I’m just throwing this out into the wind, but I believe that Prince Apollo isn’t even in the fey realm at all right now.

Timeline Observation

The Goblin Court and The Unseelie Court have a fierce battle. The outcome is victorious to The Goblin Court.

Due to the victory of the battle a marriage engagement is to be set between Viscountess Grabalba of The Goblin Court and and Prince Apollo of The Court of Wonder.

This gives the Goblin Court a HUGE benefit as well as Captain K.P. Hob hard work being recognized through the Courts.

The date of the engagement ceremony is comes, when all of a sudden the plug is pulled.

Now the Goblin Court is upset, especially the Viscountess ( who was genuinely looked sad like she wanted this with the flower petals being burned) and Captian Hob’s who doesn’t get what he wants.

Hob has names of who might be behind the cancelation of the engagement and has started his investigation, under the guise of a chaperone to Lord Blemish and Lady Boil, of what happens behind the scenes at this Bloom.

Gwyndolin Thistle-hop of the Court of Wonder has joined the Bloom for the first time.

She has “received” her letter to the party rather than her better known sister The Blue Fairy.

Rue doesn’t recognize Gwyndolin and finds it strange that she is here instead of her sister.

“Gwyndolin” is revealed, to the audience, of actually being a different fey.

Hob is aware that “Gwyndolin” is not who she really is, due to hanging out in a tree during the hunt.

Episode 3 we find out that her name is really by the name of Binx Choppley the last survivor of The Court of Craft.

Binx disguised as Gwyndolin, writes a letter to Gwyndolin who is in the mortal realm.

Even though she is playing Gwyndolin she “finds her rituals as strange”

but what’s is interesting the most when writing is that she mentions “…it will all be worth it. Love and magic are always worth it”

Analysis/Inference

It hasn’t been specified of what happened to Prince Apollo after the non engagement ceremony.

Grabalba is seen in the first episode, but we haven’t yet “met” Apollo.

Is he attending the bloom? Being a Prince you would surely be there. Especially if it is within your Court.

Rue was notified that all of the guests had arrived. If so, why hasn’t he come out and appeared in public to this event?

Gwyndolin is in the human realm for what reason?

Binx was given consent to use Gwyndolin’s face at the Bloom. But why does Gwyndolin have to be there?

Most likely this is both an infiltration as well as an alibi for the two. Binx gets to find out and create a mess during the event all the while “Gwyndolin” is present in public.

Conclusion

Both Prince Apollo and Gwyndolin Thistle-Hop are not in attendance to the Bloom, but are actually in the mortal realm. Most likely eloped.

I believe that what happen was that Gwyn and Apollo were likely paramours to each other, but then Apollo is told that he is to be engaged to The Viscountess. Both don’t want that happening so they plan to leave together. Gwyndolin employs the help of Binx (could be shell palls like Andhera). When the time of the engagement hits, Apollo “disappears” and the whole Court tries to cover it up his disappearance with ending the agreed arrangement between courts.

Next they had to get Gwyndolin out as well, so as to not cause suspicion onto them. Binx takes the place of Gwyndolin, so that the two can leave Scott-free.

As payment for getting the two out, Gwyndolin must have had connection to the mail carriers to get Binx into the Bloom to mess with the Courts. Being as she is the survivor of her Court, her being there means that she wants to start beef with the other realms who did her dirty.

A three way win it seems between Gwyn, Apollo, and Binx. But, with Captain Hobs investigation I want to believe that he will find out, expose, and find justice to his Court.

Here’s me praying that the Courts decide to use Hob and Rue as the Engagement between courts. This way everyone is happy.

the differences between aabria, matt, and brennan in their approach to letting their players interact with their worlds have been haunting me

because matt and brennan will create a world that is so rich and vibrant, with lush descriptions and magical world building that makes it seem so lived in and of course people are there even though they don’t take the time to describe them

but aabria makes her games filed with people, with so many varying personalities that make it seem so so so real that they instead populate the landscape. which is then reinforcing everything the NPCs are doing in her games. there are people first and then the world which revolves around them. it’s why when her NPCs have actual reactions to the players (Wuvvy in ACOFAF, Teedles/Oliver at the beginning of Burrow’s End and Sybil discovering the secrets with them, even Boudicca at the end of MisMag), it makes everything so much more fucking compelling

i don't want or need a sequel at all, in fact, i feel like they nailed the ending even with the time crunch. i feel like it is a wonderful, grand closed book and i don't want them to try to pull, like, a 20 episode arc out of what is a beautiful complete story

however i WOULD take an epilogue that is just the Pack of Pixies doing the RueHob wedding and whatever blissful chaos THAT would entail. i'd take a one or two shot of that, for sure

tbh the thing i really like about d20 is the players reacting when something happens. like every time something fun happened in acofaf and everyone would just be like mouth agape or screaming or whatever, it just made it so much more fun to watch. live lou reactions are always the best ones too. like the fig and ayda confession scene was good on its own, but just keeping your eyes on lou the whole time makes it 20x better. he is just losing his absolute shit the entire time
