"FOR YEARS THE CATWOMAN FOUND HER CRIMINAL EFFORTS OPPOSED BY THE BATMAN AND ROBIN..."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on character bio & pin-up art of Golden Age Catwoman, a.k.a., Earth 1 Catwoman, from "Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe Vol.1 #4. June, 1985. DC Comics. Artwork by the late, great Dave Stevens (1955-2008).
POWERS & WEAPONS: "While the Catwoman possessed no true super-powers, she was an Olympic-level athlete and a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant. Her arsenal of cat-inspired weapons included her high-powered Kitty-car, her Cat-plane, Cat-boat, and most importantly, her Cat-o'-nine-tails, a multi-tipped bullwhip of which she was an expert. Despite her long career of crime, the Catwoman never committed murder, a fact of which she was justly proud."

"...THE PLANT MASTER, A.K.A., THE FLORONIC MAN... HAS MANY OF THE POWERS OF A PLANT ELEMENTAL..."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on pin-up art and biographical info on the Floronic Man, a.k.a., "Floro," DC supervillain and plant elemental, from "Who's Who in the DC Universe" Vol. 1 #6. January, 1991. DC Comics. Artwork by Mark Pacella & Anthony Tollin (colors).
POWERS & WEAPONS: "Floro has many of the powers of a plant elemental, including the ability to regenerate lost limbs (although he has never tried to regenerate another body), the power to cause plant life to grow at remarkable speeds and to control it, and the ability to communicate with vegetation.
He professes to be able to summon elements from his native dimension to do his bidding, but this claim results solely on whether his past statements of origin are true or not. A formidable creature, Floro is not as powerful as Swamp Thing, but his unpredictability makes him a dangerous foe."

"SHE WAS RECRUITED BY THE MYSTERIOUS UNCLE SAM TO JOIN HIS FREEDOM FIGHTERS IN BATTLING THE AXIS POWERS..."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on character bio & pin-up art of Sandra Knight as the original Phantom Lady, from "Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe" Vol. 1 #18, August 1986. Artwork by the late, great Dave Stevens (1955-2008).
POWERS & WEAPONS: "The Phantom Lady is an Olympic-level athlete and a brilliant hand-to-hand combatant. She has remained young over the decades, perhaps due to the mystical presence of Uncle Sam. She once gained the power to become intangible, but may have since lost it. The Phantom Lady can use her black light ray to project darkness or to make herself invisible. Her special glasses allow her to see in the darkness she creates."

MINI-OVERVIEW: "From humble beginnings grew one of the more lasting super-villain teams, the Royal Flush Gang. A youth gang composed of four boys and a girl, they thought they'd be inseparable. When one of the gang became the criminal mastermind Amos Fortune, he outfitted his friends as the Royal Flush Gang, a team that brandished weapons that took advantage of the energy called "stellaration," which affected people's behavior. The Royal Flush Gang caused the original Justice League of America quite a bit of trouble."

BEFORE NAMORITA PRENTISS, BEFORE KAYMAERA, THERE WAS DOLPHIN.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on character/pin-up art & bio information on the undersea heroine Dolphin, from "Who's Who in the DC Universe" Vol. 1 #6. January, 1991. DC Comics. Artwork by Steve Bove & Keith Wilson, colors by Anthony Tollin.
Resolution from largest to smallest: 2048x1417, 1024x729, & 755x1023.
INTERESTING/DOLPHIN FACT: "Dolphin's eyes are also unique, the iris and pupil appear to be reversed, which seems to relate to her ability to see underwater. Dolphin's aging process was slowed by alien science, a child at the end of World War II, she appears no older than 25 today."

"AN OLYMPIC-LEVEL SWIMMER WITH NO REAL KNOWLEDGE OF HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT..."
PIC(S) INFO: Part 2 of 2 -- Spotlight on pin-up and/or character art of the underwater-breathing superheroine, Dolphin, page 6 of "Who's Who in the DC Universe" Vol. 1 #7. September, 1985. Artwork by the late, great Dave Stevens (1955-2008), another legend lost.
Resolution at 900x1377 & 736x1165.
POWERS & WEAPONS: "An Olympic-level swimmer with no real knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, Dolphin is able to remain underwater indefinitely, survive the crushing pressures of the deep, and swim with a speed far outstripping that of the sleek, undersea mammal for which she is named. Whether Dolphin is the last survivor of some forgotten undersea race, the result of some forbidden experiment, an alien stranded on Earth, or something else entirely is unknown as of this writing and the subject of great speculation."

PIC(S) INFO: Part 1 of 2 -- Mega-spotlight on pin-up and/or character art of the underwater-breathing superheroine, Dolphin, from the pages of "Who's Who in the DC Universe" Vol. 1 #7 (page 6). September, 1985. Artwork by the late, great Dave Stevens (1955-2008).
MINI-BIO: "When two U.S. Navy frogmen, C.P.O. Chris Landau and Seamen 1st class Ben Harkey, investigated the sunken wreck of the vintage ship U.S.S. Arabesque, they discovered a beautiful young woman living within, obviously able to survive underwater without drowning. Brought aboard their own ship by Chris and Ben, the young woman was found to have gill-like slits in her neck and slight webbing in between her fingers and toes. Chris would later call her "Dolphin.""
