DATING NCT A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Ten

A ⇴ AFFECTION

Whenever he has the chance, he’ll have some sort of contact with you. Ten will take whatever he’s given, but if there’s room to pull you closer or squeeze you tighter, then he’ll accept it in a heartbeat and do it.

B ⇴ BEFORE DATING

A simple “hello” was all it took for you to feel very comfortable around him. The two of you first met a party, that neither of you really wanted to be at. You’d been on edge for the whole night, but around Ten, you soon found yourself feeling a lot more comfortable as if you’d known him for years.

C ⇴ CONFESSION

His confession was romantic, Ten took you out one evening for a walk down by the river. He had a lot of love to give and he was determined to show you just how much he loved being with you. When he pulled you down on a bench, you knew that something was going on, just by the look on his face. But you never quite imagined that you’d end up listening to Ten tell you how much he wanted to be with you.

D ⇴ DATES

Your dates were always special, you could never quite predict what Ten would arrange for the two of you. Some dates were very intimate, he wasn’t afraid to take you out for fancy dinners or to huge events, but other times the two of you could be found slumped on the sofa with each other and a half eaten pizza resting on your legs. You loved how comfortable the two of you were around each other, regardless of whatever it was that you were doing, just your company was enough to make it fun.

E ⇴ EXPERIENCE

You were the first experience Ten had of a relationship, he’d always just been a trainee, never a boyfriend before. He’d often turn to his members for advice and support to make sure that he was doing the right things with you. If he had an idea for a date, he’d run by at least three of the other members first to see if there were any things that they thought he should change or tweak. All he ever wanted to do was impress you, that was all that mattered to him, every moment with you had to be perfect.

F ⇴ FIGHTING

There were definitely times when things got a little heated between you both. For the best part, Ten was very empathetic and understanding of how you were feeling, but there were also times when he couldn’t help but get a little bit snappy and short tempered with you, most of time not realising he was doing it. If he believed he was right, he would definitely get a little argumentative with you. But it wouldn’t take the two of you long to realise that your arguments were pointless and work with each other again to resolve them and be able to move on from it all together.

G ⇴ GETTING TO KNOW HIS FAMILY

His family knew all there was to know about you before they even met you. Ten loved to tell them all about you, so when you got the chance to finally meet them, somehow it ended up feeling like you’d been a part of the family for years. And you didn’t have to get questioned much either, as Ten had already answered them.

H ⇴ HOME

The thought of moving in with you was definitely something that appealed to Ten. If he had the chance to be around you more often, he’d take it. Whilst the two of you were respectful in the dorm, a part of him always felt like it held you both back from truly being able to be a couple together in a home.

I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”

Ten was the first to say “I love you” when his eyes fell on you at the airport after coming home from tour. He never expected you to be there, but seeing your face after so much time apart triggered a lot of emotions in him. As soon as his arms were around you he just couldn’t help but let it all out and tell you exactly how he felt about you.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

He wasn’t someone who got jealous much, he knew that the boys loved to tease him just as much as he’d tease them, so he’d be pretty good at just biting his tongue and nodding his head whenever anyone did try to make him feel a little bit jealous. He was protective of you, but he also trusted his friends around you to be respectful, and he trusted you always to never let anyone overstep the mark around you, but if they did, he wouldn’t be afraid to let them know.

K ⇴ KIDS

Having children was something Ten saw in his future, he loved being around kids. It was something he surprisingly put a lot of planning into. He always imagined when the other members started to enlist that he’d consider settling down, whether it was in Korea, Thailand or somewhere else, he didn’t mind where he ended up having a family, just as long as he had one was all that mattered to him.

L ⇴ LAUGHTER

If there was one thing Ten loved to do, it was tease you. If you showed him any sign of weakness he’d hang onto it and tease you about it for a long time. His teasing behaviour would always put a smile on your face, and on his too. But if he took it too far, you’d definitely stand up for yourself and tease him back. The boys had given you plenty of hints as to where his weak spots were, so you always used that to your advantage when trying to get back at him for mocking you. No one loves a joke more than Ten, and that was definitely something that you learnt very quickly about him. He hated it whenever he wasn’t laughing.

M ⇴ MISSING

Being on the road was incredibly hard for him, it hurt his heart a lot. He’d often try and banter his way out of conversation around you, but the boys knew him better than that. Whenever a fan mentioned your name at a meet and greet or concert, he’d excuse himself for a minute and recompose himself. At that point, he just wouldn’t be able to get you out of his mind. He tended to try and switch off from you when he wasn’t able to talk to you because he knew that if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be able to think about anything else for the duration of the tour and that things would never go as well as he hoped them to.

N ⇴ NICKNAMES

It was a weird nickname you had, he’d always call you “eleven.” It started off as a joke, so that the two of you could be side, but over time it just began to stick to the point that if he didn’t call you by it things would be strange.

O ⇴ OBSESSION

He was obsessed with your height, Ten was used to being the smallest member, but having you around complimented his height a lot more which was something that he absolutely loved.

P ⇴ PDA

Being affectionate with you in public isn’t something that Ten is afraid of. If he wants to make a point that you’re with him, he’ll do it, but it definitely doesn’t happen often. He’ll love to tease you with affection in public, and whilst you often have to tell him to stop pushing the limits, he can’t help himself but to have fun.

Q ⇴ QUESTIONS

If he’s come up with a new choreography, he’ll love to get your opinion on it. Or if he’s stuck for a transition, he’ll ask you what you think and demonstrate. If you come up with a good idea though, prepare for him to take all the credit as he’s the dancer after all.

R ⇴ RANDOM FACTS

Whenever he had the chance, he loved to get his sister to make custom pieces for you. Ten loved having a sister as a designer anyway, but knowing that he could get her to create things that only you’d have to was an added bonus. He loved to sit with her and get creative, telling her all of the things that he knew you’d like. He put a lot of heart into them, so when he saw you liked them, it was always a huge relief.

S ⇴ SEX

As already mentioned, Ten has a lot of love to give, and he certainly makes sure to give it during intimacy. He prides himself on knowing your body to a tee, and never wants to leave you feeling disappointed. He’s prone to being a bit of a tease, but after some initial fun, he’ll be a lot more emotive and tend to take things a bit more seriously so that he can impress you and make you feel good and fulfil your needs.

He’s not someone who will text you often, he’d much prefer to be able to ring you and hear your voice. It’s always a great comfort for him to listen to the sound of your voice, regardless of where he is or what he’s doing.

Ten always imagined that he’d make a pretty good boyfriend one day, but for that, he needed a perfect girlfriend, and he had definitely found that in you. He was very much a better version of himself thanks to you

Being a part of two groups meant holidays were limited, so instead, Ten would try and get you a ticket for as many work trips as possible. He loved having you there so that you could see all of the cool things he got up to, but also be there to entertain him whenever he had a day off and nothing to do except laze around.

He’s not someone who tends to whine often, he knows at times you can be busy. But if you leave it long enough, he’ll make sure you know he’s not happy.

Very teasing when it comes to kisses, Ten loves to see how far he can push you before you either stop kissing him and grab him to warn him not to play any games. At other times though, he can also be very affectionate with his kisses. He’ll always make sure to kiss you, morning and night, and whenever he ends a call with you he’ll make sure to blow a kiss down the phone as he knows it puts a smile on your face.

You were a partner in crime to him, someone who could match him.

If you woke Ten up with a coffee, you were guaranteed to be his favourite person for the rest of the day. You never understood how someone could like coffee so much, but it was the perfect wake up call for him, especially when it came with you.

DATING NCT A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Kim Donyoung

A ⇴ AFFECTION

Doyoung tends to love to be affectionate when it’s just the two of you. He’ll often cuddle up closely to you when no one else is around and whisper a lot of sweet nothings into your ear. And of course, leave his lips against your skin.

B ⇴ BEFORE DATING

The two of you met through Johnny at a party for his birthday. You were stood at the bar all alone, and so Doyoung came over to say hi, as he was never one to leave a damsel in distress. He offered to buy you a drink to try and get you smiling again, and the two of you soon struck up a conversation with each other.

C ⇴ CONFESSION

Your friendship soon blossomed into something more, you spent a lot of time together as friends, and not long after did the two of you begin to wonder if there was something more between you both then just being friends. Doyoung ended up confessing to you one night at the dorm when he invited you round for a quiet night, in the middle of a competitive game to try and take more of the attention away from what he said to you.

D ⇴ DATES

Your dates were often very homely, Doyoung loved being in his own space so he’d often invite you to the dorm and set up a romantic space for the two of you. Movie nights were very common between the two of you, wrapped up tightly in a pile of blankets and cushions as close as you could be together. Doyoung gives the best hugs, so being able to lay against him all night long makes for the perfect date night in your opinion. You’re happy doing what makes Doyoung comfortable, and if the dorm is it, you’ll never complain.

E ⇴ EXPERIENCE

Dating was very much a mystery to Doyoung before he started dating you. When he fell for you, he fell with his whole heart and wanted to make sure that he did things right. He often turned to his elders in the group for advice and encouragement whenever he doubted himself. Sometimes, falling in love with you scared him as he never imagined himself falling so hard, but with the support of his friends around him, they’d always assure him that he was doing the right thing and keeping you happy.

F ⇴ FIGHTING

At times, Doyoung could be a little bit snappy which led to a few squabbles between the two of you. He had a bit of a shorter fuse in comparison to some of his other members, and you weren’t an exception to feeling the wrath of that at times. He always tried to remain calm around you, but sometimes he just couldn’t help but bite back. When the row of you argued, Doyoung would often leave for a little while to give you both some space to think, and after a few hours, would return so that the two of you could talk things through with each other, and he could apologise for being so abrupt.

G ⇴ GETTING TO KNOW HIS FAMILY

Doyoung couldn’t wait to introduce you to his family, he wanted to show off the girl that had stolen his heart. It led to a lot of expectation being placed on your shoulders, but every time you saw them, they loved you a little bit more than they did the last time they saw you, and saw how happier Doyoung was with you too.

H ⇴ HOME

His space was very valuable to him, so Doyoung didn’t want to rush anything when it came to moving you in. As much time as you spent at the dorm, knowing you still had your apartment was incredibly comforting, and seeing you give that up was often an intimidating thought for Doyoung in case anything went wrong.

I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”

He was the first one to say, ‘I love you,’ at the end of one of your movie nights after watching a harrowing romance. Doyoung found himself incredibly teary at the end of the film, and when his eyes met yours as the credits rolled, he couldn’t help but whisper those three little words down to you whilst you wiped away his tears.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

There were definitely times when Doyoung would get jealous, selfishly he wanted to have you all to himself, but he knew that wasn’t possible. Whenever he got jealous, he would stare a lot, it was also a pretty subtle hint to any of the other members who were around you that they were overstepping the line. He couldn’t help but often be quite protective of you, even though he trusted you implicitly, it all often felt too good be to true as if he was waiting for someone better to come along and blow him out of the water.

K ⇴ KIDS

Having children was definitely something that Doyoung saw in his future, but he was definitely in no rush. He wanted to take things slowly with you, even after several years he didn’t want to do anything that would scare you off. With that, he wouldn’t mention children around you often unless you brought it up and then he would know that you were happy to talk about it and wouldn’t get frightened if he suddenly brought it up.

L ⇴ LAUGHTER

The sound of your laughter was what Doyoung lives for, he loved being there to make you laugh, and also wear a proud smile on his face whenever you made him laugh too. You could often be heard by the other members laughing away in his room at even the most random of things. There was something infectious for Doyoung about being around you that just naturally made him laugh, his cheeks were always hurting whenever he was with you, there was never a dull moment as long as he had you with him to keep the smile on his face. Any time the two of you laughed together, usually spelt out mischief for everyone else.

M ⇴ MISSING

Being on tour and away from you was always an emotional time for Doyoung. He hated the distance of being away from the dorm, and from you. You usually stayed at the dorm to keep an eye on things when he was on the road, but seeing that you were there and he wasn’t was almost like a torture for him. If there was one bonus about having you there, it was that as soon as he got home you’d already be there and waiting for him in his room. There were definitely a few occasions when Doyoung would get teary about being away from you, the other members would often see him wiping under his eyes with his sleeve to try and hide his tears before he was spotted getting upset.

N ⇴ NICKNAMES

It was a nickname that Doyoung hated, but you loved to call him ‘dodo.’ It was one you used to try and sweeten him at the end of an argument once, which just so happened to stick with the two of you, much to his disapproval.

O ⇴ OBSESSION

He’s obsessed with your waist, he’s an incredible hugger, and loves to keep his arms wrapped tightly around your waist whenever he pulls you close to him or rests against you.

P ⇴ PDA

Affection in public isn’t something the two of you are huge on, you’ll usually feel Doyoung hugging onto you from the side or behind, but that’s as far as anything goes. It’s enough to make sure that he knows you’re safe and with him which is all he worries about whenever the two of you are out in public.

Q ⇴ QUESTIONS

The two of you would often ask a lot of questions to each other late night at just before you went to sleep, cuddled up to each other. Neither of you could ever just fall asleep, so you’d stay up and chat for a while about whatever thoughts came to mind for you both.

Every single thing that reminded Doyoung of you, he kept. Underneath his bed he had a whole folder alone dedicated to all of the cards that you’d given him over the years, either for his birthdays, anniversaries or something else. He found himself attached to it all, just knowing that you had given it to him meant that he didn’t have it in him to throw the stuff away, instead he’d hoard it all under his bed where no one else could see it.

Would often be a very cuddly affair, Doyoung would love to hold you as close as he possibly could to you so that his hands could run through your hair and his lips could press to yours. Doyoung loved to take his time with you, he was never one for a quick fix or to rush anything between you both, you were worth a lot more than that, and he wanted to spend a lot longer making sure that you felt loved and safe with him.

T ⇴ TEXTS

He’d often text you with suggestions of films for the two of you to watch that night or a takeout that he fancied ordering. He’d always ask you what you thought about it, and if you liked it, he’d always set it up for you both.

Doyoung loved welcoming someone into his own world, even if he enjoyed his own company at times, there was still something so comforting about knowing that you were even just in the room with him, even in silence.

The two of you never really tended to go away, you knew that if Doyoung ever had any time off then he’d like to spend it at the dorm and just enjoy his own comforts and his own personal space. You were more than happy to do whatever Doyoung was comfortable with, just being able to spend a bit of time with him was enough.

Doyoung doesn’t tend to whine too often, unless you’re spending too much time with the boys and not him. He likes to make sure he’s always your favourite member.

Whenever he cuddles you, he just can’t help but kiss you too. It almost comes as an instinct to him to kiss your cheek whenever you reveal it to him, or press your lips whenever there’s a short distance between the two of you. If you’re feeling down, Doyoung knows that a kiss from him will usually be the medicine to put a smile back on your face. More than anything else, he loves to make you blush by pressing as many kisses to you as he can.

You were his team mate, the two of you together were inseparable.

He’d cling to you every night, without fail whenever the two of you went to sleep together. He loves having you close when he sleeps, it’s incredibly comforting to Doyoung to know that you’re that you’re right there beside him, especially when he has a restless night.

A ⇴ AFFECTION

Minseok’s affection is very protective, he takes great care of you and loves to be able to hold you so that you feel safe around him. He loves to be able to close you off from the world against his chest and keep you to himself.

B ⇴ BEFORE DATING

He caught your eye one day in the queue at his favourite café, you were briefly listening into his conversation with his friend when he overheard you sniggering at one of his jokes. As his eyes met yours, he could only manage a smile in your direction, being pushed by his friend to say hello and introducing himself properly like a gentleman should.

C ⇴ CONFESSION

The date of Minseok’s confession was a very quiet affair. He was incredibly shy about telling you how he felt, he didn’t want to get his feelings hurt out of fear of rejection. He told you one night over a dinner at a nearby restaurant how he felt, his cheeks were bright red until you responded and told him how you felt. When you did, his smile instantly reappeared, and he was quick to crack yet another joke to forget about his nervous mood.

D ⇴ DATES

Minseok was very protective of you, and so your dates were often strategically planned. He loved to take you out, but he knew that came with a risk, so he’d often try and bring your dates outside into your home. You were never one to complain about what you did on your dates, instead you made the most of having time with Minseok. A lot of his dates came as a surprise, you’d come home some days and see the table set or an activity planned, Minseok loved to surprise you with setups that he knew you’d enjoy at the end of a long day.

E ⇴ EXPERIENCE

A relationship was something that Minseok had never experienced before dating you. He was very focussed on the group and felt as the eldest member he needed to set an example. But after finishing his enlistment, he decided to focus a little more on his personal live. He’d always talked about how he believed in love at first sight, and when he saw you that day at the café, he knew what he had believed in had come true. He would definitely be worried beforehand about keeping you safe and making sure you were well looked after.

F ⇴ FIGHTING

The two of you didn’t argue often, you were very compatible together. Minseok was usually very calm and level-headed, he hated hurting you or even dreaming of saying the wrong thing. The only times when Minseok could get a bit snappy were at the end of a day at work. His attitude would be a little shorter than usual, but when he began to realise that he was being brief, he’d take himself out of the situation for a while and come back to you when he felt a bit more relaxed. He’d always apologise if he was a little out of character, it didn’t matter how understanding you were, he’d always feel bad for being so short.

G ⇴ GETTING TO KNOW HIS FAMILY

You knew how close Minseok was to his family, the last thing you wanted was to break the bond that they all shared. Luckily for you, Minseok had told them many stories about you beforehand which meant they quickly took a liking to you, and you quickly bonded with them as if you’d always been a part of their close family.

H ⇴ HOME

Having spent a little while living alone, Minseok was quite keen to have you move into his apartment with him. He didn’t want to rush anything, he wanted to make sure you were happy and safe, and when the time was right, he was more than happy to offer you a key and officially move you in to make his house a home.

I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”

Minseok was the first one to say, ‘I love you,’ one evening over a dinner. He’d been away from you for a few days whilst he worked on some music, and naturally his lyrics began to revolve around you. As he read back over them, he managed to piece together exactly what the lyrics meant, and exactly what it was that he needed to tell you how he felt.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

He was very aware that he wasn’t the loudest person in the room, so at times, if someone louder had your attention, Minseok would feel a little threatened. He tended to stand a little closer to you if he was feeling jealous, rather than making a huge scene. You’d often be able to tell if Minseok was feeling jealous as he’d flash you a small smile to drop a bit of a hint as to how he was feeling. Similarly, if you were feeling jealous, he’d be able to tell straight away by the look in your eyes and quickly appear closely into your side.

K ⇴ KIDS

Minseok had never given a family much thought until he met you. Having completed his enlistment, he knew he was nearing an age where he could begin to think about settling down. It was a topic that he was quite nervous to bring up around you, but when he did, and you told him how you felt too, he really began to envision what a future would look like if the two of you were able to start your own family together.

L ⇴ LAUGHTER

He loves to tell jokes to try and get a laugh out of you, the cheesier the better for Minseok to try and make you squirm. He loves to see you smile and know that he’s making you happy, regardless of what he does. He’ll often take you by surprise too by random things like a funny face or appearing in a costume or doing an impression. Those are the things he often saves for those closest to him, his way of showing you how much he cares. Your laughter is one of the most important things to him and he tries to hear it as often as he can.

M ⇴ MISSING

When he’s away on tour, he’ll try his hardest to be fine. Whenever you ask him how he is, he’ll put on a brave face so he can protect you and make sure you can’t see him struggle. It will be the same with his members too, but they’ve known Minseok for long enough to know when he’s struggling. They’ll beat down the barrier until he eventually admits to them that he’s having a hard time, but will also make the others promise not to tell you so that you don’t have to worry about him. Reluctantly, they’ll listen, knowing that Minseok will do whatever it takes to keep you safe, they’ll sit and listen to his rants and issues to make sure that he doesn’t end up blowing up in front of you.

N ⇴ NICKNAMES

Minseok loves to keep his nickname for you simple, ‘love,’ is usually his favourite. He’s a big fan of traditional nicknames, whenever he uses them, they always end up making his heart flutter and butterflies arise.

O ⇴ OBSESSION

He’s obsessed with your smile; he loves nothing more than to know that you’re happy in his company and that he’s doing a good job in making your life a little bit brighter.

P ⇴ PDA

Minseok isn’t a massive fan of PDA, he’s quite quiet around others, and his affection will be the same. A comforting arm around either your waist or your shoulders will usually be the most that you’ll get. Similarly, in interviews, he will often keep his guard up and only share minimal information about your relationship.

Q ⇴ QUESTIONS

The biggest question that Minseok often asks you is if you want to hear a joke. He loves to surprise you with a dodgy joke as he knows how much it will make you smile. Secretly, you’ll want to say no, but he’ll end up saying it anyway.

R ⇴ RANDOM FACTS

It’s well known that Minseok loves to have things related to the band on his phone, but that will change when he starts dating you. His lock screen, home screen, phone case, anything that can be made with a photo of you on will have it. He loves to be able to see your face when he’s away from you when he unlocks his phone or will often stare at his phone case when he’s got a few moments to himself and smile.

S ⇴ SEX

Intimacy is the time when Minseok will take the most care of you. He likes to dominant, but not in a way of showing off how strong he is, more in showing off how in love with you he is. He’ll do all the moving, often whilst pressing several kisses to your skin. He loves to be in charge and encourages you to relax whilst he looks after you, making sure to keep you as close to his chest as he possibly can with his arms around you.

T ⇴ TEXTS

He’ll often check in with you during random points of the day to make sure that you’re doing alright. If you don’t reply with an hour or so, Minseok will begin to worry until you eventually do reply to his text.

U ⇴ UNIVERSE

You were Minseok’s biggest fan, he loved having someone around who was his responsibility. He loved the fact that he was the one who you looked to for love and attention, and he loved to be the one to have the honour of taking care of you.

V ⇴ VACATION

He loves to go on holiday with you and explore a different world. Minseok is a bit of a foodie so he’ll want to try out as many different places as possible whilst travelling with you. When he came, he’ll try and get you to come along on tour with the boys so that he can keep an extra close eye on you and show you the world.

W ⇴ WHINING

If you don’t laugh at one of his jokes, prepare for trouble. He will tickle you endlessly until you eventually cave and give him the laughter that he wants from you.

He loves to kiss your cheek or the back of your hand when he has a hold of it. Minseok is a bit more of a hugger than a kisser, so when he does kiss you, make sure that you treasure them. He won’t peck you often, his kisses tend to linger for a few moments so he can make sure you know that he loves you by them. If he kisses you, he’ll definitely expect one back from you too so that he knows that you love him too.
