The Black Dahlia Murder Live Preview: 9/3, Concord Music Hall, Chicago

On their 9th studio album Verminous (Metal Blade), The Black Dahlia Murder continue to do what they do best, show off their versatility in performance and metal subgenre. Produced by their guitarist/backup vocalist Brandon Ellis, it was released just after COVID hit last year, and tonight, they play their first tour date since the pandemic at Concord Music Hall in Chicago. The album’s title track opens with--what else--Alan Cassidy’s blast beats as Ellis and guitarist Brian Eschbach add choppy riffs and cascading solos, Trevor Strnad’s alternating icy screams and guttural growls guiding the song along. Overall, they combine technical tempo changes with the fast-paced bombast of old school British metal. The galloping guitars and drums on “Removal of the Oaken Stake” recall Iron Maiden (on the day a new IM album comes out!), while a song like “Child of Night” sports drums and Max Lavelle’s bass so quick it’s almost pure noise. And where vocal chants follow the same pattern as the guitars, as on “Sunless Empire”, there’s still roam for soaring solos. The penultimate track is a 40-second acoustic interlude, gorgeous picking combined with sounds of dripping water and squeaking rodents before the band launches into closer “Dawn of Rats”. It’s the most different song on the record, but it exemplifies the band’s ability to seamlessly combine the beautiful with the ugly.

El camarón o gamba, celebra su Día Mundial cada 21 de diciembre, época en la que dicho crustáceo es muy demandado en las mesas por las festividades navideñas. Por tal motivo, es bueno que en tus redes sociales de los influencers gastronómicos se maneje contenido referente a este animalito, sean fotos de platos, recetas, vídeos culinarios, etc., no te será nada difícil atraer a los foodies con tantas opciones deliciosas que se pueden hacer con él.

En diciembre celebramos el Día Mundial del Camarón (Gamba), específicamente el 21, en plenas festividades navideñas. Crustáceo tradicional de la época por su alta demanda en las mesas a nivel mundial. Ingrediente saludable por su aporte de proteínas, omega-3 y pocas grasas saturadas.

ACCIDENTADO DUELO

Bravos y Cimarrones empatan a dos en accidentado partido correspondiente a la jornada 12 del Torneo Apertura 2017 de la Liga Ascenso Bancomer MX, en cotejo llevado a cabo en el estadio olímpico Benito Juárez de esta frontera

El Conjunto del FC Juárez sumó 22 puntos y se mantiene en el segundo lugar de la tabla general del Ascenso Bancomer MX tras empatar a 2 goles con el equipo de los Cimarrones de Sonora en duelo correspondiente a la jornada 12 del Torneo Apertura 2017, en un partido marcado por las inconsistencias arbitrales que fueron señaladas por el D.T del conjunto fronterizo Miguel de Jesús Fuentes.

Fuentes, manifestó al final del encuentro que “A Lucas Xavier lo lastimaron y no pasó nada ni siquiera una tarjeta amarilla, se esperaba un equipo de Cimarrones así que arriesgara bastante y también su movilidad lo que nos complicó por momentos, en cuanto a la lesión de Lucas se va a levantar un acta de lo que paso, ya que se pierde un jugador muy importante al equipo y también por lo manifestado por el árbitro central Saúl Silva al momento del reclamo de los jugadores de Bravos por la falta a Lucas Xavier este manifestó que “iba a marcar hasta que estuviera muerto”.

La jugada donde resulta lesionado Lucas Xavier es al minuto 12’ en una jugada donde Lucas Xavier trata de hacerse del balón junto con un jugador de Cimarrones ambos chocan y Lucas Xavier cae mal lesionándose el hombro derecho lo que lo deja fuera del encuentro y fuera de toda actividad por lo menos un mes más, el árbitro no marco ninguna falta.

Bravos abrió el marcador al minuto 20’ por conducto de Leandro Carrijo que cobra un penal tras una falta cometida a Mario Ortiz por parte de Johan Vázquez,

El encuentro se tornaba dinámico para ambas escuadras con llegadas y al minuto 41’ vendría el gol del empate por conducto de Rai Villa en un error de la defensa que deja el balón a la deriva lo que es aprovechado por el jugador para empate.

Para la segunda mitad al minuto 47’ gol de Carrijo en error del portero que deja el balón tras un choque con un jugador de Bravos y aprovecha el capitán para peinar el esférico y anotar, para el 2 a 1.

Al minuto 67’ Magrao en una jugada muy futbolera burlo a toda la defensa de Cimarrones para entrar de lleno al área y dispar al portero Espinoza que le cerró bien el ángulo y mando el balón fuera de la cancha.

Vendría el gol del empate para Cimarrones al minuto 86’ por conducto de Jesús Lara en una jugada polémica ya que Iván Vázquez reclamo una falta después de rechazar un disparo el balón caminaba lentamente hacia el marco de Bravos y por atrás llega un jugador de Cimarrones que empuja a Vázquez lo que le impide hacerse del esférico y entra la anotación, Iván Vázquez reclama, pero el árbitro decreta valido el gol.
