i feel like i’ve noticed the price of books rise more sharply than anything else in my lifetime wtf

#went to a farmers market this morning and down the street was this new bookstore #and i didn’t want to be a lookyloo but damn $17 for a paperback are you kidding me... didn’t it used to be like under 10 #wish it was used books instead
