About Wuxie in ep 26.
Tumblr media
Look at this! Vice House Master and all three Keepers asking Su Mengzhen to hand over his position... And only three (you can even count) ordinary members are following them
Tumblr media
Su Mengzhen is watching at Wuxie like he is his last hope... Like his words can change everything
Tumblr media
How visibly Wuxie is steeling himself to say these words because they really can change everything. He has power to stop this "coup" or support it
Tumblr media
And all of the ordinary soldiers following his unspoken command
Tumblr media
And Su Mengzhen looks like he is physically punched 🥺
Tumblr media
A bit later Su Mengzhen is trying to go through soldier's formation andtrying to order Wuxie (not soldiers!) to let him through
Tumblr media
I love their interactions even when they are arguing 🥺
Tumblr media
But just one word from Wuxie - Wuxie not Su Mengzhen! - and they are forming a passage for Su Mengzhen
Tumblr media
And that's just how Wuxie is watching conversation between Su Mengzhen and Lei Chun. Yu Bin is such a good actor ❤️
Tumblr media
And about another but very representative moment Lei Chun is asking to give her father a chance to survive and exactly "Recall every manner of the Messenger Pigeon Group you planted around the Six Half Hall"
So maybe Wuxie is not the strongest fighter but in the House he is the second and his authority is comparable to Su Mengzhen and and sometimes maybe even higher. And even in all of jianghu he is one of the most influential people.

After all of everything, she still wants to protect SMZ!

He really is crazy. But he also loves playing god because deep down he knows despite the status, he’s more powerless now than when he was a no-name vagabond in a small border town.

Lei Chun has a lot of issues and has done many problematic things, but her utter lack of give, her refusal to hide her dislike and contempt, are wonderful.

Well duh.

Of course he bends the results until they are what they want.

One of the things I love about this drama is its refusal to have a love triangle even when there is one. Lei Chun NEVER wavers, never misleads. She’s always loved Su Mengzhen and Su Mengzhen only. Even when she hated him, she loved him. She has never felt love for BCF - when he was a nice person she felt nothing. When he’s a monster she feels nothing. He wooed her, he was friends with her, he was selfless, he protected and saved her, he hurt and humiliated her - nothing made any dents in her lack of romantic feelings and I love it.

Longer than yours, dude!
PS BCF’s whole arc is reminding me of Yang Kang in LOCH2008 - where I loved him and his attempt to stay good and pitied him for the horrors the world threw at him and understood when he finally snapped but then hated him for the hell he put my faves through. I hope BCF like YK will get that last chance where he snapped out of it and came to himself - even if he still had to die, he died sane and free. (But then YK had the steady love of Mu Nianci throughout and it was the one thing that kept him tethered sometimes while here Lei Chun’s lack of love is a goad to BCF.)

I finally watched the last episode of Heroes today, and even though I had seen many gifsets about his ending long time ago, and I thought I knew what to expect, Bai Choufei's death was still one of the most depressing ones I've seen in a long time.
Not just the failed suicide leaving him begging in pain for euthanasia, without Wang Xiaoshi or Su Mengzhen being with him. And never knowing how deeply they still cared for him, even then.
But also how, during the final big confrontation, everyone was blaming him and his ambition for every horrible thing that had happened. Even though Lei Chun was standing right there, she who had him tortured into madness and complete villainy. I love her too, and his ambition did play a part of course, but it felt very unjust to blame only him.
Also, 3/5 of the main characters ending their own lives during the last few moments of the episode made this a very sad finale.
