Fang is named Friday. He primarily uses sign language to communicate, but he can talk if he has to.

Nudge is named Dorothy (Dora for short, asked to be called that when she found out it was her real name).

Gazzy is named Gizmo.

Maya names herself Em.

Ari lives and becomes part of the flock.

Em is offered to join the flock after her fight with Max. She declines, but she does join later on.

That weird Dylan and Max were genetically made for each other plot thing does not happen. Em finds him when she makes her escape from the labs and he becomes part of the flock when she does.

The weird preachy save the word max you're the chosen one also isn't a thing here.

(Rosé is 5′9″ and her wingspan would be 15′6″)

She never struck me as the quiet and sneaky thief (maybe on purpose?) so I wanted to emphasize speed and agility for her design. I also wanted them to be pink because how could they not be?

I used hummingbirds, falcons, black-billed magpies, and scissor-tailed flycatchers for inspiration.

I knew I wanted a brown/orange color palette for her and I also fell in love with the idea of him having eyespots.

I designed some wings for Eugene from season two of Drawtectives!!

(Eugene is 5′10″ and his wingspan would be about 17′0″)

I wanted to make something that was big and flashy to tie back to his performance days, but I didn’t want it to be too bold given that his character kinda centers around death. I also wanted his wings to be a replacement for his cloak without loosing that imagery completely.

Vultures may have been the obvious choice to draw inspiration from, but that doesn’t mean it was the wrong choice. I also used ravens, parrots, and green herons.

I’m gonna be honest, I had a hard time figuring out what do do for York. He’s a prince, he’s good at killing, he’s new to the city, he’s a model... I didn’t know which aspect I wanted to focus on/emphasize. Eventually, I settled on using his color palette as a starting point and added some embellishments to spruce it up.

The philippine eagle, cedar waxwing, common eider, and juvenile australasian gannet were used for inspiration.

The protagonists, Solvesran and Lazullura. Sol moreso than Lazul.

Solvesran and Lazullura's parents.

Their siblings. Solvesran is the youngest of her sisters. Lazullura and their siblings are triplets, with Lazul also being the last born.

Their friends. Fennivra is also Sol and Lazullura's partner later in, but he was friends with Lazul first. Tisiphia is the one that built Edavyn's body and they eventually become partners as well.
