miller with a clown reader.... whether its a clown career or just a clown aesthetic for their everyday wear. i think they'd be an interesting pair!! maybe the reader would do some clown makeup on miller in one of their streams one day?
Miller honks your clown horn as the stream goes live. "Hey, guys. Back with another stream, joined by my. They have a show today, and we came to the agreement that they could go if they painted my face - and promised not to make eye contact with anyone in the crowd."
You laugh at the statement, voice teetering off into uncertainty as you pick up a makeup sponge. "It's funny... because they're not joking. Anyhoo! Let's get started."
Miller pushes back their dreads so you can begin. You start by bordering their lips and eyes in white; resorting to scolding them after the fourth time they got paint in their eyes for refusing to close them. "Its hard looking away from the rainbow at the end of a storm." They tease, yelping in pain at the tip of your crayon goes directly in their socket.
You dust their cheeks with rosy red circles, drawing a blue diamond around one eye and a matching yellow over the other. They prepared the rest of their attire before hand, so their polka dot sweatshirt and multi hued dreads tie the whole look together. To add one final touch, you stick a heart shaped sticker on their cheek.
Miller cheeks your work in the mirror at their computer side, complementing your craft with an affirming nod. "Looks great, Sunshine- but we're missing something."
"What?"
"The lipstick."
Miller pulls you in by the bright, big bow on your shirt; locking their lips with yours as the chat notification goes haywire. They press into the kiss, pulling away with a deep breath and their lips coated in runny red and white like some sort of jester vampire. They pull you into their chest; matching scribble across your features.
"Well I see you can't control yourselves over a little kiss. That and I think me and Y/n here need more prep before their show. That's all for now, guys. See ya soon."

Fun Wedding Food Ideas
5 Hot Food Trends for 2022 To Consider For Your Special Day!
https://www.the-hungryplaice.uk/fun-wedding-food-ideas
Food Glorious Food!
The Food served on your Wedding Day is one of the most important (and expensive) parts of the day, there are so many different types of Wedding Food available that you no longer need to stick to the traditional sit down meal, there are lots of Unique Wedding Food ideas around whether you want a huge array of Food Types for your Wedding, a Simple Wedding menu or want Cheap Wedding Ideas On a Budget.
Here is our guide on how you can win over the crowd with 5 amazing and memorable Fun Wedding Catering ideas....
1. Street Food Vans at Weddings
There has been an massive explosion of Street Food Vans For Weddings in the UK, the Street Food Industry has seen a surge in the last few years with huge numbers of Street Food Markets appearing in City Centres and at Local Towns, there are Food Fairs and Street Food Areas found at most Public Events these days and there seems to be no let up in the scope of the food being offered. The Street Food Revolution has not been missed the Wedding market and any type of Food can be booked for your Wedding Day.
You might want to create a Street Food Village for your guests or you might want to have a Food Van for breakfast the day after to feed those hangovers. So there are two elements that you would be looking for when you find yourself a Food Van, these are the type of Food Served and the Unit that the Food will be served from.
Types of Food For Wedding Food Vans
The List on this one is literally endless, Mobile Caterers these days offer foods from around the world from American Slider Burgers and Greek Souvlaki to Thai Noodles and Caribbean Goat Curry. There is the old traditional Fish and Chip Van Hire (our favourite of course!) and we are used to seeing Burger Vans but Mobile Catering is more savvy and trendy these days so you can have a Gourmet Burger Van serving Kangaroo and Crocodile Burgers and Pizza Vans that serve Hand Kneaded Sour Dough Pizzas. There are types to suit all tastes and these cover both hot and cold food as well as Mains and Desserts.
With all the different lovely foods to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice, it is important to pick the right type of food to fit in with your day. You will want the Food to reflect your day, it might be a very chilled laid back type of day where a huge BBQ would be just perfect, you may wish to have an Italian theme with lots of Antipasti, Pastas and Breads, you might want to offer a smaller snack to your guests or have a Food Van for the main meal of the day, you might want a Crepes or Waffles Van or an Ice Cream Van as a little treat .
Just remember to choose something that you like and you are happy with and that most of your guests will like too you won't be able to please everyone but you need to remember to cater for a range of age groups who will all have a different taste palate!
Type of Food Vans for Weddings
For some couples the Look of everything they have at their Wedding needs to be perfect, everything needs to be in Beautiful, Colourful, Exciting and Exuberant, it could all be line with a theme, colour or style, to others it's not so necessary as long as the main points are covered.
Now how you view the point above will influence your decision on a Wedding Street Food Van and this will also affect your budget, you might be happy with a Simple Food Trailer but to have something special means you will have to spend more. You might have always had your eye on that Vintage Fish and Chip Van and because it fits in with your day you are willing to compromise on your budget to account for it and it means less spent on a different area of the day. There are smaller Gazebo setups and regular shaped Trailers aplenty, lots of these may be wrapped or themed, if these are offering something standard you will normally get a reasonable priced quote on these, just remember if you want authentic foods you may want to pay a little more.
If you want to make more of a statement there is lots to choose from horseboxes are everywhere at the moment in a huge range of different themes, colours and types, you may wish to have all your Food Vans to be the same type and as there are so many Horsebox Mobile Caterers it would be a good choice to choose them. As above you should expect to receive a reasonable quote for these sorts of setups it may be the type of food that would determine how much more expensive the cost will be.
The final type of Street Food Van is the Specialist Vehicle or Trailer, these are all unique catering units and will charge a premium for their services but you these will be truly memorable for your guests and give them something to talk about! There will be either be a modern unique vehicle or a converted Vintage Food Van, remember not to try and compare this type of offering to those above you should expect to pay more than a standard small sized trailer if you want something like this at your Wedding.
You might need to do a bit of research to see if your vision is actually on the market somewhere, the internet has a huge resource to show you what types of Food Vans are around, try Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, take a look at some Bridal Blogs and Bridal Magazines. Try typing in Google for the sort of thing you are looking for or look at Quote Comparison Websites.
2. Food Stations
Food Stations are a fairly new trend for Weddings, these are where an area of a room is allocated for a table, a Cart, or something like the top of a Barrel and on this a "Station" is setup with an array of food offerings. You might want to offer a snack during part of your day or setup a series of Food Stations to showcase your desserts. This is Fun Wedding Idea that could incorporate a huge number of ideas.
You could use a Food Station for practically anything you want, you may wish to employ someone to do this or just set one up yourself.
What Wedding Food Station Ideas are there?
Sweet Carts, Cupcakes and Chocolate Foundation are sure fire favourites for a Wedding but how about planning something a little different.
You could have a Station for Wines, Pretzels, Jelly Babies, Chocolates, Chips, Gins, Marshmallows, Cheese and Biscuits, Donuts, Pizzas, Fruit, Sweets, Crepes, Ice Creams and many more.
Just consider how you want to arrange everything and that the food will be left out so you might want to have certain things covered with closed jars etc, some items may need to be kept hot so you'd need specialist equipment for that but there are plenty of options for a Cheap Wedding Food Station Idea.
3. Grazing Tables
A Grazing Table works much like a buffet but should be Colourful, Exciting and Beautiful to look at, this is an exciting developing trend in the Wedding World and Caterers are finding new and wonderful ways of styling Tables and Food to make it look more glamorous and appetising for guests.
A Grazing Table could be made up of certain foods you have requested to go with the rest of your day or have items that reflect your theme like using flowers and foliage to complement your Vintage Themed Wedding.
This type of offering could be arranged by yourself or you could employ the services of a professional to take it all off your hands. You might want to offer a Grazing Table as part of your main meal or to replace the evening Buffet, similar to a buffet your food will be left out so you need to think about that if you are having your food outside for example and it may be difficult to keep food hot before serving in this way due to the nature of the Grazing Table Setup and "look".
4. Afternoon Tea
You might have a break in your Wedding Day just after you arrive at the reception venue or your main meal might be a few hours before your Evening Reception so you could opt for a Traditional Afternoon Tea.
This is a Cheap Fun Wedding Food Idea that you could put together yourself, head off to some charity shops and have a browse on Facebook for un-matching vintage crockery to use on the day, you might have someone handy who can help turn these into tiered cake stands where you can put some cakes or sandwiches and when you have finished with the crockery just sell it back on again! You could include Cream Teas, Hot Drinks including Hot Chocolate, Tea and Coffee and Sandwiches and fancy cakes.
The alternative is to look for Mobile Caterers that offer this service, they will include everything you need and will clear it all away when its finished so you don't need to worry about any washing up!
5. Alternative Cake Ideas
So this takes us to the last Fun Wedding Food Idea.....the Wedding Cake! The Traditional Wedding Cake is normally Tiered, it's Fruit or Plain Sponge, Iced on the Outside with decorative items and a Cake Topper on Top, wedding Cakes of today however are a lot more sexy!
Some people choose to have bespoke cakes made to reflect a theme, some want more or less tiers of colours other than the traditional white. Cupcakes have long been a Wedding Cake Trend with large or small Cupcakes filling a mountain that might also be tiered, this gives the opportunity to provide a selection of looks and tastes to suit the most discerning of guests.
Cakes can be displayed on a number of surfaces (as long as its food safe) like Cake Tables, Wood Slices, Plates, Platters and Boards.
But what about other ideas a little different to the norm?
Well Rainbow Cakes are a big thing nowadays with layered colourful sponges inside or multi coloured outside and of course there has been the move from Cakes themselves to things like Macaroons, Cheese, Jelly, Chocolates Pork Pies and Sausage Rolls!
So 5 Fun Wedding Food Ideas for you to consider at your Wedding, go on dare to be different.....

Your plus-size shopping guide to wearing bold prints and colors this spring
Tumblr media
Plus-size influencer and writer, Margie Ashcroft models spring's boldest looks from Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
Fitting in can be boring, and this season is all about standing out! As a plus-size fashion editor and street-style maven, one of my favorite things to do is find out-of- the-box ways to style extended sizes with a new fashion-forward approach. Since most publications rarely feature clothing above a size 16, I wanted to supply a stylish edit of bold pieces that will have you looking like a street style star in no time...no matter your waist size!
You know those brands that actually get you excited about fashion? To me, that’s Asos. I’ve been shopping the site for years and consistently find next-level pieces that fit my curves and personality. As a size 18 woman growing up in a small conservative town, finding fashionable clothing was nearly impossible! So when the new extended size division of Asos launched back in 2010, I instantly tried it out and have been a die-hard fan ever since.
The online shopping destination not only goes up to a size 26, but offers a fashionable assortment of designs that are affordably priced between $5 and $250.
This spring, we are not only seeing vibrant pops of color, but versatile animal prints which have slithered their way onto the scene. I know that styling plus-size clothing in cool and forward thinking ways can be tricky, so I am going to walk you through 5 street style outfits with a bold POV that will have you looking stellar this spring.
Take a walk on the wild side and keep scrolling to shop my favorite spring favorites from asos.com.

Plaid Power Suit
Tumblr media
Margie Ashcroft in Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
There is nothing that says “boss” more than a power fashion suit. I am obsessed with this flawless set because between the fit and the plaid print, the entire look is a home run. Plaid is one of those timeless prints with built-in sophistication, and I was beyond excited to refresh and update for spring. For this Kate Moss-worthy suit, I wanted to add a retro ‘80s vibe and and pair it with a multi chain waist belt and clear mules for a futuristic touch.
Since I knew the look was made of a woven material and the brand runs pretty true to size, I chose a size 18 in the pants and sized up to a 20 in the blazer. The pants are snug at the waist and have a comfortable slouch fit throughout to account for movement. I prefer my blazers to be worn a little oversized to accommodate my bust and layering. I feel like this size fits everything just as planned!

These modern clear mules give me a Cinderella vibe and can easily complement any outfit.
Shop it: $45 (was $56)

Zebra Tea Dress
Tumblr media
Margie Ashcroft in Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
Nothing says spring quite like a cute, bold printed frock, and I am absolutely loving the retro vibe of this zebra print tea dress! Even though the print is already adventurous, I wanted to take it to the next level by combining it with some unexpected styling.
Since the print is loud, yet minimal all at the same time, it is easy to pair it with a classic black heel. However, the bright accessories help elevate the look. As soon as I tried on this fearless and comfortable printed number, I was totally in love with the fit of the garment.
The dress is made of a super comfortable stretch material so I opted for the size 16 to assure a curve-hugging fit. I love the subtle romantic puff sleeve detail and V-neckline that leads down to the flirty side slit at the hem. The waist has a separate diamond front panel that cinches your frame and creates a flattering bust shape.
To refresh the look with more edge, I paired it with red and pink statement accessories.

Wear this neon pink sock with everything from sneakers to heels.
Shop it: $7
Heels
A killer red shoe is a wardrobe must-have for any woman. This pair in particular is great not only because it has a wide fit, but also a strong sturdy block heel for added support.
Shop it: $45
Head-to-Toe Python
Tumblr media
Margie Ashcroft in Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
I am officially obsessed with python prints this season. Some people are even claiming it’s the new leopard. Slowly but surely, this print has been taking over and I am going full Vogue on the styling, showing you how easy it is to rock this print-on-print look IRL.
The snake print can easily be classified as a neutral so it looks great paired with the same pattern. Since both the top and leggings are both stretchy, I opted to go for a size 16 because I know the garments ease up a bit after being worn.
For the jacket, I opted to size up to size 20 so I had enough room for layering (and I especially love the oversized jacket look at the moment). To top it off, I paired the outfit with a matching python heel. I promise this look will have people turning heads all night long.

These lightweight leggings are great worn on their own or as a layering piece. Try styling it with a black moto jacket and booties for an edgy look for going out on the town.

These heels look incredible paired with everything from a LBD to bold leggings.
Shop it: $40
Yellow Frame Glasses
I literally throw these bold sunnies on with any outfit for an instant pop of color.
Shop it: $16
Neon Two-Piece Set
Tumblr media
Margie Ashcroft in Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
Fluorescent shades are a major fashion trend that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Ever since Prada debuted their 2018 neon collection, the bright colored trend has been popping up all around. This was confirmed during my recent trip to Coachella where the color was being rocked by the masses.
This season, don't be afraid to go a little bold, adding a pop of neon to your look to give off the ultimate cool girl vibe. If you are looking for a beginner’s guide on how to style these daring hues, start with casual street wear and tone it down with a light colored overcoat.
For this look, I went for a size 16 and sized up in the jacket to a size 20 (for an oversized look). You can easily transform this look by belting the jacket and adding heels.
Tumblr media

Crepe Coat
This coat has a midi length retro vibe and looks chic thrown on top of just about everything.
Shop it: $63 (was $79)
Neon Set
This cotton lounge set is super comfortable, yet it makes a statement all at the same time. Try dressing it up by adding a black moto jacket and matching black heels.
Shop it: $23 (top)
Shop it: $23 (shorts)
Neon Ankle Socks
Colored socks are a fun and easy way to add a little spunk to any outfit.
Shop it: $6 (was $8)
Multicolor Sneakers
Sneakers have been all the rage this year and these rainbow colored soles are next level!

Tiger Blouse
Tumblr media
Margie Ashcroft in Asos (Photo: Harald Austad)
Quickly cast your animal print fears aside and get up close and personal with your wild side with this tiger print blouse. For those of you who want to test the waters with an animal print, this is the look for you.
I love the combination of a breezy cropped blouse and skinny jeans. I opted for super stretch black skinny jeans in a size 18 and sized up to a size 20 in the top for an extra relaxed fit. Again I paired the outfit with my favorite multi chain waist belt to dress it up.
For shoes I wanted to pick a comfortable, yet bold pair and found these amazing kelly green mules, which are instant statement pieces themselves. If you are looking for a more casual twist, try pairing the look with a bomber jacket and a fresh pair of white sneakers.

The 13 Best Restaurants In Somerville (1) added to Google Docs
The 13 Best Restaurants In Somerville (1)
Some people think Somerville is filled solely with 20-somethings whose porkpie hats blow off their heads when they’re riding their fixed-gear bikes to the local tattoo parlor. And some people who haven’t been there in 20 years and don’t realize that it’s the real estate speculation capital of New England still call it Slumerville.
There are a lot of stereotypes that a lot of people think define Somerville, and none of them are really true. What is true, though, is that this place has a lot of great restaurants. Here are the 14 best.
The Spots  Natalie Schaefer Sarma $ $ $ $ Mediterranean  in  Somerville ,  Winter Hill $$$$ 249 Pearl St
Sarma seems like it’s pretty much everyone’s favorite restaurant in Boston. And while we don’t give in to peer pressure easily (we still haven’t eaten a single Tide Pod) we do agree that it’s worth the hassle to get a table at this Turkish spot in Winter Hill. It has one of the biggest small plates menus we’ve ever seen, and nearly every dish seems to have an entire grocery store’s worth of ingredients in it. The result is some really intense stuff, like the harissa bbq duck with dates, almonds, orange blossom, and carrot. If you want to eat here without planning so far in advance that you’re not sure how old you’ll be when you finally get a table, try grabbing a seat at the bar, which opens 30 minutes before the dining room.
 Juliet Juliet $ $ $ $ French  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ 257 Washington St
This is Somerville, so it makes sense that there’s a fine dining place like Juliet that feels less like a restaurant and more like the kitchen of good friends who accidentally bought way too many ramps and are just going to see what they can do with them. The themed, five-course prix-fixe meals cost $60-$65, change every few months, and sometimes come with prose poems. If you’re interested in things squid stuffed with rice and topped with chocolate sauce, or rosemary roast lamb, you’ll have a great time here.
 Natalie Schaefer Fat Hen $ $ $ $ Italian  in  East Somerville ,  Somerville $$$$ 126 Broadway
If you were told you could eat only one pasta dish for the rest of your life, you’d probably want to rebel against the anti-pasta authoritarian dictatorship that took over the government. But you might also take the time to compile a list of over a hundred pasta dishes organized by taste, shape, and how many times they made you kiss your hands like an Italian chef. You should consider making room on that list for Fat Hen’s agnolotti with roasted parsnips, braised oxtail, and pistachio. The black bass crudo is also excellent, and the meatier, fishier entrees are worth trying, too.
 Natalie Schaefer Celeste $ $ $ $ Peruvian  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ 21 Bow Street
Is ceviche still ceviche if it isn’t made with fish? That prompt would work pretty well as one of those unanswerable philosophy questions that supposedly promotes mindfulness. But if you’re more interested in eating great Peruvian food than achieving a higher state of mental being, head to this tiny, colorful spot in Union Square. The fishless ceviche (it’s made with artichokes and hearts of palm) is excellent, but so is just about everything else here - definitely get one of the stews.
 Tanám $ $ $ $ Filipino  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ 1 Bow Market Way
Eating at Bow Market’s Tanam sort of feels like eating in a shipping container, since there’s only a single table in a rectangular room and you have to go outside and cross a courtyard if you want to go to the bathroom. But we would gladly spend months sleeping in a bunk and singing sea shanties if it meant having an all-access pass to Filippino food this good. On weekend nights you pay $90 for a ticketed meal that features things like braised oxtail, sweet coconut rice cakes, and lychee-crab brussels sprouts. But you can also just get bites and cocktails on Thursday nights, or pay $70 on Wednesday for a group meal served on top of banana leaves.
Tina Picz Ebi Sushi $ $ $ $ Sushi  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ 290 Somerville Ave
Always order the specials off the chalkboard next to the sushi counter when you go to Ebi. It’s not that the rest of the menu isn’t good, it’s just that the truffle scallop tartare and torched salmon belly elevate this place from casual little neighborhood spot to place that tempts you to “accidentally” get on a bus that goes through Union Square. Whether you actually go out of your way to eat here, or you live nearby and come in as much as possible, you won’t be the only one inside - it gets busy. But even though it’s a small spot, it remains comfortable and fun.
 Tina Picz La Brasa $ $ $ $ American  in  East Somerville ,  Somerville $$$$ 124 Broadway
This spot is as multi-talented as you claim to be on your resume, which is really saying something (especially since you claim that the time you negotiated a room upgrade in Mexico gave you experience in international business). They have big tables and a broad American menu with things like braised short rib and roasted oysters that will keep people happy. If you want to eat outside, there are sidewalk tables under those grey East Somerville skies. Just gonna hang by yourself at the bar? La Brasa has a big one with great cocktails, a small but well-curated wine list, and a burger with pickled jalapenos.
Tina Picz Field and Vine $ $ $ $ American  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ Sanborn Ct
If you’ve ever had a Honey I Shrunk The Kids fantasy, except instead of being lost in a suburban backyard, you wanted to be lost in a farmer’s market, head to Field and Vine in Union Square. The restaurant itself is covered in vines, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by things like rainbow carrots with arugula and cranberry, or grilled beets with mint and labne. The result is that you kind of feel like a tiny talking crouton wandering through a salad, but you’ll gladly eat your way out. The fish and meat dishes are great, too, particularly the braised oxtail.
 Tina Picz Istanbul'lu $ $ $ $ Turkish  in  Somerville ,  Teele Square $$$$ 237 Holland St
The Turkish omelette at Istanbul’lu in Teele Square comes in the skillet it was cooked in. We hypothesize that this is because the kitchen staff has to get the runny, cheesy mix of eggs, vegetables, and sausage out as fast as they can so they don’t eat it themselves. Come to this tiny, casual spot with rugs on the walls for brunch if you want a really good Turkish breakfast, or come for dinner if you want meze like steamed lentils with scallions or an eggplant-zucchini-yogurt mix that’s so good you’ll probably try to make it yourself later.
Natalie Schaefer Dakzen $ $ $ $ Thai  in  Davis Square $$$$ 195 Elm St
If you think “street food” means hot dogs cooked in something that looks like it receives Superfund money, you haven’t been living. Try some Thai street noodles at Dakzen - a tiny counter-service spot in Davis Square. The menu is pretty small here, which in this case is a good thing, because you’re going to want to try every dish. Our favorite is the boat noodle with pork that falls off the bone if you just look at it, but it’s also really hard to beat the sweet and savory khao soi.
Tina Picz Machu Picchu Charcoal Chicken & Grill $ $ $ $ Peruvian  in  Somerville ,  Union Square $$$$ 25 Union Sq
Don’t overthink things when you go to Machu Chicken in Union Square: get the chicken. Just about everything is well done at this tiny and casual Peruvian spot, but the perfectly grilled chicken with crispy skin and incredibly moist meat will remind you why you like chicken in the first place. If you’re in the mood to try something else, the empanadas are great, too.
Tina Picz Spoke $ $ $ $ American ,  Wine Bar  in  Davis Square ,  Somerville $$$$ 89 Holland St
Spoke in Davis Square is very much a wine bar, with small plates that are designed to complement your drinking rather than the other way around. But man are those small plates good. The sunchoke doughnuts (which are onion ring-sized, not doughnut-sized) are the type of snack you’re always in the mood for, and they serve a couple more substantial things, like Australian yellowtail with chickpeas and celery root. It’s a tiny little spot that gets crowded, but all your new wine and cheese friends make it feel like a party.
 Tasting Counter $ $ $ $ American  in  Somerville $$$$ 14 Tyler St
The great beers, board games, and live music are reason enough to go to Aeronaut Brewery just outside Union Square, but if for some reason that’s not enough for you, what if we told you there’s also a nine-course fine dining restaurant hidden inside? The Tasting Counter is exactly what it sounds like: a counter that seats about 20 people who want to taste some good food. The food in this case is excellent - seasonal stuff like squab breast, langoustine, and miso ravioli. At around $200 per person it’s not even close to cheap, but save it for something special and you won’t regret it.

Speechless
Lilian Moros. Gilbert Mead. Vance Elliot. Ryan Cooper. Troy Fredendum. Dating Show AU.
Gilbert nervously brushed his hair back as he sat back against the leather seats. The limo slowed, driving up the winding path to the villa.
He was almost there.
Anxiously, he picked the iPod he’d brought with him, planning to offer it as a gift, and rehearsed his opening lines mentally.
But when the limo door opened and he stepped out, he forgot everything he wanted to say.
He’d seen her picture obviously, read her bio, but nothing could have prepared him for the goddess waiting for him by the rose trellis. Her sapphire eyes were large and lined with lashes that brushed her cheeks when she looked down. Her rich brown tresses were brushed to one side of her head and cascaded over her shoulder, contrasting with golden shine of her dress. Her full, red lips quirked slightly as he tripped, barely recovering before he stumbled into her.
“H-Hi,” he stammered, a blush rising to his cheeks. He clutched the gift tightly. “’m G-Gilbert Mead.”
“Hello Gilbert,” she greeted, her sapphire eyes sparkling with humor. “I’m Lilian Moros.”
“I kn-know.”
Stupid stammer. He was definitely going to make an impression, with the way he kept tripping over his feet and his words.
Her eyes landed on the iPod. “You have something for me?”
Hesitantly, he held out his gift. “I b-believe that o-one of the b-best ways to g-get to kn-know someone is t-to listen to their f-favorite m-m-music, so I made you a playlist of w-what I l-like,” he explained, turning beet red. “I-I also p-put some s-songs that I thought you m-might l-like.”
Her smile widened and Gilbert thought his heart might stop. Which might be a relief, because he could swear it was audible outside his chest.
“I can’t wait to get to know you, Gilbert,” she said, the words spilling musically from her lips. “I’ll talk to you inside.”
He grinned bashfully as his head bobbed. “C-can’t wait.”
Inside the villa, the producers pulled him inside for an interview.
“So it seems like Lilian left you speechless,” Ren commented with a friendly smile as he sat down. He almost couldn’t make out her face with the lights flooding from around her. “Do you think you made a good impression?”
“I was d-definitely m-m-memorable,” the blond replied with a self-deprecating smile.
“You gave her some of your favorite songs, what kind of music do you like?”
“I l-like a l-little bit of everything,” he admitted with a blush. “But I l-like music that p-pulls you in and l-lets you get l-lost in the melody and the w-words.”
“What songs did you put on there that you thought she might like?” the producer pressed, gesturing for him to continue.
Beethoven. Brahms. Lindsey Stirling. Once he’d read she was a cello player, the choices flooded to him. They were artists who wrote evocative and masterful pieces to highlight the rich notes and haunting timbre.
“T-that’s personal,” he insisted.
He refused to answer, no matter how hard the producer pushed.

Gilbert’s anxiety only grew once he met his fellow bachelors.
Troy was a friendly world-traveler, with anecdotes about exotic locales peppered into every conversation Gilbert overheard – Lilian and he had talked about the Bahamas and the azure beaches and pink sands. The blond adventurer shared stories from his dive, painting vivid pictures of the rainbow reefs and explosion of brightly colored fish.
Vance was a multi-millionaire, dabbling in so many enterprises Gilbert couldn’t keep track of them. Electronics, wine, fine dining. Every step, every word, every look spoke of power and control. He’d fastened a diamond bracelet around Lilian’s wrist during the introduction and the jewels sparkled in the low lighting.
Ryan was a confident flirt, compliments as easy as breathing for him. He’d pulled the bachelorette away from the group early on, one hand on her waist as they stepped out onto the terrace. He’d tucked a lily behind her ear, the white petals complementing Lilian’s golden complexion.
With a sigh, Gilbert broke away from the group, tiring of the jibes and backhanded compliments that slid into every conversation. He turned a knob, hoping to find a bedroom or bathroom he could escape to.
His mood buoyed when he saw the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and the plump leather sofa. He ran his hands over the spines, smiling at the ridges and slopes of the embossed lettering.
“Do you think they would notice if I spent the rest of the night here?” somebody said behind him. He whirled around to see Lilian, looking tired.
“I-I think they w-would,” he stammered. “I kn-know I would.”
“Did you want to be alone?” the brunette asked, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. “You were looking a little overwhelmed out there.”
“I’m f-fine – I’m n-not the one being circled l-like s-sharks.”
Lilian laughed and Gilbert felt a smile tug at his lips, a jolt of pleasure coursing through him. It was so magical and musical. He could barely believe she was a human.
“Do you always stutter?” she commented, a soft smile on her lips. “Something about you makes me think of a poet.”
“I l-like to write,” he admitted sheepishly. “But the st-stutter happens w-w-when I’m n-nervous.”
“Do I make you nervous?”
“I think you m-make them all n-nervous,” he told her, ducking his head. “I’m t-terrified of getting s-sent home.”
She smiled blindingly at him and he felt like they were the only ones in the world, instead of on a reality TV show set. His breath caught in his throat.
The illusion was shattered when the camera crew shuffled through the door, making him feel claustrophobic as they crowded around him.
Lilian pursed her lips, displeasure flickering on her face before a smile replaced it. She took a rose from Ren, its stem cut short.
“You seem shy, so I didn’t want to give you this in front of the others,” she supplied, shooting a glance toward the crew. “But you seem so genuine and sweet, I’ve been thinking about our first meeting all night.”
The blond’s eyes were wide as she offered him the flower.
“I want to get to know you, Gilly, to talk about your favorite music and maybe soothe your nerves so you aren’t terrified of me.”
“N-not terrified of you, Lily, j-just astounded b-b-by you,” he hurried to assure her, scared to think he might have given her the wrong idea.
She laughed. “Will you accept this rose, Gilbert Mead?”
He beamed, struck speechless, and bobbed his head furiously as he took the proffered bud and tucked it into his lapel.
Over her shoulder, he could see Vance Elliot and Ryan Cooper watching him. Ryan was astonished, his gaze on the flower, but Vance was eying him as if he were prey.
Thomas Kelley shouldered past them, a wide smile on his face. “Congratulations, Gilbert. You’re safe during tonight’s Rose Ceremony.”
Those words seemed to be the cue for the cameras to shut off as the crew bustled out of the room, Ryan and Vance lost in the throng.
“Excellent, you two,” Thomas praised, clapping him on the back. “Lilian, let’s get you ready for the Rose Ceremony. Gilbert, Makeup is going to tidy you up a bit before your interview and when you’re done, you’ll join the other bachelors for the ceremony.”
Lilian squeezed his shoulder. “I’ll see you later, Gilly,” she promised with a small smile.
She disappeared in an onslaught of people who poked and prodded him to make him camera-ready. Somebody discreetly secured the rose to his lapel, hiding the pin so the flash of metal didn’t cause a camera glare. Another person combed back his hair and straightened his tie before positioning him on the leather sofa.
“So Gilbert, did you think you would be getting the First Impression Rose?” Ren prompted with a smile, leaning to stay out of the shot.
“I-I did n-not,” he replied. He couldn’t stop smiling. “I’m s-s-speechless.”
“Lilian seems to have that affect on you,” the producer laughed. “Are you excited to be staying another week?”
“I am, b-but I w-would have b-b-been fine if I h-had gotten s-sent home,” he informed her. “B-because I g-got to m-m-meet the most b-beautiful woman in the w-w-world.”
