At the doctor now for my appointment and it’s literally $125 just to see the doctor lmaooo (don’t have insurance and can’t enroll til the market opens up. what a great time for a cancer scare!)

I have the biggest headache too idk why and I took ibuprofen but it’s not working so I think it’s just stress or something?? But anyway, the lady at the desk said even after all this, I’ll still have to get a primary doctor so I’m just gonna get one here since they do primary as well as urgent.

Only thing I’m worried about is the doctor referring me out for a mammogram and idk if I have the money for that right now because I have zero idea how much a mammo costs without insurance ajdhjafdj tried googling but there’s too many different answers so I guess I’ll ask then when they see me 🙃

Man I am having so much fun

In an effort to not buy a new laptop when this one really started becoming unusable (we hit 15 minutes of distance between opening the clamshell and getting onto my zoom calls), I wiped it and installed a lightweight Linux distro called Zorin, and in the week since I've been like, figuring it out and whatnot.

I've always kinda felt like I missed the boat on being like, A Real Millenial or smth as a teenager because I never really got into doing stuff with computers or websites or whatnot. Like, I've been online since I was 11 or 12, but I wasn't out here making gifs or AMVs or my own computers or whatnot. And now I am?? I mean, barely, this is explicitly designed to be Linux so easy to use Italian school systems are using it en masse, but I'm futzing around in the terminal and learning about different formats and googling around forums for advice.

The biggest challenge is the webcam drivers, which I now know I should have expected, and I've found some and the install instructions aren't quite working, but I'm like, figuring out certain steps, and I feel like I have good questions about how to do what I think needs to happen, and fun isn't exactly the right word, but I feel like I'm on a Quest to become a Real Boy and like, make my computer do stuff and I *love* it. I've always wanted to be an eccentric techie and it turns out the only thing I needed to do was... just fucking go for it.

#also i have a lot of feelings about foss (free and open source software i have recently learned) and the gift economy #especially like #in contrast to watching twitter and ftx and everything burn #the nutters who built this circus in the first place are still around and they are answering randoms' questions on forums #and i want to be one of those nutters!! #it is actually legit never too late!! #i love learning new thingsssss i love jumping in the deep end i love raising the stakes i love solving problemsssss #zorin

I wonder how I should characterize M (no name cuz I don't want y'all to know who I'm talking about). I'm quite sure she's fucked up in the mind cuz of her... extended underworld stay, but fucked up in what way and how much, that is the question.

It isn't completely comparable to "person spends a year in a cave alone" or "prison solitary confinement", cuz M is fighting monsters while she's down there. She won't be suffering from the lack of physical activity that comes with the former two.

omg ive been having so many dream within a dream type of dreams lately and they scare me stupid all the tiiiime. i thought i had woken and immediately taken an lsd tab i had in my pocket for some reason which then duplicated itself in my mouth and immediately regreted it and also a double dose would send me spiraling. then the dream continuned being a weird trippy nightmare and when i woke up forreal i had to stare at myself in the mirror for like 10 mins to make sure i wasnt trapped in some delusion
