It’s about motherfucking time SZA dropped Shirt. Dropping the snippet two years ago just to release it now with the album no where in sight is fucking crazy. TDE on their bullshit again, but whatever.
Armani Caesar started off her album saying, “All up on my clit, just kiss it.” She was definitely talking to the eaters. The munch’s.
Jeezy & DJ Drama is an undefeated duo. Snowfall is the best album Jeezy has dropped since Trap or Die 3 in 2016? You can tell the motivation musically is there again with Jeezy, despite retiring at one point and being way more focused on his business ventures outside of music.
Busta Rhymes was in his bag when he made What’s It’s Gonna Be?! I don’t know how to describe it. But the way he constructed his verses, the amazing production, it’s almost as if he knew this was going to be not only a huge hit but one of the greatest songs ever. Granted, it’s a given when you’re working with a prime Janet Jackson. But I don’t know why these thoughts is hittin’ me now.
One of the things I found very useful about my university STEM education is getting it hammered into me repeatedly that no model perfectly matches reality. They just can’t. The better question is whether it’s useful.
Is this a situation where you get a better understanding if you use Brønsted-Lowry acids and bases, or do we need to break out the Lewis acids and bases? Sure, the biological species concept is useful a lot of the time, but can we use it here? Do fish, in the model we are using, exist? (Do we want fish to exist?)
I think this is a useful way of thinking to apply to less scientific, and more societal things? What is a ‘slur?’ Well, there are a bunch of reasonable definitions. Which is more useful for understanding this situation? Let’s try on a bunch of models of what a ‘state’ is like fashionable hat to see which is most useful. Long Live the American Empire Boogie!
