Yay for full design ref for Dóvenyth! Added some info about her, too. Idk how much I wanna reveal yet...

Artist's ramblings under the cut.

I did want to do a more detailed ref, but I kept getting caught up on making everything look perfect and rendered, then my joints started hurting real bad, so I did what I could.

The more detailed character sheet shows her when she's fighting, which I love cuz she has an almost counter-intuitive hierarchy of which style she uses, but it makes perfect sense for her.

I also am not sure how to approach explaining her backstory. I mean! Not like there's so many people expecting anything. But I do think it fun to not really explain a lot yet. Idk if anyone else will follow, or would care about Dóvenyth. We'll see!

well, good thing: turns out that my upper wisdom teeth might not have to come out anyway because they are way up there, in my cheekbones, and to try and get them out would end up 'breaking my face' in common parlance. bottom right one's coming out on the 6th and it'll take about a week to heal, so that's good timing. definitely out of the way before crete.

i apparently have a symmetrical skull, lots of tension in the tmj area, and because i categorically refuse to be sedated i get to try a whole new benzo! i think it's trilazolam (which has a brand name of halcion, which i can only assume is someone having fun with a different spelling of halcyon, though i'm a bit confused on how we get from ἁλκυών/kingfisher to calm).

• NUMBER OF BLANKETS: a giant, singular, heavy, silk-lined fur blanket she definitely did not steal from a rich patron. she has a charmed pouch she uses to carry it around, and she loves to go out onto a field in cold weather, wrap herself in it, and sleep under the stars. that's how she grounds herself.

• RANDOM FACT: Although not as obvious with the freckles on her face, the freckles along her body are much bigger and have a sort of metallic sheen. They aren't "true" freckles.
