Alicia Keys veröffentlicht neue Single „Underdog“
Musik-Ikone, Grammy-Preisträgerin und Grammy-Award-Show-Host Alicia Keys beginnt das Jahr 2020 mit einer brandneuen Single: „Underdog“ ist der Titel des Songs, den die 38-jährige New Yorkerin zusammen mit Ed Sheeran schrieb. Für die Produktion stand ihr Johnny McDaid (Ed Sheeran, P!nk) zur Seite. Das Musikvideo zu „Underdog“ entstand unter der Regie von Wendy Morgan. Einen „exclusive first look” gewährte Alicia den Zuschauern der US-TV-Show „Good Morning America”, die Premiere in ganzer Länge erfolgte bei MTV Live, MTV U und BET Soul, sowie auf den ViacomCBS Times Square Billboards in New York. Der Song ist ab sofort bei allen Streaming-und Download-Plattformen erhältlich.

„Manche Leute sind möglicherweise der Ansicht, dass ‚Underdog‘ ein negativer Begriff ist, doch für mich ist es ein kraftvolles Wort, das Menschen repräsentiert, die vielleicht unterschätzt werden, sich aber immer wieder Herausforderungen stellen und Erwartungen übertreffen“, erklärt Alicia. „Ich liebe dieses Lied so sehr, weil es um das wahre Leben, echte Menschen und unsere Erfahrungen geht. Wir waren alle in unserem Leben schon in Situationen, in denen wir Widrigkeiten meistern mussten. Es ist nie einfach. Einer meiner Lieblingstexte in dem Lied lautet: ‚They say I would never make it but I was built to break the mold’. Ich denke, dass es keinen Menschen auf diesem Planeten gibt, der sich schon einmal so gefühlt hat.“
„Underdog“ ein weiterer Vorab-Song aus ihrem kommenden, siebten Studioalbum „Alicia“, das im Frühling erscheinen wird. Zuvor waren bereits der funky Song „Time Machine“ und die erste Single „Show Me Love“, ein Duett mit Grammy-Preisträger Miguel, erschienen. Dies alles ist allerdings erst der Anfang eines aufregenden Alicia-Keys-Jahres. Am 26. Januar wird sie –nach dem großen Erfolg 2019 –zum zweiten Mal in Folge Host der Grammy Awards Show sein, die vom Fernsehsender CBS ausgestrahlt wird. Ihr Buch „More Myself“ erscheint am 31. NEW YORK, NY (January 9, 2020) -- Global music icon, 15-time GRAMMY Award winner and returning GRAMMY Awards host Alicia Keys, released her new single and visual for “Underdog” today, via RCA Records. The new song features writing credits from both Ed Sheeran and Keys and was produced by Keys and Johnny McDaid (Ed Sheeran, P!nk). The music video was directed by Wendy Morgan. GMA provided an exclusive first look at the video this morning and the full video was premiered on MTV Live, MTV U and BET Soul as well as on ViacomCBS’s Times Square billboards in NYC. The song premiered first on iHeartRadio and is currently available to purchase and stream across digital platforms here. The “Underdog” official music video is available to watch here.
“Some people may think of the word underdog as a negative word but I see it as a powerful word representing people who may be underestimated and yet still rise to the challenge and exceed expectations,” said Alicia. “I love this song so much because it’s about real life and real people and our experiences. We’ve all been in a place in our lives where we’ve had to defy the odds. It’s never easy. One of my favorite lyrics in the song is, ‘They say I would never make it but I was built to break the mold.’ I don’t think there’s a person on the planet that hasn’t felt that way.”
“Underdog” is the latest offering from ALICIA, Keys’ forthcoming seventh studio album. The previously-released songs include “Time Machine” a future funk-inspired odyssey that celebrates the liberation that comes with letting go, and the sultry and vibey first single “Show Me Love,” a duet with GRAMMY Award winning R&B star Miguel and meditation on the many ways we show love to one another. “Show Me Love” earned Keys a record-extending 11th number 1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs airplay chart. ALICIA will be released globally this spring.
This is just the beginning in what will be an exciting year for the multi hyphenate. On January 26 Keys will return as the host for the GRAMMY Awards for the second consecutive year, following her critically-praised stint in 2019. The show will air on CBS. Keys’ book More Myself will release on March 31, 2020 via Flatiron Publishing.

I have to tell you something... What Alicia did to me? I'm talking about the day when I met her.

Maybe you think that I'm crazy, OK I am but a little little bit , but this post is sincere, maybe this kind of love thing is brand new for me and I don't know how to react.
I'm glad that something like this happened to me...past years of being bullied, wrong friendships, bad influence, and so much hate from people, wasn't really easy....
I guess this is life changing experience? I'm so happy that my life is turning well, I don't take everything/everyone for granted. I Stay strong and positive and keep these memories alive.
No regrets since the day I felt in love with her 2001 Ha ! One love always !!!

Happy Tuesday Luvs,
Alicia Keys is our topic today and I iunno about yall, but I am one of, if not, her biggest fan on an all around level. I think she's beautiful and extremely talented, but on top of that she's is a great humanitarian. She is always looking for ways to help especially when it comes to children.
Tonight at 8pm she is doing a LIVE benefit from the Nokia Theatre in NYC for World's Aids Day/Keep a Child Alive. Visit her official website for details on how you can watch the concert on youtube if you cannot make it to the theatre.
Now since we are on the topic of Alicia Keys I have to share with you my fortune of seeing her last Tuesday morning on the Today Show. It was amazing. I've seen her several times in concert and I love her more every time. See photos below courtesy of Nadia J. for your viewing pleasure. She looked great in her green leather blazer, gold top, black liquid leggings and gold accessories. Her boots were very interesting, but I loved them.
She blessed us with her hits "No One, "Empire State of Mind 2" (yes she added more to her version of the song) and "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" which is my favorite new hit from her. Check the video here if you have yet to see it.
Ms Keys new album, "The Element of Freedom" will be in stores on December 15, but you can pre-order as early as today through her website on Amazon.
*Isn't the album color nice? It's a softer look for her. I dig it.
