If so … I am working on a sound piece to accompany my new pop-up book “My Anatomical Journal: Notes from the Body in the 21st Century” It will feature first-person accounts of the body as it is experienced through health, illness, accident, typically, atypically, ever-changing. Do you have a story? Either experienced directly or witnessed? And would you like to share it? If so, I am currently recording and interviewing participants! I would love to hear from you. It’s official. "My Anatomical Journal", is currently available for pre-sale! Inspired by antique medical books, this six-spread book is full of anatomical flaps, pop-ups, and booklets featuring a variety of systems (ie ocular, auditory, musculoskeletal, and circulatory/respiratory), as well as the human skull and hand. Books are scheduled to ship in early fall and all pre-sales will receive a set of anatomical postcards as a special thanks! Okay. So … it looks like it is happening. The six-spread “My Anatomical Journal” will go into production next week. Spending the next few days preparing illlustrator files with artwork and die_lines for the factory. Hoping to launch the pre-sale in June in time for the summer solstice. With luck - and if everything goes to plan taking account the world in crisis and limitations on my own Jedi-level capacity to compartmentalism - the books will arrive lat early October, or in time for Halloween fairs! Still not sure about AR animations. Also, I want to provide some kind of goodie for anyone who pre-orders. Not sure what that will be. Open to suggestions.
