Not going to lie, there's a small part of me that's really worried that Papyrus is not going to be Sans' brother in Deltarune?

Because in Undertale, when he talks about him he says "my brother, papyrus", actually using his name.

But in Deltarune he only refers to him as "my brother" and does not use his name.

We have assumed he means Papyrus but how would we know? We don't know Sans (wink) so how would we know his brother's name.

This will probably not happen, I'm sure, it's just a thought that haunts me.

Hey! Here's a sneak-peek at one of my future AUs! It's called Broken Fate: Trousled Bones. (no, it's not a fontcest AU)

Basically, the Monsters are on the Surface again, have been for a few years, and Sans died two years ago.

Papyrus, who loved his brother AS A BROTHER! THIS IS NOT A FONTCEST AU!, is very sad. Despite this, he keeps his usual personality in public.

When he's alone, however, Papyrus is quiet. Sad, depressed.

His room now only contains his bed (normal bed frame, not race car), his nightstand, and his closet. And a lamp. nothing else.

There was nothing unusual about a skeleton and an animatronic panda at a diner, Funfred opting to stare at a plate of cake and a strawberry and vanilla milkshake.

Finally finished dr chapter 1 (I think I actually played it to completion when it first came out but I absolutely do not remember it correctly) and if it wasn’t for Real Life and having to Do Things I’d play chapter 2 right away it’s so good aaaaaaaaa

With Snowing a hop skip and a jump from this location , the brunette has taken liberty to chase after that four-legged thief after it’d taken one of her stim toys .  This place is a Wonderland of forest , and with the creature blending into it’s surroundings it’ll be even harder to find where it ran off to . She’d followed the tracks all up until this point , where they seemed to disappear .

What if Papyrus is not in deltarune because he belongs to Undertale, and Sans to Deltarune? they are still related, they just got separated for a while. Maybe the trousling of bones is just his theme song playing.

If not, I agree with the "Papyrus is anxious in deltarune" theory, after all, he says "slightly bonetrousled" when he's worried about you, maybe the trousling (idek if i'm spelling that right lol) of bones is a way of saying he's stressed. Maybe the thing that made Papyrus act confident in undertale didn't happen in deltarune, my headcanon is that Pap was very anxious in the past so it works for me.

Sometimes I like to think that he's just too busy searching the last piece of a puzzle when you knock on the door and that's why he's bonetrousled, nothing else XD
