Ampithere Au

In the middle of the Amazon rain forest, twin gods known as the "Apple Twins" live on Twin peaks in caves nestled near the apex of their mountain. The two peaks are connected by vines and over grown vegetation. Each of them care for an entourage of harpys which they protect from human interests. It's said that long ago there were no Apple Twins at all, only the Apple Tree and there weren't two mountains, only one. But that's a story for another time...

First of all: What is an ampithere? - An ampithere is a winged serpent, sometimes with dragon-like features such as horns or sails.

Feathered Wings are White with Yellow Pinions, Bat Wings have Black Fingers and Teal Membranes

Purple/Black Raised scales on forehead, cheek bones and down spine.

Ink – God of Creativity Brown background (similar to Conda phase Hognose) Heart-shaped spots going down spine, each an alternating colour of the rainbow (like vials), dark brown hearts going down sides, dark brown scoots. Wing fingers are dark brown with prismatic membranes. Created by @comyet

Creator's Notes:

Unfortunately all my ampithere art ended in something I'm not satisfied with: I'll keep trying and may commission art later as my personal budget allows.

Dust and Classics birds are VERY dear to me as a West Coast Canadian, I grew up with these birds and they're sassy corvids! Pure Indulgence.

Stellars Jay is actually named after a scientist! A Whiskey Jack's other alias is the Canada Jay!

@withtheworms Inspired me on Twitter to chose Blue's bird to be the hummingbird instead of the obvious Blue Jay.

Cross is supposed to be swooping like he was in Australia chasing down a cyclist. I come from the city where the crow that steals a knife from a crime scene meme comes from. Another fun tidbit.
