I am forever unwilling to accept the 'Pietro manipulated Wanda into House of M and is evil because of it' narrative that has stuck in recent years. In a position where people they considered pretty much family were going to kill his twin and no one was willing to do anything to help, he tries to save her and make everyone happy at the same time. I think that Pietro is a character largely characterised by good intentions and bad execution, which is why he's so compelling. He values life and has a strong sense of justice, but consistently fails to act accordingly.
