I need to replay that scene but I know the jist of meeting Zevran is he tries to assassin you, you dunk his ass in the toilet, and when he wakes up he bats his eyelashes and kicks his feet and asks if you’ll murder him or not
Partha is probably. Like. The only one of my wardens who would spare him, and that’s because she would love to die. She would love for him to finish the job. She takes one look at this freak and goes “we are the same” and he’s her buddy now.
Killian, particularly young Killian at that point, would’ve heard “wanted to kill you, assassin” and that’s all she would’ve needed to know. Zevran would’ve been lucky to have gotten that far to begin with. Rat Pack Era, she’s glad she didn’t kill her husband, but man if young Killian had had the chance.
Judpha is unclear, I think it would depend on the other things going on in that situation.
Faolan would’ve been content with leaving Zevran alive, but I doubt he would’ve taken Zevran along - but he’s also entirely alone, so. With better support, Faolan probably would’ve been more empathetic.
Warden Surana and Ameira Surana? Absolutely. The underlying thing is their cold-bloodedness. Warden Surana is publicly brazen and cold-blooded, and with Cousland, Zevran wouldn’t have woken back. In the right context, Amira could’ve been convinced, but without any extra push, she would’ve blasted him off the map.

5 facts about... Amira “Surana”
My main blog @medeadea got tagged by @heraldofwho here and... well damn, how does one follow that up?? Gonna be a challenge, I am very impressed.
Sooo here’s my first ever problem child Mira, Grey Warden, Spirit Healer, Arcane Warrior (and in my favourite, accidentally spiralled AU also the Lady Inquisitor)
Her parents are Lavinia and Silvain, a couple of slaves that escaped Tevinter together with the help of a woman called Amira, who they soon named their daughter after. They chose the surname Surana randomly after crossing the border to the Free Marches, which she knows (and casts off in the Inquisition AU). Mira doesn’t know if they are still alive, as she never really has the opportunity to look for them. She just knows they never lived in the Denerim alienage because she doesn’t recognise it at all and also asked Valendrian if such a couple ever lived there. They gave her away to the templars when she showed signs of magic because they were deeply afraid of it and appalled their daughter could be one of those.
This is also the reason why she profoundly and perhaps irrationally despises blood magic. All the internalised fear and hatred for magic would’ve been enough to rip a cast out seven-year-old mage child apart, if not for the clever intervention of some of her perceptive teachers (especially Irving). They managed to direct her self-loathing onto the kind of magic only Tevinter openly uses and instill a great need to prove her own ‘goodness’ in her. Hence why she chooses to become a healer.
Thing is though: she lacks compassion. It’s just not something she feels often, and especially not when someone’s needs are far removed from her own.
However Mira is very empathetic and perceptive, and that combined with her upbringing in constant fear of people she’s helpless against (first humans, later also templars)—as well as Irving’s and the circle’s education exacerbating her natural paranoia—make her a very manipulative person.
She hates conflict because too often she has felt powerless in the face of it, so she will take every possible measure to avoid it. Smile, lie, do what her counter wants until she gets exactly what she wants. It makes her a frightening leader, but her methods don’t really inspire confidence in idealistic people like Alistair.
Because she is so conflicted in her own beliefs and morality and a naturally pessimistic person she has deep seated trust issues. There are people she already trusts, like Irving who she looks up to a lot, and her parents who she barely knows but wants to convince very much that she’s not a bad person just because she can make fire with her mind. And then there are people that she pretends to trust and, after a long time or real hardship or who continue to express her own thoughts, actually comes to trust, like Leliana, Zevran and Morrigan. Lastly there are people in whose moral code she comes to trust (because she is with all her faults still someone who wishes the world would be a better place and it needs people who are honest and care), like Alistair.
(In the Inquisition AU that would be Leliana/Bull, Sera and Dorian/Josephine)
And last a fun one because all this character and motivations talk is making me maudlin: She is really damn kinky. That unfortunately never comes into play during her Origins canon because the only one who could remotely keep up with her is Zevran, and the trust between the both of them for that kind of relationship comes way way too late (speak: weeks before her death, when they’re already fast friends).
However it made playing Inquisition and romancing Bull with her really damn fun, seeing as he can more than keep up with her kinks. There will always be things he won’t be able to get her to do (mostly obvious ones if you consider her upbringing) but she sure enjoys having the opportunity for extensive and uninterrupted sessions. I admit, that they actually ended up in love was not something I expected but it speaks volumes for her development and makes a lot of sense regarding his own tendency to pick people apart and play them like a fiddle.

Arcane Warrior related headcanons
+Due to the fact that Amira is trained as an Arcane Warrior and has imense wells of magical energy she can pick up and carry any of her warrior wardens, in full heavy armor, with apparent ease. On one notable occasion she arrived to a healer with two unconsious wardens slung over her shoulders like sacks of potatoes. Despite this she tend to prefer light or medium armor for it’s ease of movement.
+Despite the term “arcane warrior” Amira would say it would more accurate to call her an “arcane rogue.” She favors dual wielding longswords, both custom made to allow for the easy channeling of magic, and by the time Inquition takes place rarely carried a staff.
+After a few years training with swords Amira tracked down Isabela to train in the duelest style.

6. Who’s more protective?
Sine this question is short and easy to ask I will go nuts and answer for more OCs.
Dragon Age:
Elluin Lavellan and Solas: Solas is more protective. And not because he considers her weak, it’s just that Elluin likes danger and being a daredevil. He realizes she is a powerful woman who survived all this time with no one’s help, but it’s his duty as a friend and later lover to worry. Elluin saw Solas defending himself and she’s 100% sure he doesn’t need her help. Even so, she won’t hesitate to jump in front of the danger to help him.
Arissa Surana and Alistair: Arissa is the protective one mostly because she is the healer of the party and gets worried about everyone’s health. Again, while she saw Alistair in action and understands he’s a great warrior, she still gets worried all the time. Alistair is amazed of her power and won’t doubt her ability to take care of herself.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Miarid and Tristian:
At first, Tristian is the one who is more protective. Especially because everyone and everything wants her dead. After some special events happen (I wont spoiler it cuz two of my friends are playing it right now xD) Miarid gets more protective. She would do anything to protect Tristian.
Pillars of Eternity
Amira and Aloth: I think both of them are quite level headed and they won’t jump right in the face of danger. But Amira worries a bit about Aloth’ s mental state after discovering some facts about him.

The Winter Palace was a particularly exhausting night for Amira, for who Orlesian politics doesn’t come naturally. Luckily Varric was able to help her find a moment to breath.
This takes place during the pining potion of their relationship because they’re a pair of emotionally constipated idiots who think they’re not allowed to move on from their first heartbreaks. They get it together eventually, but it’s definitely a slow burn situation.
