😨 FEARFUL was answered! i'll do 👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?

if we're talking about the family she lives with, it consist of one person: bà ngoai, her maternal grandmother. they're pretty tight-knit although generally very quiet, you can tell these two would sacrifice a lot for each other ( although that doesn't necessarily mean their intentions translated well ). a lot of ba ngoai's affections tends to take the form of action rather than words, which for a child can be confusing to understand, especially since ba ngoai already very quiet to begin with. nevertheless mana knows ba ngoai does have good intentions and still visits her frequently with her boyfriend in tow <3

as for siblings, she has three younger half-siblings- one half-sister and two half brothers on her father’s side. she doesn’t want anything to do with any of them but especially not her father.

🍟 FRIES - do they order food often? or they prefer to cook their own food?

does it cost more money to order food or make it? she normally cooks her own food since it’s more practical that way. that being said, she’s a decent enough cook- not that great, but if she needed to, she can make her own meals. this just comes from a. having lived with her grandma her entire life and once she moves out to b. living with calum, her boyfriend, who enjoys cooking a lot more than her.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don’t want to show other people?

her vulnerable side which usually makes it way out whenever she’s around her a*buser, mister dinh. she shuts down real quickly in those moments, but also she dislikes it when people are around when her stomach is acting up, which is typically something that happens when the former situation is occurring. she dislikes the attention it draws but also the concern that it garners regardless of whether it is well-intentioned; she’s not the kind to readily accept help from strangers :/

🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?

subtle exclusion/subtle insults. that was something she put up with a lot in college seeing that she wasn’t exactly the nicest person....and considering that she already had to read between the lines when it came to her grandmother, she refuses to extend that privilege to anyone else ( daniel and calum being the exceptions ). basically if you’re going to insult her or any of her loved ones, she’s going to ask you repeat it and louder for everyone to hear 🙃

🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worse thing your oc could hear from someone?

any variation from a loved one of “we don’t want/need you.” 🙃 this really just stems from her fear of abandonment...so hearing this would just confirm that about herself.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

eeeeep so lena, here’s where i tell you that mana started out as a self-insert of sorts and then over the years she grew into her own distinct person sjdkflsjdlf but i would say despite that the one thing that stayed the same even before her storyline with calum was created is that she was a normal girl. no prophecies, no special powers, no destinies tied to her- she was supposed to be a very normal person who through her own choices becomes a hero.

she likes used books more than new books. mostly because they’re more affordable but also because she doesn’t mind reading the annotations on the pages- it gives the book more personality in her opinion!
