Бренд A.P.C. трудно упрекнуть в компромиссах с массовыми мимолётными трендами. Как правило, они делают базовые вещи, которые переходят из сезона в сезон. В этом свете выпуск этими ребятами обуви, которая условно попадает в тренд «уродливых» кроссовок, несомненно примечателен в культурологическом плане. Волшебники ритейла сравнивают этот релиз с первым появлением на подиуме кроссовок от Prada в 1996ом. Крупные масс-медиа говорят о том, что французский бренд вдохновился беговыми кроссовками 80-ых или пытается оседлать тренд «батиных» кроссовок (лично я считаю это лучшим переводом термина «dad sneakers»).

Предлагаю оставить вопросы позиционирования продукта маркетологам и историкам моды. А я сегодня пригласил давнего читателя этого блога, энтузиаста современного menswear - Тимофея Огурцова, чтобы он поделился впечатлениями от своей пары кроссовок.

Да, это мой первый обзор на какой-либо продукт из индустрии моды, но лот попался не абы какой, а именно те самые долгожданные и многими обсуждаемые кроссовки от A.P.C. Оговорюсь, что кроссовки у бренда Жана Туиту были, но все это были плоды сотрудничества с Nike, а сейчас это первые самостоятельно выпущенные сникеры. Заказывал я их с ITK KIT, с вычетом VAT и промокодом на 20% скидки, что получилось выгодно: при своей цене в 235 евро достались они мне за 12 с небольшим тысяч рублей. Сделаны кроссовки в Китае, но так ли это критично по нынешним временам, когда там отшивает свою обувь даже японский бренд Visvim.

Первое, что произвело на меня впечатление – это упаковка. Очень приятный на ощупь, глянцевый, плотный картон. Минималистичный дизайн, надпись A.P.C SNEAKERS по кругу, и логотип с тем же содержанием на крышке. Выглядит круто.

Я брал 41 размер (аналоги на язычке: 26,93 см/ US 8.5/ UK 7.5). Сидят кроссовки честно, по ноге- «true to size». Сразу бросается в глаза переливающийся на солнце верх сникеров, а все потому что язычок, и почти все остальные детали выполнены из рефлективного материала - фанаты техно-вечеринок (примечание SH: и любители ночных прогулок по федеральным трассам), берите на заметку. Кстати, те самые язычки украшены брендингом A.P.C, что выглядит совсем не пошло, а довольно эстетично.

Шнурки круглые, выполнены в белом цвете с серыми вставками, напоминающими камуфляжный рисунок или пиксельную графику в компьютерных играх 80-х. Вместо вшитых люверсов, шнурки держатся на накладных пластиковых колечках, отчего эта часть кроссовка напоминает ботинки для хайкинга.

Так же кроссовки отделаны замшевым�� элементами по периметру, серого цвета. Замша качественная, немного грубая, думаю выдержит многие приключения. Подошва двухслойная: средний слой белого цвета, а самый нижний – черного. В центральной части резиновой подошвы выбит логотип A.P.C. С амортизацией у них все в порядке, нога не устает, не натирает. Возможно, благодаря сетчатому материалу внутри.

В задней части кроссовка из под замшевого материала выглядывают тканевые петли для обувания, на которых тоже есть наименование бренда.

Весят кроссовки не очень много, но и не сильно мало: на вскидку от 800 граммов до килограмма. Думаю можно сравнить, к примеру, с Nike Air Max 97. Очень красиво смотрятся на ноге, сразу же встали в мой личный топ по удобству. Как поведут себя со временем – пока не знаю. Посмотрим, что будет дальше, но оговорюсь, что покупал я их как обувь не на каждый день, поэтому агрессивной носки, пинания мяча в поле и прыжков с парашютом эти кроссовки не познают.

MR PORTER Sale is Now Up to 60% Off and Actually Feels Kinda Manageable

MR PORTER kicked off their massive spring/summer sale a couple weeks ago, and have now made their first round of further discounts, adding more merchandise to the sale and further reducing price to as low as 60% off.

I’ve previously written about how the scale of the sale makes it overwhelming to sort through. And although the current iteration includes over 7,000 products (down from 13,000 when the sale went live—sorry, guys) from hundreds of designers, to me it somehow feels more manageable than in past years.

A helpful change at this point of the sale is the addition of two new pages.

New to Sale merchandise is from a pretty short list of designers (Acne, Berluti, Brunello Cucinelli, Dunhill, Jacquemus, MR P., Nike, and Serapian).

Further Reductions, including the merchandise that’s now up to 60% off, features a much longer and more interesting list. Here are a bunch of my favorites:

Albam - London casual staples.

Alex Mill - American casual staples (is there a theme here?) Founded by Alex Drexler (son of famed J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler) and J. Crew/Madewell design director Somsack Sikhounmuong.

AMI Paris - More Parisian casual staples.

Aspesi - Italian label best known for their outerwear. I like this navy cotton A-1 bomber jacket.

Baracuta - I’m liking the classic G9 Harrington jackets made up in alternative fabrics like suede and wool tweed

Barena - Laidback Italian tailoring.

Bigi - Handcrafted Milanese ties, often with interesting textures.

Blue Blue Japan - everything is blue (they’re known for their use of indigo dyes) and it’s designed and made in Japan, so the name is apropos. I love the texture and detailing on this shirt jacket. All sizes are still available, a rarity this late in Mr. Porter’s sale.

Boglioli - Unstructured Italian tailoring. My Boglioli cotton jacket has been a casual spring/summer staple for nearly a decade.

Brooks England - English cycling accessories, including some lovely leather backpacks.

Caruso - My favorite ready-to-wear Italian tailoring brand.

APC x KiD Cudi is the novelty of this Spring / Summer 2019 collection. A collaboration between the American artist Kid Cudi and the French label APC long awaited since last year. But how can a collection be possible?

First of all, as APC creator Jean Touitou recalls , “I always wanted to ask people outside for their visions of our work, and I remembered my mother’s advice: ask someone ‘a to taste.’ the Parisian brand likes to work with artists, the latest rapper is none other than Kanye West.

Kid Cudi: The Cleveland Kid

This is how the rapper from Cleveland was chosen for this collaboration. Recently back on the scene with Kanye West’s Kids See Ghosts album with visuals by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami . The Kid has found passion and artistic motivation . He announces this collaboration very modestly during an interview : “I have this small collaboration that I do with the French brand APC will be released soon”.

A Subtle Mix

It was not chosen at random as said Jean Touitou “When I saw Scott (his real name) for the first time, I immediately understood that it would be possible to work well with him […] ]. Between the extreme dignity and sobriety of his appearance, the surprising presence of a rose on his right hand […] »It was enough for him to be the ideal candidate, bringing his quirky side and passion to the brand. But the factor that decided Mr Touitou is the shadow part of this character.

Beautiful Madness

The theme of this collection between APC and Kid Cudi was inspired by “Fire” , one of the songs of Kanye and Kid Cudi, they evoke their failures in life and the people who judge them for it. Instead of worrying about it, they choose to use it as a source of motivation, as J.Touitou claims. “The words heard in one of his songs” Fire “then reasoned in me. These words are “Beautiful Madness”. We can go, I said to myself, he’s part of the club. “

[ad_1] In the late 1990s, the skateboarder Jason Dill started taking photographs. Lots of them. He brought disposable cameras and the occasional point-and-shoot with him nearly everywhere he went, documenting his life in film like many do with smartphones today. “It’s just what you did,” he recalled recently. If you didn’t, he said, those pre-social media moments would be lost forever.And Dill’s life provided an exceptionally colorful array of moments to capture, even by the standards of a reckless and prolific pro skateboarder. A hard-charging phenom from Huntington Beach, Dill landed in New York in 1998, where he quickly established himself as one of the city’s most exciting and stylish young skaters. (His closing part on the 2000 Alien Workshop video “Photosynthesis” is an enduring classic.) At the time, skateboarding was changing from a parochial pursuit centered mostly around contests into a global emblem of cool that crossed over into a changing fashion world. Dill, who started wearing Helmut Lang and A.P.C. when most skaters still favored enormous shorts and monster truck-sized sneakers, was at the center of it all. Skating took him to far-flung destinations like Paris, Tokyo, and Johannesburg, often for months at a time. Back in NYC, he fell in with the Supreme skate team, and also rolled with IRAK, the now-legendary graffiti crew made up of era-defining artists like Dash Snow. He soon became deeply embedded in downtown New York’s booming party scene. “That’s what I really liked—becoming close with and becoming friends with people who didn’t skateboard at all,” he said. “We were all very alive at the time.”The cover of Jason Dill's new monograph. The hedonism of the post-9/11 decade almost took Dill down, but when he resurfaced in Los Angeles in 2011, he was skating again—and turning his nascent clothing label, Fucking Awesome, into a fully-fledged skate company. #HandsomeGirl: 新世代型格女生指南

「Handsome」一詞，意指英俊，本是用作形容男生容貌俊秀和擁有不凡的魅力��不過在這個男女平等，講求 Feminism 的年代，為何連一個詞語也要講求性別？新生代的女生都是有個性和主見的一群，而這群擁有個人態度的女生正正就是 Handsome Girl。

所謂的性別定型是指社會文化中對不同性別的主流刻板印象，對兩性抱有著不同的期望。在以前的社會中，男性作為家庭的核心，主要對外，而女性則主內，除了在社會角色的層面有所分別外，這也使兩性在服飾與穿搭上有所不同。當時女性要穿馬甲與束腹，褲子是男性的專屬單品，也是女性的一大禁忌。不過，在這百多年間，大家的社會觀念也隨著時間有所改變，摒棄規範、打破社會禁忌之後，服飾已漸漸退去兩性的枷鎖，也因而出現「genderless」、「unisex」、「androgynous」這些概念。今天的 handsome girl 其實是這樣演變出來的。

曾幾何時，Handsome 一詞只屬於男性，但隨著男女性別界線逐漸模糊，大家不再執著 Handsome 到底是男是女，總之有型俐落，人人皆有權高呼 Handsome 之名。然而將 Handsome 放到女性身上，除了大家所以為必需具備的短髮或稍為俊俏的五官外，也可以不同穿搭方式塑造一股獨特的假小子氣質 —— 穿戴不一定以褲裝為主，裙款也可以穿出獨特少年味，最重要是如何利用衣物剪裁及用色突出「假小子」形象。

Oversized 裙款搭配：
