i decided to answer this one with the Main. Mx Morgana James, Jordi Chin's cool and sexy and hot significant other because today i have an ego. and also they're one of my most fleshed out self inserts

this got super long so i'm gonna slap a readmore before it gets out of hand

2. when in canon does your self insert come in? do you have a scene in mind for your entrance?

YEAH so Morgana comes in very much pre-canon. like by the time wd1 starts, they have already been working with and living with Jordi for about 5 years. and i actually have a scene for the first time they met Jordi AND their entrance into Aiden's life!!

the scene where they meet Jordi is literally them beat to hell and back, about to pass out on the pier, soaked with lake water and rain, shivering, and just looking like shit, and Jordi takes pity on them (in his mocking way) and takes them back to his current safe house and they just... never leave. and eventually they become business partners who are actually in love but oblivious about it

the scene where they meet Aiden is like. right before the Not The Pizza Guy mission because they were goin for a walk and found Jacks run away from school for being bullied and they walk him back to school where Uncle Aiden is picking him up and is furious because his nephew is missing. Aiden and Morgana get into an argument because he's mad and they're mad at the school and then they leave, take the bus, and meet Jordi at the apartment he's taken over. and then that evening, Aiden shows up and surprise. it's not the pizza guy, AND it's the guy who saved his nephew.

3. how do the other characters generally feel about your self insert?

Aiden finds Morgana to be an annoyance, but a useful annoyance. very much the same way he ends up feeling about Jordi. which means Morgana does end up being one of Aiden's close friends years down the line!

Ray is Morgana's biological father which makes everything funnier and he loves his weird annoying child who has no self preservation and does shit just to see if they can do it. and he's tired.

Clara ADORES Morgana. she loves spending time with them, going out for coffee, just. being friends. besties even.

(in the vein of Clara, my other wd self insert Robbie who is Clara's bf, he loves Morgana too. he's the one who introduced them because he was friends w Morgana way before they ever got involved w Aiden's drama)

then as for wd2 characters:

Marcus feels similarly to Aiden tbh? like Jordi pops in and out of Marcus's life and makes it a living hell, and then one day Jordi AND his spouse, who's ALSO the legendary Ray Kenney's KID?????, shows up and is just as much of a headache as Jordi. but he likes them well enough

Wrench is curious, nosy, and intrigued. thinks Morgana is cool and weird as shit and wants to get to know them, but also part of that is to drive Marcus mad because thats Wrench uwu

ok but in Morgana's canon, they actually arrive in time to save Horatio, so Horatio loves them a lot and he and Morgana are good friends because of it.

Josh is wary BUT because of the Horatio stuff, he trusts them enough. (not enough to not mask around them, but enough.)

Sitara respects them because of the Horatio situation, but is wary like Josh. thinks they're cool BUT knows they're a hurricane in human form because 1. Jordi and 2. Ray.

5. does your self insert have any special powers or abilities?

NAH no powers. abilities i guess would be that Jordi teaches them how to snipe, and they get pretty good at it to the point where they run fixer jobs on their own. not as good as Jordi, though.

9. who are your self insert’s closest friends?

Jordi, Clara, my self insert Robbie, @hyperfixatinglove's watch dogs self insert too ofc, Horatio!

15. how does your self insert play a role in the plot of the story? do they help directly defeat the villain, support the heroes, etc.?

hmm i mean like they are Jordi's support which ends up being Aiden's support and also migraine. but while they're not directly involved w Aiden a lot of the time, they do help out here and there. more helpful than Jordi who works for the paycheck from Pearce, Morgana works for the sake of Jordi and will tag along to help Aiden w/ stuff.

they're there during By Any Means Necessary, BUT they are also incapacitated by Iraq's men during the crux of the mission, and that's sort of the support they end up being.

(they do NOT help Aiden deal w Ray Kenney, because they do not want to face their dad who also does not want to face them because family drama babey.) (they get drawn into it anyway. big blowout fight in the bunker.)

they also help Robbie save Clara before that whole disaster fiasco goes down.

no real ~plot significance~ in wd2, mainly serves as an annoyance tbh.
