Imagine being one of the prisoners on floor 2. Business as usual, new guy. But then someone recognizes the new guy, and at first you’re confused and don’t realize the implications. Nobody does.

But then they point out, hey; This guy’s supposed to have been freed! Why’s he still here?! And you all look to the ‘new’ guy. And there’s just a look of resigned dread. The guards beside him widen their eyes in horror because they’ve messed up.

And then it dawns on you; They’ve been shuffling prisoners around none the wiser all this time. Nobody gets out. And then there’s the disbelief, the despair; And of course the outrage, because if nobody is leaving, then what can they take from you?! What else is left!?

And suddenly you’re raging and screaming and rioting and you don’t CARE if you all die, they’re not crazy enough to kill you all and so what if they do, better dead than this! They can’t get away with this; You’re yelling at the top of your lungs because the other floors have to know too, they have to know the truth and not fall for it either, it’s a sham and we have to stop it and-

Death.

...All everyone else notices is some sort of commotion on a level never before seen, and then a power outage; And suddenly alarms as the imperials are still panicking, just in a new way this time. As it dawns on them: All of the loss, all of the cover up, you have to move QUICK and shut ALL rumor, you’ve never had to deal with it on this scale before, and if word gets out then your heads are on pikes too if they all rebel. Everyone is scared and uncertain and don’t know what to do, they’re unlucky to still be alive, unlike those dead prisoners.
