when seokmin made the decision to attend the halloween event, he fussed over what to dress up as. drawing blanks as the clock ticked down, a coffee date with a friend that was crashed by an eager manager led to questions being asked, and an idea being given. the main protagonist of jujutsu kaisen joined the party; an anime that he adores. hair dyed pink, with his skills in art, he was able to recreate sukuna's sinister smirk on his hand, and to pull the costume together, he has one of the antagonist’s fingers. the braveness of itadori yuji is something he wants to have one day.

Holidays had always been more of a formality than anything else for the Kwon family. The moment Arlo was out of there, he stopped participating altogether.

He didn't have the intention to assist, but knowing of the recent tragic events involving Willow, the doctor remained anxious about his sister going to said party. Costume required. He almost threw all hidden love for his sister overboard, but ultimately bit his tongue and decided to participate.

The Kwon's do nothing half-ass; either you go for the best or don't go at all. Money can buy you anything, so he decided to pick something interesting but still elegant. Arlo remained still as prosthetics and make up were being applied. Not too bad, he thought. His younger self would have been delighted, for sure and he tried to suppress a smile as he inspected himself in the mirror. He absolutely loved it.

despite how adverse he is to large social gatherings, jonghyeon took a leap of faith and decided to do something out of the ordinary ( for him, at least ). convinced by his older sibling for the three of them to go in tandem as the boo brothers from scooby doo, you’re likely to see him sticking towards the walls and away from the general commotion.

ANCHORAGE TASK 04 / HALLOWEEN COSTUME

FEATURING... TOMO KATSUMURA as THE WIZARD HOWL (howl's moving castle)

Tomo has always taken Halloween costumes seriously, even if he's usually more drawn to costumes that look cool rather than costumes that look scary. There probably isn't much need to explain why he'd enjoy Howl of all characters, either. The coat is the highlight of this look; it looks expensive and well-made, and that's because he commissioned someone he knew back in LA to work on it months ago. That's how seriously he takes this. No wigs were involved in this outfit, by the way. Just Tomo's own hair dyed black and some light extensions thrown in courtesy of Min. There had been discussions of a group costume but Tomo was busy and distracted and, most crucially, he'd come up with his own idea. He'd never been good at letting go of something once it crawled its way into his head. (tomo is not participating!)

NAM BEOMSU is participating as FUSHIGURO MEGUMI !

as an avid anime watcher, beomsu chose to honour one of his favourites, the stoic sorcerer of jujutsu high, fushiguro megumi. when he heard that nikolai planned on being gojo, it was only natural for him to hop on board as the character who he sees himself in. borrowing a pair of the other's boots, his costume was fairly simple to put together, with the addition of a wolf tooth necklace in reference to fushiguro's twin wolf shikigami, the divine dogs. like his costume partner, he resonates with the character he’s dressed as, making it all the more fun — something he doesn’t have enough of.

NIKOLAI XIANG is participating as SATORU GOJU !

getting told from friends and fans alike that everyone's favourite special grade jujutsu sorcerer reminds them of him, nikolai felt like it only made sense to be gojo for halloween. similar in both appearance and personality, it was an easy costume to put together, and an even easier decision. in true fashion of his own character ( extra as ever ), he sports a dazzling pair of panthère de cartier earrings, as well as a limited edition tank cintrée watch from the same company, and his hair is dyed a light ash grey to make the character come to life. jujutsu kaisen is one of the few series that he has an attachment to; satoru gojo is a character that he deeply resonates with.

ABHINAV DEVI as VANTHIYATHEVAN (for Ponniyin Selvan) will be participating

Abhi of course would dress up as some character from a South Indian (kollywood) movie, because they read Ponniyin Selvan twice growing up and they loved the movies. They put the outfit together themself with help from their three kids (who all three went as the siblings from Ponniyin Selvan: Aditha, Arunmozhi, and Kundavai). He was also thinking of picking something from Western media and going as that, since last year he went as Jack Skeleton, but his kids convinced him because they wanted to go as the siblings, and now they get to order him around and tell him which sibling to protect.

Lou had been letting his roots grow and had even considered to dye his whole hair dark again, but when Bronx suggested the costume idea, he couldn't say no. He had even tried to convince Bronx to go as Barbie, but the other argued that Lou wasn't even into him in first place and the dynamic would not be the best. "You'll have to rock that Mojo Dojo Casa House on your own".

Probably just as dense, but not as emotionally immature, Lou will even commit to the Ken lazy strut and stupid comments about horses throughout the night. Looking like an asshole, but his heart of gold will remain, so any comment about him being actually mean will probably send him to cry in the bathroom. Very Ken of him if you ask me.

ANCHORAGE TASK 04 / HALLOWEEN COSTUME

FEATURING... MINWOO KIM as SURVIVOR IN A MALL DURING A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (d/awn of the dead-inspired)

Less concerned with accuracy and more concerned with dressing well and looking dramatic, Min's costume is more of an homage than anything specific. Although the movie Dawn of the Dead was the point of inspiration for the look, he's not dressed as any particular character. It's more of a meeting between fashion and horror, if the carefully applied fake cuts and blood are any indicator. A fake ammo belt is worn across his body like a chest harness and his thick-heeled boots would guarantee him a broken ankle in a real apocalypse. The clothes themselves were chosen with the 70s in mind, given that the fashion of the era is (ironically) alive and well in the movie, but he's gone for more of a bastardised pastiche of the era. It's about the overall mood, the way the little details create a larger image. But don't accuse him of not trying to dress up. This is a costume. Min would never wear this much brown otherwise! Besides, the fake blood is pretty convincing, and he's specifically applied his makeup so he looks as though he's in desperate need of a good night's rest. (Or maybe he is just tired from stressing about this party the whole night prior.) This outfit is also part of a group costume with Atticus & Micah; Tomo had been involved at some point, until he'd gotten distracted with his own whims. (min is participating!)
