In my own experience as a Jewish Leftist, and corroborated by the similar experiences of other Jewish Leftists, there are, roughly speaking, five to six broad categories of Leftists in their attitudes towards Jews. This is a tangential categorization in terms of precise political affiliation; in other words, one's position in these categories is not dependent on what precise type of Leftist/Progressive an individual is.

Type 1: Open And Unapologetic Jew Haters

These Leftists hate Jews and don't try to hide it at all. According to them, Jews are the Problem, and they know what type of Solution they want enacted.

The archetypal example that I'll currently use is Cynthia McKinney, former US Congresswoman and US Green Party presidential candidate, who, well...

But this is also the class of Leftists who say that there is no room for Judaism in their ideal, imagined perfect world, that they picture everyone assimilating and giving up their ethnic and cultural identities to just be "human", and often single out Judaism as a particular problem in that regard.

Type 2: Closeted Knowing Jew Haters

These Leftists hate Jews, know that they hate Jews, but know that it's bad optics to openly praise Hitler or cozy up to the KKK to satisfy their hatred of Jews, so they try to find the barest veneer of plausible deniability to hide behind. "Anti-zionism" is a particular favorite on the Left, but the hatred has a way of slipping past the mask when they get questioned.

A classic example here is the Boston Mapping Project, who literally made up a list of every Jewish institution in Boston, Mass, on suspicion of them being "Zionist"--including elder homes, Jewish high schools, and Kindergartens, and including scary "links" on the map to various government agencies, no matter how tenuous or outright imaginary, thereby invoking old conspiracy tropes about "Secret Jewish Control of the Government". (And BDS, as the parent organization, also gave the lie that they're just antizionist, not antisemitic, when they disavowed the Mapping Project for bad optics, not the rank antisemitism and conspiratorial thinking they were promoting). Another example would be the organizers of the Chicago Dyke March, who explicitly expelled Jews from the March and crowed about "zio tears" (which is a slur originally used by the KKK, no less).

However on first encounter, Type 2 are indistinguishable from and camouflaged by...

Type 3: Undereducated And Unknowing Traffickers In Antisemitism

These Leftists don't hate Jews per se... they're just unaware of the deep antisemitic history of repeating claims that "Jews have too much power", or stating that the Holocaust was "White on White violence", or that "Jews are just White People from Europe", or any of a host of other antisemitic beliefs that are endemic on the Left. They're initially indistinguishable from Type 2, as they say the same things, and can only be told apart by their reactions; a Type 3 will go, "Oh, I didn't know and I'll try to learn!", while a Type 2 will typically double down, or let the mask slip in some other way.

The problem is that, from the perspective of Jews, Type 2 and Type 3 are indistinguishable from each other at first glance, and rather than try to engage and risk the emotional harm, a lot of Jews tend to write off all of them as Type 2, and there's a lot of debate on the ratios between the two.

Also worthy of mention, as a midpoint between Type 2 and Type 3 are:

Type 2.5: Openly Antisemitic "I'm Not An Antisemite, I Just Refuse To Learn, Listen, Or Let Jews Define Antisemitism"

As a midpoint between types, these Leftists openly traffic in antisemitic motifs, conspiracies, and attitudes, all the while insisting that they're not antisemitic. They're a midpoint between types 2 and 3 because they've had plenty of time and opportunity to learn about the bigoted attitudes they're espousing, but refuse to do so... but at the same time, they genuinely seem to think that they're not antisemitic. They just think that there's a vast Jewish conspiracy out to get them personally, or any of a number of other antisemitic beliefs, and refuse to accept or learn that what they're saying is antisemitic. They can believe that they themselves are not all they want, saying that Jews have too much money and power and run the world's politics is still trafficking in antisemitic conspiracy theories.

The archetypal example of this type, assuming we can take his word for it, is Roger Waters. Waters is openly and explicitly antisemitic, saying that there is a widespread conspiracy of Jews running the world's politics... but he has been insisting for over 40 years that he's just "antizionist, not antisemitic."

But these are just the outspoken ones. None of them would get anywhere without the tacit support of...

Type 4: The Silent Majority

These Leftists are, being blunt, hypocritical cowards. They don't want to get involved in issues on antisemitism. When a Leftist Jew is being harassed by one of Types 1 to 3, they don't speak up, they don't get involved, they just say nothing.

Maybe they agree with one of the above types. Maybe they just don't want to get involved. Maybe they're afraid of seeming sympathetic to Israel. Maybe they're afraid of getting the social backlash that the Jew is experiencing. But ultimately, their motivations don't matter, their actions do—and their actions give tacit social support to the antisemite in the Leftist group, not to the Jew being harassed and chased out.

And the reason they're hypocritical cowards?

Well, if your ideology claims that you want a better life for everyone and social progress and being against racism and bigotry... but yet they don't speak up when it's happening right in front of them...

Well.

That says a lot, doesn't it? Both on what their ideals actually mean to them... and how highly they value Jews. And we know that it is possible, because of...

Type 5: The Pro-Jewish Leftist

These Leftists are, in my experience, a minority outside of Leftist Jews, but they do exist among non-Jewish Leftists. They stand up to Types 1, 2, and 3 when they express antisemitic views, and try to shame and cajole Type 4 into standing up as well.

And, just to point out how normalized antisemitism is on the Left...

Some people in this category might object to being labeled as "Pro-Jewish", as if they're biased for Jews. But I have to ask... do you think that they would also object to being labeled "Pro-LGBTQ"?

It’s not as if their readers and viewers are unaware of the problem. According to Pew Research, the percentage of Americans who say Jews face discrimination has doubled from 20 percent in 2021 to 40 percent in 2024. And yet, for some reason, mainstream-media outlets seem to be the only ones who haven’t drilled down on the issue.

In fact, the decision to downplay the anti-Semitic threat from the left is deliberate. Left-leaning media do not like to cover the behavior of their own, as the inconsistent coverage of the Jew-baiting members of the Democratic Party’s “Squad” during the past several years attests. Mainstream reporters at outlets like the New York Times take great pains to provide context and explanations for Representative Ilhan Omar’s blatant anti-Semitism, for example. A 2019 piece gave Omar and her defenders ample space to claim she was being unfairly targeted for criticism because she was a progressive Muslim woman while glossing over the fact that she had repeatedly accused Jews of having dual loyalties.

Amid the current conflict, it’s evident there is tacit agreement among most in the mainstream media that because Israel is defending itself by trying to root out Hamas in Gaza, the behavior of protesters is somehow justifiable and acceptable—but only because it involves Israel and the Jews.

This goes well beyond the deliberately misleading stories and factual errors about the war that have appeared in outlets such as the Washington Post. As Zach Kessel and Ari Blaff outlined in National Review, in a deep dive of the Post’s coverage of the Israel–Hamas war, the newspaper “has been a case study in moral confusion and anti-Israel bias” and has “violated traditional journalistic principles that have shaped coverage of foreign conflicts by American newsrooms for decades.”

Similarly, a recent story in the Free Press by Uri Berliner, a long-time editor and reporter at National Public Radio, described how NPR “approached the Israel-Hamas war and its spillover onto streets and campuses through the ‘intersectional’ lens that has jumped from the faculty lounge to newsrooms,” which meant “highlighting the suffering of Palestinians at almost every turn while downplaying the atrocities of October 7, overlooking how Hamas intentionally puts Palestinian civilians in peril, and giving little weight to the explosion of antisemitic hate around the world.”

i promised myself i wouldnt talk about the gothic lit fandom drama anymore but i will just say that, while i dont care for other people curating their fandom experience and blocking whomever they like, it is very telling that big name fans are systematically blocking people that speak up against the racism and ableism that go unchecked in the fandom, and rallying other fans into doing the same claiming it's bullying. it's not. it's criticism and it's not even particularly biting.

if you keep using "it's satire" to defend uncritical consumption of racist media (marghen), harrass those that ask for an antisemitism warning even if it is a redundant one (dathen), miss the picture and paint the fans of a character mistreated by the fandom as violent for speaking up (draculadailybracket), or double down when confronted with the fact your writing is ableist and that certain stereotypes shouldnt be met with praise in 2023 (see-arcane and company), people have a right to be uncomfortable. sorry not sorry but that sort of behavior IS criticism-worthy.

i do agree that callout/cancel culture is unhealthy, but that doesnt mean you are free from accountability. when someone walks up to you and says, "what you're doing is bigoted [accidentally or not]", or hell, even, "i don't agree with this creative choice because [reason]", you can either

consider if what they're saying really is worthwhile, and meditate on it; apologize if needed, dismiss if they're wrong.

double down without a second thought

and a lot of big name fans are, sadly, doing the second, and convincing otherwise decent people to block "bullies" that are genuinely just concerned fans. i don't know- maybe a small speck of tumblr fame got to their heads. they certainly did not behave like that during the dracula daily run of 2022, and while the gothic literature fandom -like any fandom- has always had rampant issues with racism and ableism (made even more blatant by the fact the source material IS openly racist and ableist more often than not!), this is the first time I've seen fans put people on a blocklist for the offense of calling it out.

the old gothic lit fandom blocklist wasn't great but they certainly treated ableism within the fandom seriously.

like. idk. i just find it rather disgusting that the new big name fans are seeing a handful of people look at their creations and go, hey, this is not cool, and here's why, now, can you stop?, and reacting by painting us as violent bullies.

i've been put on the blocklist for pointing out LXG fanworks -specially "fixit fic" ones- should keep Mina as the protagonist instead of having her share that position with her husband that wasn't even present in the comics/movie, for fuck's sake. i've had a blog block me for saying a fanfic that depicts a villain as an extremely ableist caricature of dissociative identity disorder was gross (because it was!). like... are you aware that it is you who are being assholes here, right? i might be being rude or pushy at times but it's honestly grotesque that so many people are hailing some Shyamalan's Split grade shit as good, innovative, and progressive writing and "the antidote to bad Hollywood adaptations".

Another shift working the Holocaust Museum another chance for me to take pictures to make a point.

Notice the death toll. I don't mean in total. I mean how many in each place. Poland is first. But look who is second. Ukraine.

680,000 Ukrainian Jews. And this is just official from the Holocaust. There are thousands more dead from pogroms and Soviet massacres.

Ukraine has been bled and bled again. Over and over. By both the Soviet Union and the Nazis. Whether for just the singular crime of being Ukrainian or for the double crime of Ukr and Jew. And make no mistake, there were literal plans in place by the Nazis for what to do with the Slavic peoples. Any and all Slavic peoples. It is why Operation Barbarossa went ahead. It is why Slavic folks were shot after they were used up. The best a Slavic person could hope for under nazi rule would have been slave. This is what the plans called for. Kill like 90% of the population and use the rest for slave labor.

So sure there were eastern European nazi collabs. But remember how many died. And how few actually collaborated once it became clear the nazis were not there to save people from communism despite their propaganda saying just that. (Also, people miss the fact that they called it Jew Bolshevism aka judeo-bolshevism. They blamed the Jews for communism which conflated jews with communism when in fact communism murdered a lot of Jews. And we see echoes of that now. Like. Y'all will literally sit there telling me anti communism is antisemitic. And not even seem to get you're regurgiating nazi propaganda but in diferent wrapping. There is nothing to be gained by equating jews with communism. I have met many jews who had family flee communism but i have not met a single jew that is vehemently pro communism. I'm not saying they don't exist, just that it is very rare. Because we all know exactly who communism harmed because in actuality communism could never play nice with Judaism. They do not mesh at all. We were all exposed to the 'russia/soviet union is a jewish utopia' thing but I promise that was incorrect. )

Related: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy lost family in the Holocaust (a couple of great uncles i believe). He isn't alone. You will find the same story many places. And still we have people claiming ukrs are all nazis and Russia has the right of it. As if it didn't bleed Ukrainian jews as well. As if it isn't doing so right now. On every Shabbat, on every holiday, Ukrainian Jews have bled and/or died.

Semi related: just because a few Jews have played Nazis on screen (Taika Waititi, half the cast of Hogan's Heroes, Charlie Chaplin, a bunch of other folks too I'm sure) it doesn't mean it is somehow possible for a nazi to be a jew for real. And vice versa. We see this brought up so often and it makes my brain hurt. Like seriously your best defense when we say Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian Jew is that he is a nazi anyway? It is completely illogical. A jew can be self hating, but it is simply not possible for them to be a nazi. They can collaborate with nazis but at the end of the day they are the only people you can give collab credit to rather than just 'people who help nazis are nazis'. It is impossible no matter how self hating. Along with that you had a lot of people in ghettos who tried to save who they could by 'befriending' nazis. Technically collab, but not quite malicious. But at the end of the day a Jewish nazi cannot exist.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, proud Ukrainian Jew, cannot be a Nazi. Neither can the Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, who is also *gasp* Jewish (Shmyhal is a slavic form of 'ishmael/shmael' in fact). Literally the main reason people were unsure about Zelenskyy at first is they were afraid if he fucked up, he would be the cause for antisemitic pogroms in retaliation. (which is not the same as saying there's a bunch of Nazis in Ukraine. You don't have to be a nazi to be antisemitic and to blame Jews for shit.) No matter how you look at it, every explanation for the invasion and war are bunk. This one just makes my head hurt especially bad.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was once a darling of the far-right. Apparently not anymore.

Republican Rep. Greene disavowed white nationalist livestreamer Nick Fuentes, who’s now getting cozy with disgraced rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye), “and his racist, anti-semitic ideology” in a tweet last month. Ever since, Fuentes’ followers—known as “groypers”—have viciously turned on her.

Greene’s tweet was prompted by backlash to a dinner hosted last month by former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-lago featuring Ye, who is in the midst of a very public antisemitic meltdown, and Fuentes.

The dinner catapulted Fuentes into national headlines and exposed him—and his friends in high places—to an unprecedented level of scrutiny.

But Greene’s condemnation of Fuentes came about 10 months too late. She was widely criticized for speaking at his America First Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, earlier this year but brushed off the criticism, claiming simply that she didn’t know who he was. (Trump used the same excuse following the controversial dinner).

While Fuentes and his army of groypers might have been OK with Greene claiming not to know him, they were not at all happy about her recent disavowal of him—and say it’s the latest evidence that she’s sold out her far-right fans and betrayed their white nationalist “America First” movement. Only weeks earlier, she rebuffed her far-right colleagues in Congress by calling on them to back Rep. Kevin McCarthy in his bid for re-election as House Speaker.

McCarthy is viewed as an establishment “RINO”—Republican in name only—by many in the far-right, but Greene knows she needs him on-side if she wants to regain her committee assignments, which were stripped from her in 2021 after her statements on social media encouraging violence against her Democrat colleagues. So palling around with white nationalists, as she’s done in the past, may not be the best idea if she wants to claw back political cachet—especially given the rebuke of far-right candidates during the midterms.

“She’s just weak. She goes and says something edgy to get attention, and then when the pressure comes, she buckles,” said Fuentes on a podcast after Greene’s disavowal of him. “You know, she’s gonna be a MAGA-mom and QAnon and all that, and then the second Kevin McCarthy reprimands her and she loses her committee, she goes and apologizes.”

Fuentes also mocked Greene’s dreams of becoming the face of “Christian nationalism” in the U.S. “How are you going to be the face of Christian nationalism when you’re a divorced woman, girlboss,” said Fuentes. “I’m so glad I don’t have to pretend to support that anymore.”

He’s also taken to calling Greene “Large Marge” and is encouraging his followers to heckle her at events.

Far-right activist Laura Loomer also announced that she was done with Greene. “MTG is no longer an ally to America First,” Loomer declared on Telegram. “She may have claimed to be so that she could climb the political ladder, but she has shown she is all talk and zero action, unless of course the action is selling t-shirts and wine glasses.”

“You are their slave Marjorie, a slave to the Democrats and the Media that you constantly talk about,” wrote Holocaust denier Vince James. “By that statement [disavowing Fuentes] it just got to show you're living according to the rules of their game, that they've completely rigged against us."

“Here’s my take: grifters are gonna grift, and it’s just sad that we have to go through that kind of betrayal,” said far-right groyper Dalton Clodfelter about Greene on his podcast.

Greene has only doubled-down on her condemnation of Fuentes and his ilk since her initial tweet. Last week, Fuentes and Ye appeared on Alex Jones’ show for an hours-long broadcast featuring unbridled anti-semitism. Greene said that she’d watched some of that and described Fuentes as “immature young man” and “racist.” “What has he ever done in his life?” asked Greene. “He knows nothing more than anyone else.”

“I was concerned about some of the statements being made, Nick Fuentes being there as well,” she said. “The antisemitism, that has got to stop. It’s out of control, and we have no place for that anywhere in our politics or anywhere in our country.”

Greene then undermined her own statement with some “whataboutism” and tried to deflect blame by accusing Democrat congresswoman Ilhan Omar of antisemitism. (Similar accusations have followed because of her criticism of the Israeli government. She has apologized and has spoken out against rising antisemitism in the U.S.).

Islam has been the most expansionist fascist ideology in the last 20 years across the world, much like when they colonized south europe, northern Africa and the whole middle east for 700 years prio to 14th century. Religious extremists don't belong in secular societies.

I answer this only once because you're a troll but there are idiots who mean the shit you say out there. I'll also adress the homophobia argument you put in the other ask.

There are records of gay and trans people being attacked for being gay/trans by IOF occupants, christofascist extremists, and other hate groups including zionists.

Fascism is directly linked to christianity, so while islam seceded from christianity in ca 5th century, it has no link to fascism. Every fascist society in history, being it Mussolini's Italy, Pinochet's Chile, Bolsonaro's Brazil, or US throughout the years. Zionism may seem different but actually isn't; zionism is grounded in christian colonial mindset and, as I explained many times before, it's an antisemitic concept by default. I give you the benefit of doubt and assume you're honest about this and haven't seen my previous posts. Hence:

Zionism in its modern sense is antisemitic on so many levels it's hard to comprehend.

First, "Israelis" and zionism in general claims that actions of IOF speak for all Jews. Therefore, they

- actively erase the history, culture, and to a sense the very existence of Ashkenazi Jews and other non-Palestinian diasporas who have no ties to Palestine and therefore to what zionists call "Israel".

- "Israel" was created by the Western occupants of Palestine in 1947. Prior to the WW2, in 1935/36, before the Holocaust began, Hitler "offered" Germany's Jews to the Western powers. It was of course a scam for he knew that nobody would accept several millions of refugees. Bear in mind that the reluctance of the West was also caused by their racism not very different from that of Third Reich's. Most prominent European and US universities had a Department of racial hygiene up to the WW2. I only put this in to illustrate that the racial ideology that was a ground to Nazism was at that point considered a valid scientific theory, just like phrenology a century prior. This is not an excuse, but it may help to understand why this entire monstrosity of the Holocaust was allowed to happen to begin with. Anyway, West's reluctance to accept several millions of refugees was abused by Hitler's ideology. They were refused mostly because they were in droves, not because of their Jewish ethnicity. Nevertheless, Hitler warped this into the "The West refused our Jews, therefore nobody wants the Jews, thus the extermination of the Jews is justified" rhetorics. It was, of course, utterly psychopathic, yet it was what it was. The horrors of the Holocaust happened, leaving 6 million dead and many more lost, uprooted, and damaged beyond repair.

Now, after the WW2, the entire West double downed on Hitler's "justification" of the Holocaust. They were like Okay, this Hitler guy was a cunt but he was right. We don't want the Jews here, but we can't say it now when we condemned him for saying that. So let's do this. We make this huge ghetto in Palestine and remove all the refugees there, but we tell them we give the land to them so the Jews are gone and we still look like the good guys.

"Israel" is nothing but a ghetto built on the ideological foundations of the Holocaust and Nazism.

Now, IOF claims and acts as if it was a sole authority on Jewish experience. Not only is this incredibly insulting to Jews in general, but IOFs claims of being some sort of pan-Jewish holy homeland actively erases the entire history, experience, and really existence of Ashkenazi Jews. Mind you that IOF silence Jewish voices worldwide if they do not spew zionist lies.

Moreover, IOF not only declares itself a sole authority on Jewish experience, but it disregards any criticism of it as antisemitism. That leads to several interesting phenomena, such as

- Jews who criticize IOFs act of terrorism being labelled antisemitic,

- all Jews being equated to IOFs acts of terrorism,

- (recent) with current Netenyahu's calls for utter extermination of Gaza and dehumanization of the Palestinians, IOF are literally copy pasting Nazi propaganda that dehumanized the Jews, comparing Palestinians to animals and literally calling for genocide. Netenyahu is literally using Goebbles' words to describe the Indigenous people.

I'm not even going to adress your remarks toward islam; not only are you proving your islamophobic bias and utter lack of knowledge of islam in general (not that there wasn't anything to criticize but you prove that your pseudocriticism has utterly no ground beyond your islamophobia), but you also prove lack of knowledge of the Palestinian history and culture since majority of the Palestinians are actually christian.

Holocaust Museum Graciously Invites Kanye West For Private Tour, He Rejects It -- And Now They're Getting Threats!!

Kanye West’s antisemitic behavior is inciting real violence.

It’s been devastating to hear all the hateful and harmful things the rapper has had to say about the Jewish community in the last several weeks, and unfortunately, we are already seeing the grave ramifications of him using his platform for cruelty. Sadly, this is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

As we’ve been following, after making several hate speechesacross various platforms, the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles publicly reached out to Ye to invite him for a private tour so he could learn from his wrongs. The Heartless rapper quickly denied the offer on the Drink Champs podcast while complaining about someone not wanting to release his “White Lives Matter” t-shirts. He said:

“He’s telling me like, ‘Yo, I want you to visit the Holocaust Museum.’ I was like, ‘Yo, I want you to visit Planned Parenthood. That’s our Holocaust Museum.’”

On multiple occasions now, Kanye has falsely claimed “there are more black babies being aborted than born.” Ugh. So awful. And might we reiterate, completely untrue!

Now, the museum is reacting to his refusal to learn the history of the Holocaust — and showing the negative impact the rapper’s words have had on their community! In a statement released on Twitter earlier this month, the museum revealed they’ve been fielding threats ever since Kanye’s controversial chatter, saying:

“Ye, since we invited you to visit us at Holocaust Museum LA we have received a tremendous amount of social media messages and comments…some filled with hate, threats, and vitriol. Others were saddled with hurt and yearned for further discourse.”

They went on to slam him for using his immense power to tear down others, adding:

Ye, you have over 30m Twitter followers (twice as many Twitter followers as the total number of Jews on earth). You and anyone reading this can make a difference, you can choose to join us in building bridges rather than tearing them down.”

There are approximately 15 million Jewish people in the world, with around half of those in the US. Speaking to CBS on Tuesday, Beth Kean, the CEO of the museum, expressed similar frustrations about Kim Kardashian’s ex and the hate they’ve been battling ever since he began running his mouth. She opened up:

“We know for a fact that education is the greatest catalyst for change. When students and visitors come to the museum if they enter as bystanders they leave as upstanders. We know that.”

And yet, Kanye’s unwilling to educate himself. Beth continued:

“We publicly invited him to come to the museum and he publicly rejected our offer.”

On why this is so upsetting, she went on:

“I think Kanye has more than double the amount of Twitter followers than there are Jews living in this world. People like Kanye have a huge platform, he has over 30 million Twitter followers and he needs to understand that he needs to use his words to inspire and not incite and to not perpetuate hate and lies and antisemitism.”

She can say that again!!!

Not only has the museum received violent messages, but antisemitic behavior was put on full display over the weekend when a group (displaying Nazi salutes) hung a banner over the 405 freeway in LA. It read:

“Kanye was right about the Jews.”

Just despicable. Heartbroken by the unrest, Beth told the outlet:

“It’s infuriating that this is happening in our own backyard.”

It’s also just downright infuriating to see history repeating itself! To keep people safe, Magen Am, a non-profit security team for the Jewish community, has set up more patrols in the Fairfax District. The group includes more than 50 volunteers and veterans who provide safety training and armed response to dangerous situations when needed. President and CEO Rabbi Yossi Eilfort told CBS:

“Doing everything we can to show that we’re not afraid. We’re a strong community and we won’t act like victims.”

We hope these armed forces aren’t needed. It’s gut-wrenching to see things have even gotten this far. Kanye — and anyone with antisemitic beliefs, for that matter — needs to educate themselves ASAP. And at the very least, they need to stop pouring hate on an already vulnerable community.

As more brands and people cut ties with the Grammy winner amid these controversies, Ye will continue to be held accountable for his actions against an already-threatened community. And let’s be real, one of these days — when he’s strapped for cash — we wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to sweep this under the rug, but the damage, the severe damage, has already been done. It’s not the first time he’s made inflammatory claims like these, but the ramifications will last for years. And to learn he turned down an invaluable opportunity to learn from his mistakes? Truly disappointing. When will he fully understand the pain he’s caused with his recklessness?

Perhaps it’s time Ye fans come to glory on the fact that their MAGA fave’s recent antisemitic campaign is not only bigoted, cringe-worthy and legacy-tainting, but it’s also dangerous.

According to the Washington Post, the New York Police Department is investigating an alleged crime that took place in Central Park last Wednesday. The suspect, described as a man in his mid-40s, is accused of assaulting a 63-year-old man while making “numerous” antisemitic remarks and capping it all off with, “Kanye 2024!”

The fact that they're now trying to walk back the Zionist hero and say they're going to do her "differently" than her comic book origin (but hten like... why utilize her at all).

Listen, I think we reached this point... years ago, but it bears reiterating--we have reached a point where you cannot claim the MCU has any moral value or "good" representation or even any genuine attempts to be moral or have "good" representation. It has a clear agenda and it isn't aligned with anything vaguely moral.

It is imperialism, it is diversity for brownie points to manipulate audiences into accepting imperialist (and often outright fascist) ideology, and it is all the forms of bigotry that comes with using vulnerable groups to convey that message (in this case both antisemitism and anti-Palestinian racism). Just like when it was racist using Sam and Isaiah to usher in anti-radical, pro-bootlicking shit with FATWS.

At this point, there is just as much harm done to groups by having their characters be "properly" represented (and hten employed in bigoted and/or fascist stories) as there in having their identities sidelined/erased/replaced.

Marvel is not equipped to handle these stories because it does not want to be. Its alliance will first and foremost be to catering to its military funding and its core white, male, older audiences while throwing a bone to marginalized people here and there to get their money, get a thumbs up from society, and to make people feel "open minded" (so open minded, they let anything pour in).

I don't wnat to speak over any marginalized group I belong to and demean anyone for still wanting the best from Marevl, since it is taking over the media and is often the biggest platform for gaining acceptance.

But... I can't see it ending well. Ever.

Cause they pull shit like a Zionist hero in a movie called the new world order and it's either extremely thoughtless (bad fucking sign) or intentionally malicious (worse fucking sign) and there's no real way up from there. The call outs either just make them slap a bandaid on the issue and then continue to be thoughtless.

Or it makes them try to be more covert in their maliciousness. Or they just fucking double down, to the cheers of their stans.

The most controversial artist of our generation: Kanye West

I have never liked Kanye West, but I have never hated him either. Before the blowup of his controversies, I simply saw him as a rapper that made music I don't like and with some annoying fans. Though to be honest, this impression was mainly carved off one person plus the internet.

For those who are not aware, Kanye West has been a figure of controversy for some time now. In an interview in 2018, he stated that slavery "sounds like a choice". I know, I know; what was he thinking? I could go on forever about what stupid remarks Kanye has made over the years, but I will focus on the more recent controversy.

In late 2022, Kanye West stated "every human being has brought something of value, especially Hitler". He follows with saying he loves Hitler and Nazis, then posts a picture of a swastika merged with the Star of David on Twitter.

When in an influencer position like Kanye, you have to be extremely careful with your words. Especially nowadays, people will take things wrong and it could be career ending. Unfortunately for Kanye, he does the exact opposite of this; he makes it difficult to side with him.

Admittedly, I understand part of what he is saying. Spreading love and looking at the positives in everyone without exception is a beautiful way of looking at things. However, his way of expressing this is atrocious. First of all, claiming he loves everyone, especially Hitler. It is already a risky thing to claim love for one of the most evil people in history, but to double down and state your love for Hitler above others... needless to say, nobody reacted well to this.

I would like to add that Kanye says other questionable things on the same topic. He says there are positive things about Hitler, such as inventing highways and the microphone. The issue with these claims is that neither of them are true. Kanye also says he loves Nazis, which leaves his point of loving every individual; by definition, a Nazi is one who stands for antisemitism, supremacy of their own race, and ultimately, the Holocaust.

So while he may have a slight innocent foundation with his "love for all", Kanye West has said too many things to discredit himself. False claims about invention, claiming love for a group designed to do bad to others, and emphasizing on his love for Hitler are things he did not need to say. But since he said them, less people can view him as someone preaching good.

What's so interesting about him is how he still has people that look up to him. Why is this? I will be using Mariel Bustamante's "10 reasons we love Kanye West" article as a reference.

Like all people, there is good and there is bad. And within good and bad, there is the perspective that decides what is good and what is bad. Here are some qualities Mariel likes about Kanye, with my comments looking at it in two different ways:

~ "Lie to yourself all you want, Kanye haters, but Kanye West is a musical genius" The "good": Kanye is extremely innovative with his music, and is willing to make sounds that most people would probably not give a chance in the studio The "bad": Calling anyone that doesn't enjoy Kanye's music a hater and a liar is an immature point to bring up; everyone has preferences, especially in music. It is a fact that when making music, not everyone will like it.

~ "Arrogant or self-confident? We say self-confident" : The "good": Self-confidence is big in a person, and even bigger in an influencer. Kanye's confidence is a large factor in what makes so many people believe in him. The "bad": Arrogance and ego; when a person puts themselves above others, it becomes difficult to have the same level of respect for them as you would otherwise. Writing off the notion that Kanye has a massive ego with "we say self-confident" shows that some fans just can't accept truths.

~ "Kanye makes mistakes, just like any other person on the planet" The "good": This is true, as every person makes mistakes. We as people must make mistakes to learn and become better versions of ourselves. The "bad": Some mistakes are worse than others. Yes, people make big mistakes, but this sounds like an easy way to write off mess-ups.

~ "There is no hiding the fact that Kanye is a professional at speaking his mind, and anybody can respect that. He is often seen as arrogant or excessive with his words, but why? He’s always in the public eye, but he’s not afraid to express himself and talk about what he loves—that’s respectable" The "good": Not hiding your opinion and being true to yourself is another trait of a likable and respectable influencer. The "bad": While this is true, it is only true to an extent. Having influence over others, especially millions of people, is a responsibility. You have the power to be positive, but also to put bad ideas in people's heads.

As you can see, every statement here can be looked at in multiple ways. The reason it may look as though Kanye West fans twist things to make him look good is simply that they see things from a different perspective. Because of course, like in most people, he has a good and bad things about him. And as I stated earlier, within that, there are different ways to look at these good and bad sides.

The importance in understanding this concept is that this is how Kanye West sees the controversies revolving around him. His unique perspective allows him to come up with these "hot takes". This combined with his morals of speaking your mind is what always puts Kanye at the center of controversy. Perspective is key in a person's views. To understand why someone may think a certain way, it is important to consider perspectives.

For example, here is Piers Morgan's take on Kanye's initial Twitter ban:

Some may see a social media ban as free speech suppression. This is a valid point, but it becomes a more difficult situation when the free speech is openly making hateful comments.

Basically, Kanye West is constantly at the center of controversy. He explores unique perspectives and has ideas in his head that sound awful to others. He makes a lot of sense to some people, and no sense to others. Kanye's remarks upset many, which is what caused him to lose so much respect.

As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of December 2022 to make sure that they are never forgotten.

The ongoing meltdown of Kanye West has peaked far sooner than anybody could have expected, as he appeared on InforWars where he praised Hitler and regurgitated one antisemitic conspiracy theory after another to the point where Alex Jones started to pushback against him

...although billionaire manchild Elon Musk thought it was only worth twelve hours on limited features while claiming that it was a suspension, meaning that actual Nazism isn't against Twitter's ToS these days but suggesting Tesla's cars are utter shite is

Nothing says “Getting into the Christmas spirit” like Greg Abbott rounding up fifty migrants off the streets so they could be driven to be dumped on Kamala Harris’ doorstep for a PR op, especially as said PR op took place in freezing temperatures because the weather bomb affecting large swatches of the USofA wasn't enough reason to commit a little human trafficking to own the libs

German history isn't the forte of Prince Heinrich XIII Reuss of Greiz judging by him deciding to make himself the face of an attempted far-right coup to overthrow the German government, only to immediately be shut down by the German police in a wide- reaching batch of arrests. ...and then billionaire manchild Elon Musk showed just how well he can take getting bodied by Tim Cook by setting the charge for Twitter's paid verification to $11.99 for iPhone users instead of the $7.99 his army of sycophants and far-right trolls are paying

...before billionaire manchild Elon Musk started to really go off the rails by wittering on and on (and I do mean on ) about prosecuting Anthony Fauci with the most MAGA of “My pronounces are...” quote-unquote jokes, just to remind people that he was an anti-lockdown grifter back in 2020 who proudly stated that the whole thing would blow over by April (that's April 2020 , not April 2023) which made a mockery of the New York Times headline from only a handful of days earlier which stated they were unsure of his political alignment - and then he tweeted some meme of Fauci advising Biden to hold another lockdown like he was Grima Wormtongue, apparently not realising who was POTUS in 2020

...soon followed by billionaire manchild Elon Musk banning the Twitter account which tracked his private jet using publicly available information on various plane trackers, which only served to have Twitter’s factchecking quote back at him how he said he would not ban that user when he took over and, because Musk can only double down, quoted the First Amendment back at him

...which led to billionaire manchild Elon Musk having a complete meltdown where he started banning journalists left and right and removing Twitter Spaces in a fit of pique after he was called a lying liar who lies on a call using Spaces all because they pointed out his double standards of using what he accused Twitter of doing during his Twitter Files bullshit. The end result? Musk’s meltdown has a name and its own Wikipedia article

...and after billionaire manchild Elon Musk had thrown several fits of pique about what he thinks doxxing is (hint: what he thinks doxxing is is not what doxxing is, no matter how much he paid somebody to pose as somebody threatening him as he was looking for an excuse to ban the ElonJet guy) then he went and posted his exact location at the World Cup final, meaning he should ban his own account from his own platform

...followed by billionaire manchild Elon Musk posting what was, essentially, a “Do you like me?” poll on his Twitter account asking if he should continue as Twitter CEO - and losing. Of course, this has nothing to do with Tesla stock plummeting past critical levels the previous evening...

...and because billionaire manchild Elon Musk is a deeply insecure pissbaby incapable of accepting criticism, he then tried to make excuses for losing that poll claiming it’s bots who want him to fuck off and in future only Twitter users dumb enough to pay him $8 for a free site could vote in future polls

Of course Matt Hancock would try to use his raised profile as an excuse to rewrite history, specifically trying to claim that it was care home staff who were the reason Covid got into care homes in the first half of 2020 and nothing to do with him allowing patients to be discharged directly from hospital into care homes. And this is why Matt Hancock's mouth shall only be used as a receptacle for boiled camel penis until the day he dies

...and soon afterwards Matt Hancock announced, via TikTok of all things, that he had decided that he would not be standing as an MP at the next election...which turned out to be a complete lie, as what actually happened was his local party had told him to bugger off

I’m sure it's a complete coincidence that every time Chaya Raichik tweets yet another doctored video about some location with her LibsofTikTok account in order to further the “drag shows are groomers” narrative the alt-right are doubling down on with increasing insanity these days, that exact same location soon receives bomb threats

So much alternative offered by Wes Streeting where he boldly thundered that a Labor government would wage war on “hostile” health unions, putting them on the exact same standing as Jeremy Kyle thundering “bloody nurses” to the TalkTV braintrust

It took a while for people to notice Michelle Mone had been profiting during lockdown from dodgy contracts, although by “people” I mainly mean the BBC given they cottoned onto the story a good eighteen months after it first broke, so what did Mone do when the net finally started to close in? Bugger off to Honduras and post photos of her on her yacht to her Instagram as if she wasn't being investigated for massive amounts of fraud

Of course Jonathan Gullis would table a bill to override human rights laws about deporting migrants on the same day where four migrants died while crossing the English Channel - which was soundly defeated at the first hurdle

At this point we really need to check if George Santos is actually alive, because he's lied about pretty much everything else that it's worth checking if he has a pulse or if he lied about that too - and, of course, the GOP Republicans are praising him to the rafters, as lying liars keep appearing the front of their party

Bloody hell did Jeremy Clarkson not realise he was proving Harry & Meghan’s point with his completely unhinged rant about Meghan in his weekly column for The Sun - just as The Sun didn't realise that, by waving it through without seeing how deranged said rant was, they also proved Harry & Meghan’s point about the tabloid press

...and yet when Laura Kuenssberg interviewed Sun editor Victoria Newton as a guest on her Sunday morning show the day after the column was printed, somehow the subject was never broached. Good journalism, that...

Last Saturday, as the entire world now knows, an 18-year-old man named Payton Gendron killed 10 people in a Tops supermarket in Buffalo.

Of the 13 people Gendron shot, 11 were Black — in his livestream of the shooting, he's heard saying "sorry" to a white man he shoots. The other victims seem to have hardly even been spared a thought.

Gendron's motivations for the shooting were made clear in a 180-page manifesto he published online. The document, which includes multiple antisemitic references and makes clear he was expressly targeting the store, and that particular Buffalo neighborhood, because of the area's large Black population, leaves little to the imagination.

The manifesto included a nearly word-for-word repeat of Fox News host Tucker Carlson's interpretation of the racist "Great Replacement" narrative, a far-right conspiracy theory that claims Democrats and/or Jews are trying to dilute the white American electorate by importing immigrants of color.

This should come as no surprise to anyone who's paid even the slightest attention to Carlson over the past few years. The TV-dinner heir and child of total privilege who claims to speak for the common man has long had an affinity for the most racist of conspiracy theories.

Yet rather than reflect on the similarity between the ideological conspiracy theory they're pushing and the motivations of the Buffalo shooter, many conservatives are crying foul at the suggestion they might have some culpability for spreading hate.

Carlson is hardly alone. His allies and followers in the Republican Party have been parroting the "replacement" line for years. GOP rising star Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., one of the biggest proponents of the conspiracy, used it in a September 2021 campaign ad. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., used the term directly in a tweet praising Carlson, and candidates such as Ohio Republican U.S. Senate nominee J.D. Vance have also embraced the language. Judd Legum has a good overview here.

But instead of rethinking how they talk about immigrants and people of color, conservatives have gone on the offensive, playing aggrieved to drown their critics in crocodile tears. Stefanik, in a statement, expressed her sympathies for the victims of the shooting — and then turned things over to senior advisor Alex DeGrasse for a doubling down on anti-immigrant sentiments.

Meanwhile, Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo. — whom Stefanik replaced in the GOP House leadership after Cheney was ousted for her criticism of Donald Trump — tried to distance herself and her party from the racism she has supported for years, claiming that "House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism" while conveniently ignoring her own support for the racist birther movement, her career of Islamophobic hate speech and her hardline anti-immigration rhetoric — all of which is functionally little different from the more explicit conspiracy theories being repeated by Stefanik, et al.

Social media influencer and frequent Carlson guest Glenn Greenwald (a former Salon columnist), writing on his Substack blog, argued that those seeking to look into the ideological ties between the Fox News host and the shooter were being unfair. "There is no racial hierarchy in Carlson's view of American citizenship and to claim that there is is nothing short of a defamatory lie," Greenwald wrote, conveniently ignoring — as usual — the fact that Carlson's entire worldview is based on racial hierarchy and bigotry.

Other media figures also leapt at the opportunity to play defense, whining about fairness and respect for the dead. Commentator Kmele Foster complained, "When a lunatic goes on a deadly rampage, maybe wait 24-48 hrs before co-opting the tragedy to malice your political enemies." Daily Wire writer Megan Basham pretended to take the high road, calling on critics "not to pit racial groups against one another," a principle that, if applied, would erase the majority of her boss Ben Shapiro's output. Breitbart's Joel Pollack protested that inquiring into the shooter's obvious ideological links to other right-wingers was a "predictable attempt to exploit the shooting to censor debate and opposition" — even as he reiterated his support for the "Great Replacement" theory.

Wailing about persecution and unfairness is the right's go-to move whenever its leading voices are forced to actually answer for the reality of their belief system, and the fallout from Saturday's shooting is no different. The more noise they make to distract you, the more worried they are that people are beginning to pay attention to what they actually say.

When Adults Attack! (Teenagers)

(Sorry to everyone for dragging this up again, but some people are chronically incapable of letting drama die down.)

The last time I posted about this was 18 February. It’s now late-March. Despite repeatedly claiming to be “over it”, a self-proclaimed “respected history blogger” has been screaming into the void for over a month now. She seems to be under the unfortunate impression that she’s completely innocent of wrongdoing, all the criticism is unprovoked, she has been targeted by “white bigots”, and that she’s somehow the real victim here. So now I have to explain why that’s bullshit. Unlike her and her two friends, I don’t make extreme but vague accusations with zero evidence. I don’t make empty threats about “exposing” people.

The short story? She involved her own self in a situation that had nothing to do with her, downplayed her friends’ racism towards others, incited her followers to harass a teenager, repeatedly lied to her followers about the multiple POC who criticised her friends being “white”, and has continued to inflame the issue while trying to downplay her role in doing so. The long story? Well, I’ll let the receipts do the talking.

That’s Olivia’s first post at the start of February, days before I or anyone else had even said anything. “My anonymous Jewish friend said!” should have been a red flag to anyone capable of reading anything longer than 280 characters. I’ve already explained why Haley (lucreciadeleon/turtlemoons plus her 92849374 alt accounts) is full of shit and so have plenty of others (here, here, and here, to name a few).

Olivia claims that, as a Romani woman, she’s not obliged to engage with content that offends her. Fine. So why is a black teenager obliged to engage with Haley’s deranged anons? Why are her hate anons are so worthy of a response that not responding is an act of ANTISEMITISM that warrants Olivia telling everyone what an antisemite this teenager is for not responding? FYI, NO ONE is obligated to respond to anon hate, especially from people they’ve already blocked. And considering Haley admitted not once, not twice, but three times to breaking Tumblr’s TOS to circumvent a mutual block and send those anons (including how she did it), people are especially not obligated to engage with her.

I made my first posts exposing Taylor (lucreziaborgia/elizabethblount) and Haley’s lies and backtracking on 6 and 7 February. This was before I acknowledged Olivia’s role in inflaming the situation. In fact, I didn’t even know about her tweets until 8 February. Yet, here she is on 6 FEBRUARY already bitching about my posts to her Twitter followers. She has some nerve acting like I victimised her, just because I posted the screenshots of her bitching about me. And bragging about ‘gaslighting’? The word that multiple people have separately described what her two friends subjected them to? Classy.

I can’t “stalk” her public Twitter any more than she can “stalk” my public blog. What an exceptionally stupid claim to make, considering her tweets kept getting recommended to my mutuals whether they liked it or not. Have some integrity and own the shit you say, rather than backtracking, deleting your posts, and pretending that you didn’t say the things we saw you say. If you want to talk shit about others in public, be ready to answer for it in public.

I also wonder how this started over Henry VII. I specifically wonder how this discussion between myself and May (richmond-rex) triggered Taylor’s totally unprovoked racist comments about how we and Nathen Amin “simp for a dead white man”, and we should “simp for someone who actually advocated for the rights of others” instead. The implication being that Tudor history is only for white people like Taylor, and that only her fave is worthy of discussion (“AnNe BoLeYn WaS oThErEd BeCaUsE sHe WaS tAn.” Good grief).

When multiple POC called bootleg Regina George out for it, not only did she say she couldn’t possibly be racist because Haley approved of her racism, but also tried to argue that Nathen Amin deserved it because it was inappropriate for a British man to joke about Brexit. She then claimed we called her “anti-Welsh” (another fucking lie) to make it seem like a bunch of cRaZy blacks and browns were attacking poor, innocent white her (with Olivia coming to the rescue, of course). And as if that wasn’t enough, Haley then sent these bad faith hate anons calling Nathen Amin’s tweet ANTISEMITIC, for no other reason than to retroactively justify Taylor’s racist comments (though I didn’t see Haley getting offended when she was hate-scrolling through his blog before Taylor was called out).

That was the “antisemitic shit” Haley “privately messaged about” that Olivia thinks deserves a response. In case it's not clear: defending racism makes you complicit in racism. Being Jewish is NOT a get-out-of-racism-free card, and Haley trying to use it as one is absolutely dishonest, especially when NO ONE even knew she was Jewish until she finally admitted in February she was the anonymous ‘Jewish friend’ who sent those batshit anons. Other Jewish people also called Haley out on it, yet Haley and Olivia have conveniently ignored that little fact since it contradicts their narrative.

You think it’s over? Nope. Taylor then slunk into May’s dm’s with a half-arsed apology, where she admitted that the only reason she made those racist comments about Nathen Amin was because we “attacked Gareth Russell first” (“BeCaUsE AnNe FaNs CiTe HiS wOrk”) and she “just wanted to educate us about not lionising Henry VII” (even though anyone with eyeballs can read our discussion see she’s full of shit). At the same time, she and Haley were messaging other history bloggers, telling them that everyone who called them out were antisemites (including an openly Jewish mutual of ours) in an attempt to alienate them from the community. And this was just in JANUARY.

“I can’t be racist! My Jewish friend agrees with my racism!” That steaming load of backtracking horseshit is unfortunately the kind of nonsense Olivia has chosen to defend. FOR WEEKS Taylor ignored May’s messages, explaining why she — a black woman — found Taylor’s comments offensive. Did Taylor listen? Nope. In fact, she only replied in February: after she already started posting about how ignoring Haley’s hate anons was “antisemitism”. How convenient. Taylor might be a fucking idiot but we’re not. She only replied to May because she was afraid we’d use her own words against her. Clearly she never learnt a damn thing because here she is on 6 February backtracking on her apology. “Actually, I did NOTHING wrong! Also, you’re all antisemites for saying I did because my Jewish friend agrees with me!” And what made Taylor feel as though she had permission to start deflecting her vile behaviour onto others in order to get the heat off her? Olivia’s post about ‘their Jewish friend’ Haley: the one that followed Olivia’s “private discussion” with “her two friends”. Taylor is a racist hypocrite who hides behind the few minority friends she has to justify her racism, and attacks every other minority who disagrees with her. It’s no coincidence that the majority of the history bloggers who have a problem with Taylor and Haley’s nasty behaviour happen to be POC.

Despite Olivia admitting that she knew nothing about that situation other than what those two told her, she still took it upon herself to misconstrue and downplay to all her followers the extent of her friends’ racism, lies, and general nastiness (here she is on 9 MARCH). For her, our problems with racism are little more than “stupid drama”, “Henry VII drama”, “Gareth Russell drama”, “overreacting to a joke”, and “petty disagreements over dead people” because her friends are the perpetrators. Yet she demands everyone sympathise with her never-ending dramas and projects her behaviour onto others, despite the fact that she’s shown absolutely no understanding for why so many people have problems with her friends and has consistently defended the perpetrators. She’s entitled to be upset at whatever she wants to be upset at, but she is not entitled to tell her followers that we can’t be upset about racism directed at us, especially when that situation NEVER EVEN INVOLVED HER.

I agree. It’s disturbing that three grown women in their mid to late 20s have a vendetta against an 18 year old. Olivia acknowledged that her posts were reckless and that she would have acted differently if she just sat down and thought for one fucking second. But rather than correct the record on the same platform she made those accusations, she doubled down and took off to Twitter, saying that her anger entitled her to act that way. All with zero acknowledgement of the fact that the teenager SHE falsely accused and repeatedly mocked for her age was still being harassed by HER followers as a direct result of HER posts.

She might love the ‘clout’ that comes with a large following, but she evidently doesn’t care about the responsibility that comes with it. In Taylor and Haley’s case, it’s little more than a means to intimidate others into silence. Olivia might be a “respected history blogger” or a “good historian”, but that definitely doesn’t make her a good person. Far from it, if her behaviour is anything to go by.

This was on 9 February, 3 days after my first post. Bitching about me was all fun and games until the receipts came out, huh?

There’s nothing “insane” about keeping receipts, especially when Taylor and Haley are notorious for lying out of their arses and fake-apologising to people in the dm’s, only to continue mocking them on Twitter afterwards. You know what is insane though? Searching ‘romani’ on our blogs in a pathetic attempt to dig up dirt that doesn’t even exist (yeah, stat trackers exist). Do you know what else is insane? Haley spamming people with passive aggressive anons and sending anon hate to people who’ve already blocked her. She also “stalked” our WOTR group chat, though she’ll never admit to it, despite accidentally posting the dated receipts proving it. Oops!

It’s no secret that Taylor and Haley are cowards (as all bullies are), so it was no surprise when they eventually involved Olivia in their month-old vendetta against a teenager. They wanted to school a black girl on racism and Congolese genocide apologism, so they needed to get a “respectable history blogger” on their side. And Olivia happily obliged, kicking up such a fuss on their behalf that the teenager just offered to end it (despite the fact that Olivia vagued her first). Yet still Olivia continued, publicly mocking her age and calling her an “antisemite” long after the discussion was over (here she is on 24 February still carrying on). Either a teenager is old enough to be publicly shamed for being an “antisemite” and “antiromani bigot”, or she’s too young to be taken seriously. But at 25, Olivia is certainly old enough to know better than to participate in this kind of vile, petty, wannabe Mean Girl behaviour.

Olivia is not black. Taylor is not black. Haley is not black. So for the record, if you are not black, it is not your place to tell BLACK PEOPLE whether they can take issue with apologism for BLACK GENOCIDE. Multiple black history bloggers have already explained why they had a problem with Gareth Russell’s comments about the Congolese genocide (including the teen in question), yet that was less important to Olivia than not being able to call him a sexist weirdo because he’s gay. Olivia cannot speak on all minority issues — especially black and brown issues — and it is arrogant of her to assume that she can, especially since her understanding of the Gareth Russell issue came purely from “what she discussed with her two friends” by her own admission.

What a take. Here’s the “anti-Romani” post that I supposedly made. Precisely ZERO of my posts were about Olivia and not once did I even name her directly. So her claims that I mounted some kind of “vicious attack” against her is, uh, bullshit. Criticising her and her friends for their nasty, dishonest, and irresponsible behaviour isn’t “anti-Romani” just because she’s Romani. It’s no more “anti-Romani” than her erratic attempts to “expose” me are anti-Asian just because I’m Asian. It’s not any more “anti-Romani” just because the UK government has passed anti-Romani laws, any more than her telling deranged lies about me for over a month is an anti-Asian hate crime simply because there’s been an increase in anti-Asian hate crimes. I’m not British. I’m not from the UK. I have no control over whatever dumb, racist crap her government does. So she can fuck off and continue fucking off if she wants to make me personally responsible for that. The backlash she received had nothing to do with her identity and everything to do with how she purposely incited harassment against a teenager, defended her friends’ racism, and spread demonstrable lies to her followers. The “viciousness” of the backlash she received is directly proportionate to the viciousness of her own baseless attacks against others. She can claim to be more mature than an 18 year old all she wants, but do you know what the actual mature thing to do would have been? To not promote her friends’ lies and nonsense, especially when the other people they tried to involve had the sense to stay out of it.

Olivia, Taylor and Haley are fully-grown adults, but take no responsibility for their actions. Yet, they expect teenagers to have total control over not only their own emotions, but also the emotions and actions of others. Olivia thinks that a teen should be personally responsible for the behaviour of fully-grown adults, yet she’s close friends with Taylor — a racist, xenophobic bully who screenshots Tumblr people’s posts to mock them on Twitter (here and here from December), called Poles who’ve lost relatives in the Holocaust “genocidal loving freaks”, accused an openly Ashkenazi Jewish blogger of “internalised antisemitism” just for criticising her (a white gentile), said that people who like Mary I “resent their own siblings”, co-opted our struggles under Spanish imperialism just so she could bully ‘Spaniards’ (despite her being American and therefore equally responsible for genocide, by her flawed logic), and said that the black teen who called out her racism “really deserved to be bullied” and “needed to be policed”. Olivia is also close friends with Haley, who has a history of attacking people over posts that have nothing to do with her, publicly admitted to circumventing blocks in order to send hate anons, and likened me — a Filipino immigrant — to DONALD TRUMP and a neo-Nazi conspiracy theorist just because I posted the receipts exposing her lies, harassment of others, and projection.

Most of the people who have spoken out against these three didn’t even know each other until last month. Some of ‘us’ have actually blocked each other. Yet all of us agree that their behaviour towards others has been absolutely unacceptable. How is it that so many unrelated people from different corners of the ‘fandom’ have exactly the same problems with exactly the same people? If Olivia want us to take personal responsibility for “our friends’” behaviour, then she should first take responsibility for hers.

This is on 26 February, over a week after I last posted. As anyone with eyeballs can see, I called her British once. Not “repeatedly”. ONCE. So she can fuck off again with that bullshit. And why did I point that out? Because Olivia, a British citizen, made pejorative comments about “white Eastern Europeans!!!” just because she thinks some Polish people committed the heinous crime of... screenshotting her tweets. They didn’t even do it, and even if they did, how is that even relevant? Everyone knows that one specific Polish person lives rent free in Taylor’s head, so clearly Olivia just took Taylor’s word for it that it must have been The Poles who were “stalking” her. Maybe don’t take paranoid liars at face value next time?

Shameless, ignorant, tone deaf nonsense. Olivia constantly demands that people treat her and her identity with the utmost respect, yet here she was on 9 February already disrespecting the identities of others just so she can score some petty ‘oppression points’ against them. Why even bring their nationalities up? And why call them “white Eastern Europeans” instead of Polish since she knows they’re Polish? Is it because acknowledging that they are Polish would mean acknowledging that she doesn’t actually have a monopoly on a claim to discrimination or Holocaust trauma? Could it be that dismissing them as just some “white Eastern Europeans” was just another way for her to add credence to her own “pathetic lies” about the situation? There’s a word for that behaviour, and it starts with pro- and ends with -jection.

Let me reiterate: it is IGNORANT of her to use their identity against them, especially when hate-crimes against Polish immigrants have increased in her home country, and especially when the specific people she insulted lost close relatives (including Jewish relatives) in the Holocaust. It’s not “repeatedly mocking her identity” to point out her hypocrisy. Her being Romani is not an excuse for casual xenophobia. She might be able to hide her identity in the UK (though she shouldn’t have to), but Polish immigrants do not have the privilege of passing as first-language white British. I cannot pass as non-Asian. The black girl she and her friends tried to bully off Tumblr cannot pass as non-black. Olivia weaponising people’s identity against them just because she thinks they saw her public tweets is ignorant, petty, and completely uncalled for. She should be absolutely ashamed for using that pathetic argument, but based on her most recent farrago of nonsense, she probably won’t be.

Here’s her on 7 MARCH. And of course Taylor was the first to like it lol. Olivia may have deluded herself into believing she was just an innocent bystander, but unfortunately, enough people saw her admitting to inserting herself into the situation at the behest of her two friends. With every post before and since, her accusations have gotten wilder and wilder, falser and falser, and more and more irrelevant because she knows full well that none of her followers will bother fact-checking her. That’s the beauty of vagueing people. It’s how Taylor and Haley have been able to get away with pulling the wool over peoples’ eyes for so long. Too bad repetition, projection, and self-righteous outrage doesn’t equate to the truth because those are all those three have.

“SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPOSE THE WHOLE DAMN LOT OF THEM! BUT IT WON’T BE ME!”

No one has said anything since 18 February, yet here’s Olivia publicly inciting her followers again. She’s “done talking about it”, yet she’s the only one continuing the drama. She is being ‘persecuted’, yet she mobilises her followers to go after others. She needs to be defended against critics, yet she also can’t resist bragging about big her Tumblr following is, how “piddly” our notes are compared to hers, how she got over 30 followers to report my posts (they’re still up lol), and how many people she can get to dig through our blogs to find anything to “expose” us. Olivia, I’m sorry that you require constant validation from strangers on the internet, but not everyone has the same priorities as you. Some of us just come here to have fun, but having shitstarters in the community is decidedly un-fun.

All my posts were directed at Taylor and Haley, but since Olivia insists on making this revolve around her, let me clarify: she is a hypocrite and a professional victim. Words have meaning, and those words are the most accurate words to describe her behaviour. It has fuck all to do with her identity. She and Haley are professional victims because they act as if their minority statuses exempt them from basic rules of online courtesy and entitle them to run their mouths about others with no consequence. And Olivia is a hypocrite because she demands the respect and understanding that she has repeatedly refused to show to others. She made ignorant, xenophobic comments against Polish people because she falsely assumed they screenshot her public posts bitching about others. She pretends that the many POC who have spoken out against her are just some “white” hive-mind because admitting that we’re not white will discredit the victimhood narrative she’s been peddling to her followers. And she arrogantly presumes to be ‘our’ voice in the community, all while mobilising her following to intimidate and silence the minorities who take issue with her and her friends’ vile behaviour.

It’s extremely telling that in every one of her unlettered rants, Olivia made the conscious choice to conflate us with “white gentiles”, “white antisemites”, and “white Eastern Europeans”. Why? Because in order to “name and shame” us, she’d have to admit to her followers that the majority of the people criticising her aren’t actually “white”, but are in fact black, brown, and Jewish. Having repeatedly demanded that her followers defend her, her reputation and credibility now depends upon people continuing to see her as the oppressed victim of “bigoted whites”. Unfortunately for her and her friends, the truth will always come out. That’s what receipts are for, no matter what they claim.

The history community didn’t side with “a white gentile woman”. We sided with a black teenager who Olivia and her friends repeatedly mocked for her age, publicly and privately spread false accusations against, and incited their followers to harass with their never-ending posts. We sided against white racists like Taylor, and her white-passing enablers like Olivia and Haley. Since being called out for racism by a black girl discredited them, they had to discredit her. And unlike the others Taylor and Haley tried to involve, Olivia was their willing accomplice. If she has now been “alienated by half the history fandom”, it is because of her own behaviour and rightly so.

The ideal course of action would be for Olivia to finally take some responsibility for her actions, publicly apologise for her role in inflaming this drama, and move on like the rest of us have tried to do. But unfortunately, she may be too far gone in her own pathological need for online validation to ever admit wrongdoing without some serious introspection. So perhaps, Olivia, if anything else, you should just take your own advice and, once and for all, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
