AITA for threatening to break a guy's arm if he didn't give up the mound?

First off, I don't think I'm in the wrong here. I'm only asking because my teammate found out and got really angry.

So basically when I was in middle school I was the catcher for our baseball team. And the pitcher, M, was. My god honestly I cannot describe to you how annoying this idiot was. First off, he's the grandson of the principal, and he OBVIOUSLY gets special treatment. The coach is super buddy buddy with him. M, like I said, is super duper annoying. He doesn't respond when you talk to him and he's super jumpy and honestly I don't think he's very smart. When you ask him questions he either just stares at you or starts panicking and jumping around. It's so annoying.

But the most annoying thing about him is that he SUCKS at baseball. And he's our pitcher! Our ace pitcher! And he refuses to step down from the mound and let anyone else pitch??? Even though we HAVE a better pitcher who is actually GOOD and can pitch faster than like. 100 km/h. It's ridiculous.

As the starting catcher, I'm the one who basically has to babysit him all the time, which is super frustrating. I'd much rather catch for our other pitcher, and I've been staying after practice to work with him on his fork ball (HE HAS A FORKBALL. M HAS NOTHING) Which is exhausting for both of us. M has also caused us to lose basically every single game we've played, even the practice ones, because his speed is just. So bad. And he has no pitch variety. Our school is supposed to be good at baseball, but M has single-handedly brought us down a bracket.

So I've been asking M if he'd consider stepping down from the mound, or even just letting our other pitcher K play in a game sometime. Or even practice. But M refuses. And the coach of course backs him up, because his grandfather's the principal.

So I sort of snapped. And I told M that if he wasn't gonna voluntarily step down from the mound, maybe I should just break his arm.

Except he STILL didn't step down, so I just stopped engaging and accepted that my middle school baseball career was dead. My only solace was that M wasn't going to go to the elevator high school with the rest of us. He even move prefectures, apparently. Everyone (AND I MEAN EVERYONE) on the team was super relieved that he was finally gone, because it meant we could actually win games now.

Except K found out somehow and now he's super pissed at me. I mean I knew he and M were childhood friends or something, but I did it for him! He got ZERO play time when M was still around, even though he was obviously the superior player! And it's not like I actually broke his arm. I never even touched him.

So AITA? I know I'm not
