To throw my hat into the ring of pixel horse econ discourse I do think SSE is EXTREMELY generous in the subscription based gaming space especially, and 100 sc/week isn't bad at all when you consider that lifetime is relatively cheap taking into account the amount of content, but I think part of the issue with sso's economy that feeds into star coin price discourse is that SCs seeming to be the only realistically usable currency for any new item in the game, due to the max Jorvik shillings cap limit only being 10k and the majority of new accessories released priced at ~9000 js per each piece in a new set. Unless you can play the long game with archaeology, SCs are pretty much the only way you can reliably buy multiple new items in a limited time frame

I know most people are approaching it from a perspective of exclusively buying horses with sc, and I agree that horses are extremely reasonably priced for the amount of work put into creating them, but since atp the Jorvik economy is so canonically fucked I guess that the mc can choose between spending a week's allowance or 99% of the maximum amount of earnable money they can carry to buy any of the 20 reskinned textures on an old item model they release per update you can kind of see how that could reflect poorly on the value of the sc in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately what's more reasonable than asking for a higher allowance imo is asking for a price decrease on mostly reskinned items that get turned out en masse with every update, as that would reposition the perceived value of the star coin into something more desirable as a premium currency to be used for high ticket items. Fewer star coins for items might also encourage people to actually spend them faster, as racking up many small charges collecting a whole set would make people less wary of spending/saving than spending 100sc on a hat does, but I'm also not an economist so ymmv
