The Well-Mannered Beast
  Why is it, so many dogs are more well-mannered than their owners? A Poignant Story
It’s pouring rain. I’m soaked having no umbrella grateful that it’s at least not too cold.  As I turn on Third Avenue for home, there’s a man of color in a wheelchair missing a foot parked in the middle of the avenue. Nose rings for starters. They look to me like silver snots gracing one’s nose.
