                    The nicknames are inspired by Colress’ appearance and his specialties. Since both of them are mischievous, I imagine that they would build a close connection, at least, one where both feel that they can be their realest around the other.

Angel - either going by its own or accompanied by ‘ring’, Colress’ blue strand brings to mind the ring above an angels head, the halo

Genius - His high intelligence to build devices in his own right, Guzma doesn’t doubt that between the two, Colress’ head is more reliable

Gringo - Colress’ pale appearance, a slang term used by latinos, not inherently derogative, and neither does Guzma intend it to be

Mister Scientist - Similar to ‘Genius’, except that this would come to be because of his attire and the gadgets that surround him.

Sky - Inspired by Colress’ palette --his blue strand, white coat, and yellow hair-- are colors that the sky holds (blue skies, white clouds, yellow sun.)
