idk if youtube vidders feel this way, probably some bound to right? but the reason I can never get myself to put an effort in the instagram edit/vidder community is I only ever see stories and posts about how their posts ‘flop’ when they still have 3k views on their edits. They then take a break for a week or two (that’s fine if that’s need do that) and then restart the entire cycle. for the love of yourself pls don’t connect your creativity and the will to make/edit/create stuff to the reach you get on a social media platform with an algorithm (or in general I guess). Do it because you like it not because you want views and comments. Yes they are nice and can help you stay inspired or keep wanting to create, but you’re gonna end up staring blind at the numbers and just feel bad because it wasn’t as much of a hit as the one you made 3 weeks ago that got 21k.
