The cranial cavity is a limited space. There is a relationship between the position of any structure in the brain and the space of the brain, which can be determined by using the principle of analytic geometric coordinate system. The Cartesian coordinate system is based on the Cartesian principle. Three mutually perpendicular planes are set in the cranial cavity. The x y and z axes of the horizontal, coronal, and sagittal planes intersect at one point. The coordinates of the y and z axes are established; the polar coordinate system is also called the spherical coordinate system, which takes the center of the orientation instrument as the center of the sphere, and any point on the surface of the sphere can be determined by the radius of the sphere and the two angles between the vertical plane and the horizontal plane.
Stereotaxic surgery is a surgical procedure, which can be said to be a minimally invasive method. Basically, drilling a hole about 1 cm in diameter in the head can effectively relieve the disease. There are very strict surgical indications and operating specifications for this kind of surgery. The doctor must judge whether the patient is suitable for this kind of surgical treatment according to the actual situation. The general principle is to fix the head frame by placing the head frame in advance, and determine the center according to four or three points on the head frame. Then, the puncture method is adopted to directly reach the location of the brain lesion, so as to effectively find and remove the lesion. It can be used for needle aspiration of cerebral hemorrhage or needle biopsy of brain tumors.
