Top 10 F:NV Side Quests/Unmarked Quests You Don't Want To Miss
These are specifically quests that I think are particularly entertaining, offer unique role-playing opportunities, and/or provide interesting insights into the game's npcs—and which I think are pretty easy to miss. For that reason, I haven't included any companion quests or some of the more prominent side quests.
1. The White Wash - Discover why the NCR sharecroppers aren't getting their full allotment of water and what happened to Corporal White. My recommendation: bring Arcade.
2. Silus Treatment - Help Lieutenant Boyd at Camp McCarran in her interrogation of Silus, a Legion Centurion. My recommendation: do this with Speech 50 or Intelligence 8.
3. Someone to Watch Over Me - Help Crandon keep North Vegas Square safe from squatters/Greasers; discover what happened to Alice Hostetler and advise her with regard to her family problems.
4. Aba Daba Honeymoon - Help Diane and Jack of the Great Khans with their chem trade. You can learn the special unarmed move, Khan Trick, by completing this quest.
5. Why Can't We Be Friends? - Either facilitate an alliance between Samuel Cooke and the Powder Gangers of Vault 19 and the Great Khans, or destroy the caves for Philip Lem and convince him to either join the Khans or turn himself and the Powder Gangers in to the NCR.
6. I Fought the Law - Help Eddie deal with some problems the Powder Gangers have had since taking the NCRCF.
7. A Final Plan for Esteban - Retrieve Esteban's body from the Fiends for his widow, Private Morales, who is stuck at Camp McCarran. My recommendation: speak to the NCR troopers stationed nearby the Fiend base before and after retrieving the bodies.
8. Malleable Mini Boomer Minds - Make friends with the kids at Nellis. My recommendation: bring a rocket souvenir or dino toy (distinct from a dinky souvenir).
9. Rotface's Loose Lips - Get the hot goss from Rotface in Freeside. My recommendation: talk to him at least 30 times so you don't miss anything juicy.
10. Thought for the Day - Have your fortune told by the Forecaster beneath the 188 Trading Post.

the khans are the purveyors my favorite quest aba daba honeymoon. i just love talking to jack and diane and the quest is i dont know buggy? in a way i find super funny. the fact you can kill every single fiend in vault 3 besides motor runner and still successfully complete it as long as you give him the drugs is hilarious. the fact that the quest reward after completion is them teaching you to throw sand in a way that it gets through helmets and sunglasses into peoples eyes is just chefs kiss
ITS KINDA REALLY GOOD also the way it just gets stuck in your quest log forever if you don't pass the science requirements to teach Jack new chems and i just gaze at it loveingly or like the way that you wont actually gain any reputation if you talk to diane without talking off the khan disguise and sometimes it resets your repuation with the khans all together
ALSO ANDERS LIKE. IN GERENAL?
I love Anders so much next to Regis and McMurphy hes like one of the most underappreciated Khans i love how he'll just walk home after getting crucified and always beat you back there. and also how you cant fucking save him unless youve started the quest and but you can still talk to him and his voice-acting is actually pretty good when hes distraught at you leaving him behind. and how he calls Jack a "soft touch" for worrying about him. and sometimes when you stand near him while hes on the cross he'll just start generic khan idle dialogue
MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT ANDERS ACTUALLY. this motherfucker was just swimming around with a bag full of drugs and the Legion fucking fished his ass out and was like "what the fuck are you doing" khans will be like "we're opening new markets" and throw one guy into a lake and tell him to swim ig

Thinking about Cave being able to do things in your quests
If you take him with you on The Coyotes he doesn't necessarily help the investigation, but when you finish reading the ledger he immediately walks off and kills Dermot and Saint James with his bare hands.
You can also take him on Silus treatment and he'll tell you a little more about his time in legion slavery, possibly Silus was the one who enslaved him, and you can let him interrogate him.
To lighten things up you can have him help you with High Times and Aba Daba Honeymoon. You can have him look at Dixon's jet and he'll tell you it's some dog shit stuff, like super watered down, did he just take some Khan Chems and make them shittier? After you scare Dixon off he'll be able to tell you the fixer, psycho buffout trick.
Depending on where you are in his questline he'll make you pay him to teach you/Jack new chem recipes, you might have to pass a speech check if you did his unmarked quest but it'll be possible, if you did his personal quest he'll do it completely free of charge.

While the followers teaching the Great Khans to create medicine is a bit sus, after giving it some thought I can guess what their goal was before NCR/House came. The Khans being the strongest in the region and semi-nomadic meant that they weren't gonna just start farming, but they could easily collect the plants and creature glands needed for chemistry. If communities like Westside produced clean food and water and the Khans gave protection and medicine in exchange, both groups would benefit.
this has been in my ask box a while and I definitely beginning to agree! Westside and the Khans are already kinda allies in the game! since the Fiend leader is trying to make the Fiends leave Westside alone to avoid pissing off the Khans who do business there! They’re like halfway there lmao and I wouldn’t be surprised if Westside was one of the few places left who’d still want to trade/be allowed to trade with the Khans since they can’t raid anymore
I’ve also had a different thought in the same line that could probably work together:
Pre-Bittersprings, the Khans had a sizeable population of infirm. People who were old or sick and perhaps unable to look after themselves.
It’s not that the Khans are a particularly sickly bunch, but they certainly don’t push away or punish those of them who are sick like the Legion or other more traditional raider gangs would (like yknow. The og Khans or the New Khans)
After Aba Daba Honeymoon, Anders, the Khan who was crucified by the Legion, is unable to walk like he used to and it’s implied by the game that he’s going to be disabled for the rest of his life, and maybe he’s going to have chronic pain as well due to his injuries. But the Khans keep him, he’s not banished or shunned. He hangs around camp, not forced to return to work, and his line of work is incredibly important for the Khans, so the fact that he’s seemingly not pushed at All but still allowed to stay is pretty impressive, considering how things work for us these days.
I think it’s actually a lot more reasonable when you think about it like that. Teaching a group who are already doing their best to provide for people who are sick or hurting, and teaching them how to make morphine and penicillin because well, they can look after their people a lot better with those.
However I do think it was a little misguided how quick they were to shun the Khans and blame them entirely for turning to drugs as a way of income, after giving them the tools to do so. Like I said, it’s well documented the relationship between drugs and people in poverty.
Though like i’ve also said before, it’s probably the writers fault for not realising that. Realistically, I feel like the Followers probably would have taken that into account
