MAN, Trouble in Paradise (1932) is really good…

i cannot believe that THIS of all films was the one i was lucky enough to stumble into ~18 months ago… how fortunate am i?

#it’s SO good it’s unreal #i haven’t rewatched it in ages - that was aggressively necessary #i watched another (currently more famous) film for the first time earlier and it was. so bad. #the direction was shit. the characters were shit. the acting was like. fine i guess?? #but they didn’t give the actors much to work with #and then you watch Trouble in Paradise and it’s like ohhhhhhhhh yes #this is how movies are SUPPOSED to make you feel #a film that trusts its audience to have an attention span longer than a goldfish… what a breath of fresh fucking air! #i missed it so much - now that i’ve paraded To Be or Not To Be around everywhere - Trouble in Paradise is next
