Ok friend, I gotta bone to pick with you. Respectfully of course.

Now I ain't much of an 18+ reader, not really my gig ya know. I ain't too comfortable with it, so you're probably asking then why are you reading it?

Well friend, let me tell you. Because it makes me think. Your stories specifically. Many a times I've had to put my phone down and I've been caught by my roommates with the most intense look on my face.

My friend once said that something is considered art if it makes you feel something, anything, whether good or bad. And let me tell ya Miss Cleric, you've certainly got me feeling somethings.

You certainly have a gift with words as well as speed (like dang sis how you write so fast so much?!) and you use them most expertly, and to that I tip my hat at you.

I hope that you take care of yourself and remember that you are valued and appreciated just as you are ok honey? You don't have to do anything to work or earn love. You are worth loving and experiencing simply by existing mkay? 🧡🙌🏼

Also, if and only if you're feeling up for it just because I need some closure, can we get a part 2 of the recent Rise Raph snippet? I really wanna see how Raph responds when he finds out what happens and how it goes down when Y/N gets out of surgery. Like I would love to see the recovery trauma of having to talk to someone close to you, even when it wasn't necessarily their fault

Or I’d love to see your twist on using hypnotism, but if and only if you’re feeling up to it. If not and if this is too forward then I totally understand.

I don't feel like I write very much or very fast tbh 😅 took me about a week to write I Know Now, for example, which wasn't even a full 3K. But uh. Being obsessed with the turtles and getting ideas that I really like does help a lot I won't lie lol

I'm trying my best to take care of myself! Not always succeeding but trying at least! You're so sweet 🥺🥺🥺 thank you. And this is true for you as well!! We're all worthy of love 💕 even when it doesn't feel like it. (Pounding this into my own head)

Ahhh Raphie boy. I really put him and reader through it. I would like to maybe write a second part, but if I do, it won't be for a while. It's such a hard topic, and it took me hours upon hours to write part one. It is on my mind though, to write a part two. When I get the time, energy, motivation, etc. And oh my GOD. Hypnotism........... Donnie recording Hypno's power and figuring out how to tweak that and use it in the bedroom... or even some kind of dead dove fic involving hypnotism... oh I would love to tackle that... [stares at my current pile of WIPs and winces] at some point...

Side bar- When did I become the type of person who has multiple WIPs??? I can't believe this. [Points at turtle fam] This is all YOUR fault!! /j /lh

Door's unlocked. How's the patient?

Tired and sore, mostly. Starving, but then again so am I. I think he's actually too tired to insist he's fine. He even let me help him out of the car and almost fell asleep on my shoulder waiting at the pharmacy.

Prescriptions? I ordered pizza, should be here just after you guys get back.

"Hi Buck," Steve says when he and Tony get back from Medical. His voice sounds tired and thin, no doubt worn out from whatever this latest mission entailed, and his cheeks are pale beneath three day's worth of stubble. But even though he's definitely sick, coming down with the same kind of late fall-early winter cold he always gets this time of year, Steve looks undeniably happy to be home.

Bucky doesn't reply so much as nuzzle a kiss into the soft scruff of Steve's cheek, smiling fondly when Steve pulls away to scrub at his face. It's rare he lets the beard grow these days, but Bucky's always liked it.

"Hi to you, too," Bucky says to Tony, turning around and drawing Tony in for a long, tight hug. He knows it's part fo the job, but he hates when they both leave for these extended missions. He hates not knowing what's happening, and wondering if they'll both make it home all in one piece, and...

He presses his face into the crook of Tony's neck and lets himself breathe deeply for a long minute before pulling back and taking in Tony's tired, fond expression.

"Missed me?" Tony grins.

"Missed you both," Bucky doesn't hesitate to admit. "Glad you're back, relatively intact," he says, looking over at Steve. He'd wasted no time parking himself on the couch, his head tipped back to rest against the cushions. He looks like he could fall asleep just like that, if he hasn't already.

"We're okay, Buck," Steve mumbles, not opening his eyes. "Tired," he adds.

Bucky smiles, dropping onto the couch beside Steve. "Yeah, I see that." He reaches up and strokes the hair back from Steve's forehead, feeling for any signs of a fever, but smiles when Steve leans into the touch, turning so Bucky's cupping his cheek in his palm.

"Glad to be home," Steve says, then turns away and yawns, which sets him off on a coughing fit.

"Shit," Bucky says under his breath. "How bad are you feeling, doll?"

Steve shrugs at first, then shakes his head. "Mostly just wiped. Feels like I'm probably getting a cold, though. My throat's killing me, and this cough..." He lays a hand over his chest and grimaces.

Tony sits on Steve's other side, and covers Steve's hand with his own. "Well, me and our friends down in the med bay made sure we're well-prepared," he says, pointing to the bag he'd set on the floor. "Cold medicine and your inhaler and tissues, and—"

"Y'know you don't have to buy out a pharmacy every time he gets sick?" Bucky asks.

"Why not? I'm helping the economy, Buck," Tony explains smoothly. "Plus, he wasn't complaining for once, so I took it upon myself to ensure he wants for nothing this weekend, since we'll be spending the majority of it right... here." Tony lets his head rest against Steve's shoulder.

"Helping the economy," Bucky repeats, shaking his head, even as he smiles.

Steve opens his eyes and looks at Tony. "Think you'll be sick next after letting me sleep on you on the Quinjet. And in Med... and now," he says apologetically.

"He definitely will be," Bucky agrees. Because really, it happened almost every time, without fail. Tony fussed over Steve, wouldn't leave his side the entire time he was sick, only to end up catching whatever super soldier mega germ Steve had a week later.

Beside him, Steve sniffles, and rubs at his nose with his index finger. If he's sniffling now, Bucky knows he'll be sneezing in little fits of two and three in a few hours, and completely down with a cold by the morning.

At least he's home, though, where Bucky knows he'll be okay, knows he and Tony can make sure he gets all the sleep and water and blankets he needs to feel better and let the serum do its thing.

For now, though, Bucky enjoys the warm press of Steve's body, warm and sleepy beside him. "Hey," Bucky says, nudging Steve's shoulder. "Don't fall asleep. Pizza first, then cold medicine, then sleep."

Steve opens an eye, clearing his throat and wincing before nodding. "Vince's?"

"Of course," Bucky says. It's their favorite, and Bucky likes to have it waiting for them when they get back from missions like this one, a nice way to welcome them home.

"Really did miss you, Buck," Steve says softly. He's extra affectionate after time away, and even more so when he's sick, and Bucky can't help but enjoy it.

"Missed my pizza ordering skills," he teases, then presses a kiss to the corner of Steve's mouth.

"All of it." Steve yawns again, and Bucky looks over at Tony, who looks equally exhausted and content to be home, and smiles when he catches his eye.

"All of it," Tony agrees.
