Tom Pidcock gewinnt trotz Verletzung

Das 58. Amstel Gold Race 2024, eines der drei Ardennenrennen, wird in den Niederlanden ausgetragen. Der Zeitplan dieses Rennens ist derselbe wie im letzten Jahr, der immer noch 254 Kilometer umfasst. Die Fahrer, die das Radsportbekleidung tragen, müssen sich 33 Mal stellen und insgesamt 3500 Höhenmeter überwinden. Der Straßenabschnitt ist anspruchsvoll und die letzten paar Dutzend Kilometer sind kurvig und eng, sodass jedes Team die Gelegenheit nutzen muss, stecken zu bleiben. Gleich zu Beginn des Rennens zeigten die Fahrer ihre unglaubliche Seite. Bei Langstreckenrennen sind diejenigen die Besten, die bis zum Ende durchhalten können. Im abschließenden Vierer-Sprintduell stürmte Mauri Vansevenant als Erster, während Tom Pidcock, der ein Profiteams Fahrradbekleidung trug, von links kam und sich von hinten den ersten Platz sicherte. Dies war auch sein erster zweiter Platz beim Amstel Gold Race. Mit dem dritten Platz stand er schließlich auf dem höchsten Podium dieser Veranstaltung. Sircy wurde Zweiter und Benoit Dritter.

Gisteren vond de amateur versie plaats van de "Amstelgold race" door het Limburgse land. Ook de Maasberg in Elsloo was opgenomen in het parcours. Op de foto drie gezellige dames uit Drenthe die met plezier hebben deelgenomen aan deze tocht.
