slowly. even if there was a way for him to survive, he had nothing to live for anymore. he was in so much fucking pain.
he didn't care and nothing mattered in the world. the only thing that mattered was her. and she was gone. but maybe they would have more time to plan their wedding now. or go on vacation to places she always wanted to visit. he could build her a house in malaysia, next to the beach and read their books together. he would give her children if she wanted and he would love her till the end. he would love her eternally.
"y/n... what was i ever trying to do anyway?" he wondered, images of her beautiful smile flashing in front of his eyes. how he would love to have every smile of hers directed at him and only him. kento was tired and he missed holding her. he wanted everything to just get over with so he could see her beautiful face once more.
we're all gonna die
he had finally reached mahito and his vision was already clouding. he was just moments away from passing. he felt relieved. he didn't even mind dying to the most disgusting monster that there was. the one who took away y/n y/l/n. even like this, he was honored to go by the same hands that held his beloved's last moments.
from the corner of his eyes he had noticed itadori, the young boy completely in shock from the sight of his senior perishing. did he also witness y/n's death too? there was no time anyways. he was sure that they would catch up later. just him and her.
he turned to young itadori, smiling softly at the boy
"you've got it from here"

Han Jisung, "Cruise Ships." 2/3
@kaanishimina asked:
HI! Idrk about how you request stuff and if you don’t feel comfortable writing this I completely understand. But would you consider writing a short fic about skz (either all members or jeongin, jisung or minho! depends on what you want!) reacting or like- how they find out that the reader has a massive fear of oceans and they don’t know ab it? And the reader is not like getting mad or anything, not too sweet btw, but more like- ”i am NOT going on that boat” and when they think they’re joking the don’t understand they’re serious?
IM SORRY THIS REQUEST IS ALL OVER THE PLACE BUT BASICALLY THE READER HAS A PHOBIAOF WATER AND ANY CREATURES IN WATER AND THE MEMBER DOESN’T KNOW ABOUT IT AND SURPRISES THEM WITH A TRIP WITH SEA/OCEAN/LAKE WITH IT?
Again if you don’t feel comfy writing this I completely understand! Have a nice day (:

"I'll have the chicken, please." You spoke as you handed the waiter the menu you had received a few moments prior. He nodded and walked away from your table, leaving you and Jisung alone for your date night.
"So what was the crazy surprise that had to wait until after we ordered?" You questioned him with a smile. He was bouncing in his seat like a small child on Christmas morning, ready to open whatever Santa left for him.
"I was thinking…" He started, but you cut him off.
"That's never good." You snarked back jokingly, Jisung playfully rolling his eyes at you before he continued.
"I was thinking- when was the last time we went on a trip?" He asked you and grabbed your hands from across the table, gently rocking them back and forth while you thought.
"About a month ago, with the boys-" You started. All of you had gone tenting at the beach, and it had been a blast. You were grilling, making s'mores, taking pictures, and laughing until your stomach hurt.
"Without the boys." Jisung soon added, cutting you off. You furrowed your brows ever so slightly as you had to think.
There was that one trip to Malaysia- but then you remembered how Chan and Changbin had tagged along. You didn't mind at all, and it had been so fun with the four of you at the karaoke bars.
But they didn't come when you went to Indonesia! But Felix had… Because you had accidentally invited him. He was the life of the party that trip- not a moment where you found yourself bored.
Had it been that long?
"Is the New Zealand trip really a year ago?" You asked confused, hoping Jisung would remind you of a more recent trip, but no- he nodded. "No way."
"My thoughts exactly, so this weekend, we're leaving Friday- returning Monday afternoon. Not too long of a get-away since we have that shoot on Tuesday, but it's better than nothing. So pack for warm weather- destination? Unknown. For you, at least. It's a surprise if you didn't catch that."
"I did catch it, bub. I'm pretty sure the table behind us caught that."
A few days passed, and before you knew it, you were standing in the middle of the living-room, suitcase in hand. You had been instructed to stay put while your boyfriend went ahead and made sure the car was outside, the one to take you to your destination.
"Okay, are you ready?" Jisung asked as he came through the front door, his smile wide and his eyes sparkling. You had to chuckle at the sight, as he looked like a child on his way to the park. You nodded, and he rushed over to you to grab your suitcase, and your hand. He dragged you out, making sure the front door was shut behind you.
"When are you going to tell me where we're going?" You nagged for maybe the umpteenth time since you had gotten into the car, but Jisung gave the response as always- silence.
"Sir, we will arrive at your destination shortly." The driver in the front seat spoke for the first time since you had gotten in, catching you off guard.
You had tried your best to follow the roads to try to predict where you were going, but the tinted windows had made it harder than you thought. You did, however, know that you had gone the opposite direction from the airport, so you weren't flying anywhere.
"Here we are." The driver said and rolled down the window on your side, so you could see where you were. After your eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight, your eyes found a massive boat. A cruise-ship. A cruise-ship?
"We're going on a cruise!" Jisung finally spoke from beside you, making you turn to him. You tried to read his face for a few seconds before you finally burst out laughing. This had to be a joke, right?
"No, really- where are we going?" You spoke once you had calmed down. Jisung then looked at you like you had grown a new head, and that was when you realized it was no joke at all.
"Jisung, sweetie, I'm not getting on that ship." You spoke softly, grabbing his hands, but his confused expression remained the same.
It was now his turn to think you were the one kidding, but little did he know - there were few times in your life you had been as serious as you were right then and there. He chuckled, but his face soon fell back to its resting state- that being one of a question-mark.
"What do you mean you're not getting on there? Are you like afraid of the ocean or something?" Jisung was obviously making a joke about the phobia part, but it had you nodding.
"Petrified." You revealed, his eyes soon growing understanding, and then panicked. "I have been ever since I was a child."
And that's when it hit. Til this day, you still don't know how he managed to get out so many 'I'm sorry's in such a short amount of time.
"I didn't even think! I should have connected the dots!! You never come with us to the beach or the lake! I have never seen you go in the deep end of the pool. I'm such an-"
After calling his name about six times, he finally slowed to a stop, letting you take over the talking while he took a breather.
"Don't worry about it, okay? How about we just drive to the airport and see what flights have remaining seats? It'll be fun." You smiled, Jisung nodding along, but not before he uttered out one final apology.
