#There's not much to say aside from El being confused but amused by the presence of Team Skull

Hello I am back with more lore questions about your comics if u wanna answer 👀 (I looked back, but couldn't find this mentioned so sorry if I just missed it 😅)
I was curious since the comic starts after all the main plot stuff has happened: we know El is the Champ of the Alola League, but did she also do the island challenge trials like in the game or was she just traveling around with Hau while he did his? If she did do the trials did you make up a reason why the kahunas would let her, despite being well over the age limit for it? If she didn't was there some other motivation for her building her team up enough that she could beat the league when it was finished?
We're basically playing out the original story of SM with some changes!
Tumblr media
Originally El just wanted a FUCKING VACATION and came from Hoenn after receiving a letter from her mom, to come to Alola and help her move into their newly bought appartement. But then Kukui busted through the door to welcome them and El's mom insisted on her coming with Kukui to get to know the locals while she'd continue setting up the place in the meantime. El didn't have any of her old Pokemon with her, as she heard of the strict laws of letting "invasive species" into Alola and she didn't want to deal with the paperwork, especially since she assumed she'd only stay in Alola for 2-3 weeks at best. Kukui showed her the way to Iki Town, talked about their customs, wanted to introduce her to the island Kahuna. When they couldn't find him, Kukui suggested he might be up Mahalo Trail, but stays behind in case Hala might come back from Hauoli City instead. El checks it out, she meets Lillie, the saving-Nebby-scene plays out where Tapu Koko rescues Nebby and El, El unexpectedly receives the sparkling stone from Tapu Koko that Hala makes a Z-Ring out of. Due to the incident, Hala encourages El to partake in one of Alolas oldest traditions as a way to get accustomed to Alolas culture but also to welcome her into it and keep an eye on her, with Halas and Kukuis interest being sparked by the appearance of their deity. The fact that she's way over the age of regular trial goers is not a problem, Tapu Koko must have given her that stone for a reason so Hala simply follows the will of the Tapus and is interested to see how El's journey will play out.
El feels honored being so welcomed by the Kahuna himself and is also too polite to decline partaking in the island challenge, even though she wasn't really interested in going on anther journey and building a new team of Pokemon...wasn't this supposed to be a vacation aside from helping out her mom??
But her mother is surprisingly supportive of El going on the island challenge, as she feared strangers like them from Kalos might have a hard time fitting in and making friends with the locals. She's okay with El not being able to help out setting up the house, as in her opinion "You're doing your part by learning everything you can about the region and getting to know our new neighbors."
After getting to know Hau the next day during a Festival in Iki Town, El starts to feel more like Hala specifically put them together so someone would keep an eye on Hau while the old Kahuna is unable to. Babysitting it is then. GREAT. But the innocent sweet little sunshine that is our Malasada Boy QUICKLY grows on El and she takes looking after him VERY SERIOUSLY and becomes the Mom-friend of the group. She downright enjoys looking after the shy Lillie and the joyful Hau while getting to see so many of Alolas amazing sights. She also greatly enjoys Kukuis company I might add...
Until she finds out he's taken. FUCK. GODDAMNIT. OF COURSE HE FUCKING IS AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG "No Hau I'm not depressed. No I don't act strangely hostile towards Burnet what are you talking about nooooooo pass me the Malasada Hau. EW. It's BITTER. WHY'D THEY SELL THAT. I HATE IT HERE"
Don't worry, she recovers... El really starts to get into the challenge after a while. She was never a fan of challenging Gyms and greatly enjoys the different Trials she gets to go on instead. Alola quickly becomes her favorite region for the lush beautiful nature, the incredibly kind people and the Pokemon she meets along the way. Her team is unbalanced, but that's what makes her grow more closely together with her Pokemon than any previous team she had before. Beating trainers is a challenge due to the many bug-and flying-types on her team, she has to strategize more than ever before to make it work and be able to defeat the Kahunas. Her Oricorio Sweets would become her Partner Pokemon in the end, when she survived multiple hits from Kukuis Incineroar, holding on to 1 HP multiple times because of how determined the little bird was and how much she loved her trainer, defeating Incineroar in the end.
Tumblr media
(This was my OG Team, only Sweets and my Golisopod Titan made it into the comics in the end, her Decidueye and Vikavolt are on Mohn's Pelago, Fletchinder I'd actually still like to include at some point)
El didn't expect to stay in Alola. She didn't expect to build a new team or even join the League or becoming CHAMPION of all things... Let's be real, Kukui didn't really give her much of a choice in joining. After Hau and El finished their island challenge, it was more of a "might as well join the League I just finished building" from the Professor, since before it was built, the final challenge WOULD have taken place on Mount Lanakila anyway. But what surprised El the most, was the fact that, after winning, she was offered the position of Champion by Kukui at all. IF she would have won, she thought, surely they'd not let a stranger like her actually keep the title and defend it. But NOPE. All hail Alolas first champion El I suppose. And with this, it was clear that El had to extend her stay in the region. For an...unforseeable time.

In a heartbeat | Part 2
Billy Hargrove x reader
A/n: I forgot that they weren’t in school during this, timeline isn’t the same as the show’s.
Pt. 1
-`ღ´-
As you drove you couldn’t help but take a look at your rear view mirror, making sure that Billy was there. Each time you did, you saw him driving rather close to you. It was as if he was scared he wouldn’t keep up. You couldn’t help but wonder if you wanted him to keep following you or loose his patience and drive away.
You were getting anxious by the second, wondering if this was a bad idea. Steve will be there as well as the kids, you weren’t sure if you were setting Billy in a death trap without meaning to. Not even music could help distract you from those thoughts. As much as you reminded yourself that with your superpowers and El’s nothing could go wrong, there was part of you that doubted that.
No sooner did the Byers’ house came to view, you could see Hopper’s and Steve’s car parked. With a shaky breath you parked your car and got out, during one of the curves Billy ended up falling behind. As you closed the door you heard the front door of the house open. Glancing up you could see Steve waiting for you to walk inside. When you stayed put he gave you a questioning look.
“I’m waiting for someone.” You told him as you placed your hands inside the pocket of your jacket. A slight breeze had picked up.
Before he had the chance to open his mouth, Susan’s car came to view causing Steve to grow even more confused. He didn’t recognize it but as soon as Billy got out of the car Steve felt his stomach drop. You on the other hand, were relieved to know he didn’t ditch you.
“Y/n what is- hold on…” he steeped forward with an accusing finger pointing towards you. “You totally went behind my back.”
Scoffing you glared at him “uh, no I didn’t.”
He was standing a few feet away from you, he crossed his arms as he spoke “uh, yeah, you did. When you called me for advice.”
Billy was amused at the way you spoke to Steve, it seems as if he truly lost his throne. “If I remember correctly, you told me that you were late because your car wouldn’t start.” Said Billy as he walked forward in order to join the conversation.
“Yeah that was true but before that happened, I called Jonathan and he said I should meet up with Billy.” All you wanted was to get this over with and tell everyone inside that your lives were at stake.
Without giving either one a chance to respond you stepped away and headed over to the door. When you didn’t hear their steps following you, you turned with an exasperated look. It seemed to be enough to get both of them moving. Now with your back turned towards them, you could hear them bickering under their breath and some feet shuffling on the dirt. They really acted like kids.
When you turned the door knob, the voices from inside could be heard now. No doubt were they having some sort of discussion about who knows what. As you opened the door and walked in, the commotion didn’t stop but you didn’t mind. You stood near the doors entrance waiting for Steve and Billy to walk through in order to tell everyone what’s going on.
Once the presence of Billy was known, there was a heavy tension lingering around in the room. Eventually all eyes went from Billy to Max, thinking that maybe she was in trouble for lying about her whereabouts.
Clearing your throat you stepped in the middle of the room, “I called Jonathan and told him to gather you all here today because Billy…” turning your head towards him, he took that as his signal to walk over to you. “He has something to say.”
You debated about joining the rest and sitting down but ultimately, you stayed standing next to Billy. There was a large audience in front of him and the story that he was about to share, wasn’t the easiest. The most you could offer him is moral support.
He told the story just like he did back at the diner, when he mentioned someone coming to his rescue, and how aside from it being dark that person looked like you. Some mouths opened as if to prove him right but you were quick enough to give them a glare for them to get the memo.
As he finished everyone looked frightened but didn’t say anything. This caused Billy to start getting frustrated. You had told him that by going with you, he will get answers but it seems as if nobody wants to share their thoughts. He was feeling like his younger self all over again, whenever he would lay awake at night wondering why his mom left him. As well as why his dad hates him, nobody ever gave him any answers.
“How about, we all take turns telling Billy what happened last time.” Your voice broke him out of his and everyone else’s thoughts. “I did tell him he will get some answers if he came here.”
Billy’s heart flutter at the last sentence, not in a romantic way but in a way that made him feel as if he mattered. That his feelings mattered, of course he still had to maintain his bad boy reputation and wouldn’t be able to voice those thoughts to anyone.
“Okay, sweetie, I think it would be best if you took a seat.” Joyce was the first from the group to respond and aside from getting a few disagreements. She offered her seat to him.
Will was the first to get up, he got a few weird looks from the rest of the party but he ignored them. Now wasn’t the time to be assholes, even if they didn’t like it, Billy will now be part of the group.
Once Will started talking the rest of the party started adding more details to the story. If he hadn’t experienced any of it, Billy would’ve thought they were all lying to him. El looked too young to be that powerful but he couldn’t sit there and pretend to know everything when he didn’t.
Next, Hopper and Joyce told him more about the tunnels as well as Hawkins lab. Due to them spending a large amount of time there. Billy still couldn’t wrap the information on his head, how could a small town like Hawkins go through all this in a short amount of time?
As they both finished, Steve, Jonathan, Nancy and you were the last to speak. Nancy spoke about Barb’s disappearance and how all four of you fought demodogs. Everyone tried their best to not mention your powers. Even though they weren’t sure why you wanted to keep them hidden from Billy. If you were being honest, you weren’t sure why either. Maybe because they aren’t as strong as El’s or because you liked to pretend to be normal like the rest.
Once everyone was done, Billy stayed sitting with his elbows on his knees while his knuckles were underneath his chin. Nobody knew what to do or say, all they could do was watch and wait for a reaction. “So if Eleven closed the gate but it’s open again…” he started as he leaned back on the couch. “How do we get rid of the Mind frayer…”
“Mind flayer.” Mike and Dustin corrected him, earning a glare from Billy.
“Right, mind flayer, how do we get rid of it?” He asked.
“We’ll have to go to the place where this all happened.” Nancy spoke getting ready to walk out the door and attempt to end this once more.
Everyone decided that it would be best to get some sort of weapons in order to help El, and you, fight this monster. After the small meeting that you had called was over, Billy went over with Hop to pick up his car that got towed and was in the mechanics. Now ready for him to pick up. The smile he let out when Hopper told him, was the first genuine one you saw from him. He was so relieved to have his only source of freedom back.
Summer break had just began and as much as they hated having to fight monsters. They knew it had to be done. You drove Max, Lucas and Mike to their houses in order to pack any supplies they have that they will need for the mission. As much as Dustin wanted to share with everyone all the cool things he did while being out at camp. He knew he had to save those stories for later.
The plan was simple, you would go and talk with their parents and say they will be having a sleep over at your house. The first one was Mrs. Wheeler, who didn’t have any problem with this but when she took a look at your car and noticed Max. There was a weird expression on her face, it was almost as if she was embarrassed, you just weren’t sure why.
Next up was the Sinclair household, to your dismay Erica was the one who opened the door. You always thought that you were a good liar but it seemed as if the 10 year old is able to see right through you.
“So let me get this straight…” she said as she held the door open wide enough for her to fit but not wide enough for Lucas to go in. “You’re having a sleepover and y/n, is in charge of you all?” Her question was meant towards Lucas but you answered for him.
“Yeah that’s right, I’m in charge of them. But, so is Nancy, Jonathan and Steve. It’ll be fun.” You said hoping she will be content with your answer and let Lucas in.
“Mhm, and if it’ll be so fun. Why aren’t I invited?” She asked as she crossed her arms.
You leaned down until you were at her eye level. “If you let Lucas in, I promise that next time I’ll do something fun with you. We could go to mall and bother Steve and Robin.” It seemed as if she was still unsure as she kept her neutral face pointed at you. “Or… I could let you drive my car.”
That last option earned you a light shove from Lucas but you ignored him. You kept your gaze fixated on Erica who was studying your face. After a while of you two almost having a staring contest, she sighed deeply.
“Fine, as long as you buy me as much ice cream as I want from Scoops Ahoy.” She didn’t need to hear a verbal response from you as it was more of an order than request. You had the feeling that you wouldn’t have any money at the end of summer but that didn’t matter now.
Dustin’s mom was the sweetest of all the moms and it didn’t take much convincing for her to accept. You felt bad that she wouldn’t spend enough time with Dustin since he was gone for a month. But you’re sure that he will make it up to her.
Luckily for everyone Max’s mom and Neil weren’t home which made her stop the easiest out of all. You never met them but you know enough based on what Max has told you. You had a feeling that there was more to say about her life, you just hoped it isn’t anything bad.

Rune Master
Once the El Search Party parted away from the ruins of the ancient capital for their next destination, everything was starting to look blue. It gave the Rune Master a headache to how everything down to the soil had traces of cyan, the color of toothpaste and hurt his eyes. Due to the influence of the El, it was difficult to tell if night time came because the forest glowed regardless of what time of the day it was. He was going to lose Richter at this rate because the trees were the same shade as the priest’s hair.
The El’s presence attracted monsters and anyone else that wanted it for personal gain, including the corrupted monsters that were once Henir’s followers. Their numbers ever-growing, it felt wrong to leave them to the El Masters despite being told it to. Running away from the enemies didn’t sit well for Rune, but half of his friends wanted to visit the demon realm. For different reasons, but at least they had a common interest, which was all that mattered because it was better than sitting around and waiting to see what the enemies next objective would be. At least until they figured out how to reach Demon Realm.
“What is this?” Abysser asked. The demon squinted at the strange device, plated in black material similar to the Henir monsters they fought in Elrianode. Blue light flickered through the minuscule windows covering its sides and shone as his teammate tinkered with its coding. “This machine you claim to work...”
“Of course it will,” A man in white didn’t look up from his machines, his gaze glued to holographic screens that never seemed to run out of power. Legs crossed, Dominator kept his balance sitting on Dynamo and hummed as he worked. “I figured out the basis of how it functions. All we need now are new coordinates.”
“That’s great!” Rune was impressed by to how quick his friends were in utilizing the little material they had in Elrianode. Rubbing his hands together, he grinned, “See? That didn’t take long!”
“Who are you trying to convince?” A woman dressed in purple kicked her shoes for ruffled frills to shimmer under the night sky. Oz watched her breaths evaporate into the cold air and ran her hand through her hair with an exaggerated sigh, “You’re the one rushing to leave.”
Rune’s cheeks flushed to the same shade of red as his hair, glancing down and avoiding looking at Oz, who was definitely snickering over his embarrassment. What did the Oz Sorcerer know about what went through his mind? The El may have increased his powers, but being close to a powerful energy source left static in the air that made Rune self-aware of his powers and feared setting something ablaze if he wasn’t careful. He huffed and maturely stuck out his tongue at the dark mage before turning his head to look at the device in Dominator’s hand.
“How does this work?” Flame scratched the back of her neck, “Say it again for some of us to understand.”
“It was once connected to the Heart of Henir and will take us straight to the Demon Realm,” Dominator wasn’t fazed by the Flame Lord’s uncertainty. One could say he was beaming on the concept of potential interdimensional traveling, too eager on the new discovery to be bothered by small questions. He chuckled, “No need to thank me.”
Flame had her knuckles placed under her chin for support, a thoughtful expression on her face. Rune could see the wires turning as his sister processed the new information and accepted the explanation with a nod.
“And this will transport all of us?” Blade asked.
“Where is this sudden skepticism coming from?” Dominator looked up from the screens to see the mercenary gingerly tapping the surface with his Nasod arm. “Are you doubting my perfect plan?”
“Last machine,” the Furious Blade deadpanned. “Bugs.” (1)
“You remembered that?” Dominator covered his mouth, but Rune could hear the amusement in his voice. “Anyway, that’s in the past. Things will be different this time.”
“What machine?” Rune asked. How come Blade got to tinker with Dominator’s inventions while he was pushed out for ‘messing with important data’ when he tried to break into the scientist’s lab? He leaned over to see numbers and letters running across Dominator’s screen, too quickly for anyone aside from the scientist to understand them.
“It was supposed to kill mosqui-”
“If it could transport enough monsters to fight us, it can handle a dozen of us.” Fatal Phantom said with nervous laughter. “How long will it be until it’s done setting up?”
“As soon as you all stop talking and let me work.” Dominator complained, but the effect was lost in a smile as if pleased by the sudden attention by his teammates. Scanning over the screens for last-minute adjustments, he mumbled to himself, “What else?”
“Elsword,” a male voice called. “There you are.”
“Ain!” Rune spun to see a blue-haired man in white robes with a somber expression. Spreading his arms in a gestural hug, he exclaimed, “I was starting to think I lost you back there with the Elrianode monsters!”
“You remembered me,” Richter blinked, as if the celestial couldn’t believe it.
“Of course I do,” Rune frowned at his friend’s statement, confused to why that surprised the priest.
Richter has been bringing up that topic more lately - memories, missions, whether or not he would be remembered. He thought after near corruption from Henir and apologizing to Timoria in Elrianode, Richter would be more at peace with himself. Quiet as ever, Richter didn’t express it, but his eyes crinkled to Rune wrapped his arms around his friend into a tight hug to let him know the redhead was there for him.
A pair of mechanical wings came into view from Rune’s peripheral vision, drawing his attention to see Code: Ultimate with Moby and Remy. Arms to her side, the Nasod queen’s forehead was framed by a black helmet matching with the rest of her armor, wings folded in to make space for Rune to approach his teammate. Cold and stoic, her face betrayed little as the knight searched for answers to why Ultimate looked so stern.
“Heya, Eve.” Rune chirped and let go of Richter. “Are you here to remind me about something?”
“Yes,” Ultimate said. Side eying Dominator, who was still mumbling numbers to himself, she placed a hand over Rune’s shoulder and nodded to Richter. “If you mind, we need to talk. Away from everyone.”
“Both of you?” Rune was flabbergasted when she ushered him to the side, closer to the edge of the woods where the party chose as their new resting area. His hands growing warm at thought of what could have nudged Ultimate and Richter to team up. “What is it?”
It must be serious if they confronted him on an individual basis, was it about Demon Realm? But why Ultimate too? She had no reason to be affected by demons, but it was Richter that worried Rune. The priest was surprisingly impulsive around demons as evident when he lost control in Feita and disappeared. Richter retained his composure since then, but after what happened between him and Timoria last week…
“The El has been temporarily restored because of your interference.” Light flickered in her eyes, but Ultimate blinked and it was gone, “It’s stable for now, but there isn’t much time for us to find a new source before that it becomes unstable again. When entering the Demon Realm, it’s best that you let us take care of the demons.”
“Huh?” Rune tilted his head to the side.
“Consult us,” Richter said. “Think before you act.”
Rune opened his mouth in protest, “If this is because of Solace.”
“It’s because you do things without telling us first,” Ultimate snapped. “You discarded yourself without considering the consequences or how the rest of the group would respond. I won’t hesitate in fighting if you fail to reassess yourself next time.”
Spears drew out from Ultimate, long blades emerging from her back and pointing at Rune to make her point. He snapped his mouth shut at first sign of anger from the Nasod queen, grumbling as he did so, feeling Richter’s daggers drilled into the back of his head.
“You wouldn’t hurt me, would you Eve?” Rune gave her the best puppy eyes he could make, searching for hints of joking or sarcasm from Ultimate, only to see cold ones staring back.
“We have alchemists on our team to keep you alive.” Richter said, yet Rune found little reassurance in those words.
It was naive to believe what Rune did would be dropped in a matter of weeks, but it stung that the more stoic of his friends showed strong emotions. Richter’s disappointment was like a sharp blade through his chest, feeling guilty if the celestial had nothing to say and mouthed an incohesive phrase in an unfamiliar tongue.
Uh oh… The priest must be furious if he was swearing in another language.
“What are you guys doing?” Anemos appeared between them. Pulling Rune away from Ultimate, who still had her weapons out, the elf groaned. “We’re about to depart and you three are fighting?”
Withdrawing her spears, Ultimate lowered her head. “I apologize. I won’t let this happen again.”
Rubbed his temples, Rune interjected. “It’s nothing. Tell Add we’ll be ready in a bit.”
Unconvinced, Anemos had her hands on her hips. “Just don’t lose your heads over petty fights.”
“I’ll make sure Elsword is safe,” Richter promised the elf.
What happened to the threats on keeping him alive, speared or not by Ultimate? Sparks emitted from Rune’s fingertips at the earliest signs of annoyance, a newfound emotion as of lately. He could take care of himself fine! It was clear that his friends were worried for his safety, but he didn’t need to be coddled like a child. Maybe it was a bit of pride on his part, but it served as an aching reminder to how far he had to grow if he wanted to be taken seriously.
Rune sighed. Nothing will be accomplished if he didn’t keep pushing forward like he always did. No use in dwelling over small things like pride. It wasn’t his style. Guilt surfaced once he recognized the sadness in Ultimate’s features.
“I don’t think you realize the effect you have on people,” she uttered. “That’s why I’m upset.”
That snapped Rune out of his trance and looked at Ultimate in distraught. He had known her for years since they have met in Altera, but this was the closest thing she had come to admitting her emotions out in the open. Confusion hazed his mind as he swallowed down the guilt.
“Now I do,” Rune admitted. “That’s why I’m trying to make up for everything.”
“You don’t need to change,” Richter said. “Stay the way you are.”
Looking at the two, Rune smiled. Their words held weight, but their expressions and body language told another story. Tense from his impulsive decisions, yet they stayed because they trusted him and fussed over him. He had underestimated how much his friends valued him. How he be blind?
A pair of purple cat ears poked from the side of a small bush. Rune blinked and turned his head again, but there was nothing. His paranoia told him it was another corrupted monster, but sneaking around was out of character. Rune sighed and rested his chest over the base of his sword.
“Thanks, guys.” Rune said with a smile, “Let’s get going before everyone wonders where we went.”
 Comet Crusader
Cannon laid down by his side, Crusader leaned over and wiped the edges clean with a cloth until it shone. Black soot and ashes smeared over his hands and some fell on his white armor. It was a routine for the guardian of Hamel, one that required diligence to make sure he reached all the corners and sides of the cannon. The destroyer was easily taller than him, but creating and testing new functions to stay up to date with their fighting situation kept Crusader on his toes.
“Chung?”
He looked up to see a man glancing over at him with concern. Wearing a collared shirt with long sleeves cuffed at the end, Cavalier’s hair was tied into a thin ponytail trailing behind the half-demon. Balancing on one hand was a blue tray with a tea kettle and pristine teacups in a neat stack of twos or threes. If Cavalier hasn’t spoken up, Crusader wouldn’t have heard the butler approach him.
“Did you get any sleep?” Cavalier frowned, “You look exhausted.”
Wiping his brow, Crusader laughed. “Hardly. Thanks for worrying about me.”
Setting the tea tray onto the grass, Cavalier offered him a cup. “Would you care to join me for tea then?”
Crusader nodded.
Using the tea tray for a flat surface, Cavalier held the tea kettle up and carefully poured a cup to offer to Crusader before pouring one for himself. The butler followed the younger male as he grabbed the sugar bowl to drop a couple of sugar cubes into his tea. White clouds turned into mist inside his cup as Crusader stirred the contents with a spoon. Its aromatic smell invited him to take a sip.
It wasn’t the first time he had Lanox tea. Apsara’s herbal teas had a sharp and bitter taste that reminded him of the earth on summer mornings, but Cavalier’s had a clean yet sweet taste at first sip. He let the light and spicy aftertaste linger on the tip of his tongue as the butler spoke.
“You’re committed,” Cavalier eyed the destroyer on the ground. “You should be resting.”
“Ain healed me,” Crusader grew defensive.
“Even magic can’t heal scars.”
Small tugs and stinging sensations strained his muscles at a moment’s movement with Crusader setting his teacup down on the tray to pause. With limited resources, potions and elixirs exclusive were weaker and took longer to heal injuries that once recovered within hours. Injuries weren’t new for him, especially with stronger enemies waiting for them at every turn, but it pained him in know he was dragging the team down for being hurt.
Burnt marks over his chest were from Nephilim Lord. They were clean cuts, making them easier to clean and bandage every few hours, but the pain inflicted held a constant icy burn over the days he spent healing. He knew the Lord of Spirit Asylum was influenced during the attack, but bitterness lingered as an afterthought. Once again, someone or something reached their goal before they did. How much longer could they do this until the gap between them and their enemies was too much?
“I’m not angry at you,” Cavalier said with kindness. “It was a tough battle against Nephilim Lord. You’re not the only one that got hurt.”
“I know,” Crusader stared at the crimson mist hovering over their campsite. “This really is the Demon Realm… Everything here is different than what we’ve encountered before.”
Demon Realm, or as the dark elves dubbed it as Varnimyr had contrasts. Red mist against blue trees and there were numerous moons instead of the suns Elrianode had. Eternal nights overtook the region with many of its inhabitants using their body or external means to brighten the dark forest with fluorescent light. They have found a way to flourish with limited resources.
Crusader had found his strength in recent battles against stronger enemies the longer he fought, but was it enough to withstand future enemies? Far from the El’s influence, his powers have weakened and to his astonishment, Cavalier and Ishtar were affected as well.
“I suppose it’s different than what we’re used to,” Cavalier agreed. “But that didn’t stop us in Elysion or Elrianode, did it? We sorted out the misunderstanding with Nephilim Lord and are closer to our goal than before.”
Crusader wasn’t one to ponder over his friends’ histories out of respect, but with Cavalier, it was hard not to be curious, if not wary. What was a human like Cavalier doing with a former demon queen and what could have happened to have them act as one unit? Their fighting style synchronized in a way that couldn’t have been achieved without magic involved, leaving much to Crusader’s imagination to why or how.
No, that was none of his business! The El Search Party were at their most vulnerable in a place outside their comfort. Those two have stayed long enough to have plenty of opportunities to backstab them if that was their intention. He needed to have faith in the Knight Emperor’s judgment in letting Cavalier and Ishtar be a part of their group. However, no amount of loyalty in his closest friend could undo the ongoing suspicion he had on a pair of demons, even if one of them was half demon.
“You’re right, it’s too late to have doubts after coming this far.” Crusader was apologetic. “I’m sorry for taking up your time to attend to my needs.”
Cavalier said, “I need to be here for my friends too. You don’t need to apologize.”
“I guess so,” Crusader broke into an awkward smile. “Where’s Lu?”
Taking his cup in one hand, he held it to his eye level. A unique design of intricate lines cut into the edges to form into flowers native to Lanox, it was a true work of art. He admired the effort his teammate had put into making tea in enemy territory when they should be rushing back to Elrianode to report their findings to the El Masters.
The butler sighed, “Still asleep. It’s been a long week for all of us. I won’t bother her.”
“There you are!”
Purple hair obscured his view with color matching eyes narrowed with displeasure. Cheeks puffed out and bright pink, a look of distraught as Aether Sage folded her arms inward to hug herself. The white jacket she wore slide over her shoulders and the bow on her collar was uncharacteristically uneven today. One might think the woman was hit by a hurricane by the two strands of hair standing over her roots with the rest of her hair in a mess of disarray.
“Have you seen Elsword?” Aether asked out of breath. “He’s gone!”
Rubbing his chin, Cavalier shook his head sullenly. “He offered to help me with the chores this morning, but I saw him just an hour ago. Have you checked his tent?”
She sighed. “I told him not to move around after that fight. Why doesn’t he ever listen?”
“Let me go look for him,” Cavalier said. “He might be training with Raven again. Why don’t you and Chung search the surrounding areas?”
Lowering his cup onto a tea plate, Cavalier set it down to grab a platter of pastries over to his left. Croissants, fruit tarts, and bread rolls stacked on top of one another with slices of preserved meat in between. Placing inside a small cloth bag for storage, it was enough food to last them for a few meals.
“You don’t think he’s going to be gone for that long, do you?” Alarm rose in Aether’s voice in response to seeing what was meant to be their rations. “He’s been fine before.”
“We are in Demon Realm,” Crusader placed his hand on his destroyer for support to stand up. Quiet grunts escaped from his lips as he struggled to find his footing, leaning against his weapon. “Even with the dark elves on our side, demons are waiting for us.”
“I know that,” Aether snapped. “That idiot better not do something stupid again.”
One moon hung over his shoulder with light soaking into their path as he and Aether walked past their campsite in search for their missing teammate. Radiant colors danced off the fungi and fauna lining up the dirt road, glowing faintly in time to the chilling breeze sending shivers down his skin. An eerie silence occupied alongside their heavy footsteps with quiet sighs and breathing from either of them. With better luck, maybe Cavalier could find Knight before they had to consider researching past familiar territory.
“Was there something you needed Elsword for?” Crusader asked.
“I was going to check his bandages,” she said. “Ain can’t always be there for him.”
Blinking a few times, he looked at her in confusion. “I suppose so. Did he say anything about where he went?”
“Elsword said he needed to talk to the dark elves again,” Aether groaned. “That was this morning. He should have been back by now, but his stuff is still gone. He needs to stop acting like he’s alone in this, we’re here too!”
“I don’t think that’s why he does things alone.”
“What do you know what about Elsword thinks?” She was hard-pressed to let Crusader back down, demanding answers and glaring at the guardian of Hamel.
Despite knowing her for years, it surprised Crusader to see the mage initiate interactions with Knight, who often buried her head into books with a sandwich in hand outside of battles. What brought on the sudden change in tune? After rescuing Knight from the El, something happened to make Aether stay close, her attention always drawn back to the redhead. Harsh words from before softened into mild comments on Knight needed to look after himself more. Her tough exterior always wavered to reveal a gentler side for her friends as evident when she approached Crusader to help. She was stubborn about showing her emotions, but she didn’t let her pride stop her from seeking help. It was something Crusader admired about the mage.
If Knight went back to talk to the dark elves, he couldn’t be far, but the village’s location remained unknown. Unless he had gone back to talk to Edith, the dark elf elder who granted them an ear to listen to their side of the story after the El Search party was caught by their sentry guardians. Were the dark elves still there? Crusader saw the tents waiting for them in a distance. What could be on Knight’s mind to seek the dark elves first instead of his friends?
“What am I doing losing my temper with you? You’re not Elsword.” Aether rubbed her temples, “I shouldn’t have said any of that. It’s just frustrating feeling like he left us again.”
“Well, he does what he thinks is right, even if it means going through demons.” Crusader chuckled, “We’ll catch up to him.”
“Then we better hurry,” she tugged on her white gloves to tighten them with her stuff between her arms. “I don’t want to look like a fool because he did all the fighting without us.”
Striking her staff overhead, water danced across her feet from the puddles and morning dew, lifting her feet to leap as the stream turned into solid ice. Awe and wonder stole Crusader’s concentration as Aether landed on her feet and slid over the frozen path with her hair flying from behind. Thin layers of frost brushed over the ice in powdered snow, water droplets surfacing before freezing again from the cold air. Flowered patterns overlapped as Aether slid forward to form a path with magic emitting from her staff.
Mud mixed with thin layers of ice made it difficult for Crusader to skate without losing his balance. Aether didn’t seem to notice his struggle and was already several meters ahead with her head held up high. Following after his teammate, all Crusader could do was to make sure he wouldn’t lose the mage in the fog.
  Flame Lord
“I’m back!”
Out of breath, Rune waved his arm over his head, red hair mopped over his head in disarray not unlike a bushfire. Walking from behind him were Richter and Ultimate, maintaining stoic expressions on smooth features as the first hint that they weren’t of human origin. Their walking movements had the same grace as angels. Anemos was the last to appear with her arms crossed with mild frustration from the way she bit into her inner cheek. Did something happen back there without her knowledge?
“Took you long enough,” Dominator scoffed. He tucked his bangs behind his left ear, only for it fall back and cover his eye again. “If you walk off again, we’re leaving you behind.”
“That won’t be necessary,” Ultimate gave the scientist a cold glare.
Attentive and precise in the smallest details, the care Dominator placed into a device that wasn’t of his creation impressed the Flame Lord. It reminded her of the kind of care she placed into cleaning her claymore in between battles. According to Dynamo, it has been over an hour since Dominator made adjustments to stabilize it. There was something mesmerizing in watching him work with something Flame had little understanding of.
Half of the El Search Party grew restless from the wait and drifted away in groups of twos and threes. Phantom sat on the floor to clean his phantom shooters. Blade and Abysser recounted their supplies in preparation for the upcoming journey, a quiet discussion among themselves with Timoria giving them tips on rationing food. Devi said little, but the Haan warrior held a steady gaze when their eyes met.
“Do we all have to hold it to activate it?” Flame asked. From what Blade had told her, an earlier invention held a similar function as to what Dominator was currently working on.
The scientist’s brows rose, “It should work as long as we’re all touching each other while one of us holds the device.”
“So we should hold hands,” Rune grabbed the scientist’s arm and cheered. “I’ll be your partner!”
“Don’t decide things for me without my permission!” Dominator protested.
Flame’s heart fluttered as Dynamo blinked pink (“It’s magenta!” Dominator huffed.), her skin patched with sweat not because of the sparks threatening to escape from her warm palms. They were doing it. Demon Realm was minutes away from their reach.
Entering the strange dimension demons considered to be home was something she had anticipated for years. It was a strategic decision to initiate their attack on the source of their troubles in Elrios. Yet her heart couldn’t stop racing on the idea of threading into enemy territory with limited resources. Timoria was a demon, but how useful could her knowledge be if they were going to be outnumbered? Learning the mechanics on how the place functioned, its origins, and going there was surreal for the fire knight.
“Add, the machine.” Flame breathed. Turning her head over to the rest of their party, she cried. “Grab someone’s hand and don’t let go!”
Quick to act, Phantom searched for Dominator’s hand with his silver shooters hanging off his belt and his arm extended. Ultimate followed suit and let Timoria and Abysser hold hands with the rest of the El Search Party. Blade was with Anemos and Richter, hands hooked together to form into a chain behind them. At the end of the long line was Oz, standing her ground as the gravel around them hovered from the earth shaking. Black gloved hands grabbed Flame’s with no hesitance, a familiar grip leaving little surprise in seeing Devi next to her.
Flashing light burned her retinas as Flame struggled to keep them open in search for red hair. Concern was as foreign of a concept as raisin cookies were to Timoria, but it was a strong emotion driving the ‘what ifs’ running through her head. Flame reached for Rune’s hand in the blind. Gravity pressed against them as static encaved the group and lifted them off their feet. Fear latched onto Flame’s subconscious with the knight struggling to not to fall over with nothing to grab onto. Her fingers slipped from Devi’s grasp and gasped.
Everything stopped. Her weight brought her back to earth with the Flame Lord crash landing with her face first. Bleh! Demon dirt!
Her sides hurt when Flame rolled over with her elbows on the floor. She dug her hands into dry crumbled soil, a dusty brown tinted with red. She took deep breaths. The rustic foreign landscape reminded her of Lanox, but the humidity was that of Feita. Mist hovered over the blue and purple-hued grass, or was it because it was nighttime with two (no, three!) moons overhead. Demon Realm looked different than what she imagined.
Strong and steady, claymore maintained its balance as Flame drew out her weapon, a black blade bearing markings in gold writing. Flame held her guard up with her legs spread apart with claymore in one hand and fire building up in her other. Gold sparks flared up and burst into flames from her blade at the feeling to someone tapping her on the shoulder.
They were faster and twirled to disarm her, pulling claymore away and grabbing her arms, pinning the fire user and bearing tiny fangs into a wide grin.
“Looks like Add’s plan worked.” Devi balanced claymore with her fingertips before tossing it back to its owner. “Did I surprise you?”
“I could have burned you!” Flame protested.
Devi giggled, “Hopefully that’ll be the last time we do that.”
It took Flame a moment to force her temperature down to stop the heat from traveling up to her face and leaving her tongue-tied on being snuck on by Devi. Black bangs obscured one side of Devi’s face with the back of her hair was tied into a tight bun by a multitude of hairpins. The longer ends of her dress fanned out to touch the ground.
“Where are you going?”
“Anywhere but here,” Flame tucked claymore back to its strap. She strained her eyes for Oz’s iconic pointed hat or Richter’s radiant aura shining like a lighthouse between the misty terrain. Timoria and Abysser could avoid arousing trouble because they were demons, but what about the others? She held faith in her friends to stay hidden until they were reunited, but where was Rune? He wasn’t one to keep a low profile for long.
“You’re eager to fight,” Devi said with glee. She took Flame’s hand, “Your hands are getting hot.”
“I’m not,” Flame felt sick. She needed to find Dominator and give the scientist a talk for alternative traveling methods that didn’t make her want to throw back whatever Furious Blade made for lunch. “Have you seen anyone else from our group?”
“No.” Concern graced her pale features, “What’s putting you on the edge?”
“Nothing,” Flame clenched her fists. “Let’s find everyone and go.”
“Do you really think this will be resolved that quickly?” Devi asked with no humor in a dark chuckle. “Our poor luck won’t let that happen.”
Blue light flashed across the sky like fireworks and rained overhead. Fire whistled and burst into violent flames for all to see, trees trembled and tectonic plates shifted to loosen the soil from beneath. She struggled to keep her footing as she charged to the chaos, covering her face and coughing. The smoke and fire made it hard to breathe. Each step grew heavy as she dragged her foot over to where she heard voices. Flame didn’t check to see if Devi was behind her.
Between a grove of trees were monsters with extra limbs and moved around mechanically, but they were too fluid and organic like to be a machine. Blue web-like veins etched through their bodies and illuminated the destruction they left behind. How did the Elrianode monsters follow them into Demon Realm?
Orange light blazed from behind, Devi throwing herself through the air and her spear pierced into a Skin Splitter. Blood blotted out from the monster through its armored skin with an inhuman screech. Mutated monsters crawled around them and hissed in response to the hot fumes created from Flame’s palms, all of them disintegrating into ashes from the contact of her fire. Runes showered over the monsters to set ablaze.
“Sis!”
Rune’s voice rang over the chaos. Scars decorated his exposed skin with the redhead beaming.
“Elsword!” Flame cried.
Behind him was a creature that towered over most humans and had a multitude of long appendages as limbs to support its weight. Glossed armor-plated around its “shoulders” if that was what one would call them and had half a dozen eyes moving and blinking all at once. Metallic appendages shot out and curled around Rune’s arms and legs, pinning him to the ground and limiting his movement. His pupils were dilated with the beast reflecting off the lights of his eyes.
Flame raced to find a way to climb onto the monster and pull her brother out, but someone else beat her to it.
A harsh breeze picked up, two shadows in the form of Timoria and Abysser appeared to slam their bodies against the Spatio Reaper and causing it to tumble, putting out the fire hazard created by the Sieghart siblings. Silver bullets hit the creature in the chest just below from where Rune was positioned. A young man in plated armor pursued after the creature with pistols at his arsenal. Anemos and Phantom Phantom!
“Ignis...” Fire enclaved around the red knight. “Crusher!”
Fireballs hit the Spatio Reaper’s exterior, melting away a thin layer of its armor and dripping out an unnatural blue liquid from its pores. Attacking it did little to slow down its sluggish but persistent movements that caused the ground to shudder while Rune squirmed in its grasp.
“No!” Flame choked on blood and saliva. Her legs were heavy lifting them and forcing herself to stay upright. Smoke and fire hindered her vision. Where was it taking Rune? “Must keep going…”
Her eyelids grew heavy and everything faded to black.

GENRE: DEMON!AU
Lost and found.
Kim Taehyung.
You nibble on your lower lip; eyes squeezed shut as you listen to the silent rustle of your room, fingers digging into the palm of your hands as you wait. You strain your ears, body immediately stiffing when you hear the sound of a breathless chuckle just a few feet away from you. The hair on the back of your neck stand as you open your eyes, finding a pair of leather shoes tapping lightly against the floor, waiting for you to finally acknowledge his presence. You gingerly lift your gaze up, regret washing over you when you’re met with the teasing eyes of Kim Taehyung himself, lips curled up in a devilish smirk that was enough to kill.
Adjusting the thin black tie wrapped around his neck, he arches an eyebrow at you, pleased to see the light blush that crosses your cheeks at the sight of him. You give yourself a few seconds to study him, taking in every curve of muscle against his black dress shirt, tucked into a black colored pants suit while a dark coat hung casually against his arms.
Why do the most dangerous things tend to be the ones that look the most appealing?
“Not too shabby, I assume?” Taehyung breaks your train of thought and you widen your eyes, mentally slapping yourself due to embarrassment of being caught gawking at him.
Taehyung gives you a bright smile, stepping forward before he’a glancing around your room with curiosity.
“You called right on time, sweetheart. I was about to come find you.”
“Find me?” You don’t hide your look of surprise. Surprise; not just from the fact that he had called you sweetheart, but also because he was actually looking for you. Why would he look for you when you were just a nuisance, constantly tearing him away from his everyday life?
“Yes. Now tell me that you at least have a dress in that closet of yours.” Taehyung starts stepping towards your dresser, causing you to immediately bolt from your seat, spreading your arms wide as you block your closet’s doors, remembering how thrashed it looked after you had ransacked it last night searching for your black sweater.
“Could you explain why you need one of my dresses?” You glare up at him and Taehyung looks down at you in amusement. How could you be so brave challenging him like this even when you already knew what he was and what he was capable of?
“I need a date.” He grins and your answering expression of shock does wonders to his ego as you blink up at him, cheeks turning that lovely shade of red he had come to absolutely adore.
“Date?” You swallow, heart hammering against your chest as you feel the palms of your hands starting to sweat.
“Yes. I’ve got a party I have to attend and sadly it turns out I need a date. You were the only one I could think of bringing.”
Holy shit.
Did he just say that? Did this gorgeous creature really just say that you were the only girl to cross his mind to take as a date?
“What makes you think I’d want to go?” You mutter, watching as he takes his lower lip between his teeth, causing you to curse the heavens at how gorgeous a demon like him had looked like.
“Didn’t you want answers? I feel pretty chatty tonight, but if you don’t want to come I can find someone el-”
“Give me a minute.”
You throw your dresser open, ignoring his chuckle of amusement as you reach for the black dress you had tucked into the back of your closet, staring at it with a sigh, already picturing how unsightly you were probably going to look like beside the demon boy.
-
Taehyung lets out a yawn, eyes casting down on his wrist, counting the number of minutes that had passed. It had been 30 minutes since you had stepped into your bathroom, taking your precious time as you tried to deem yourself presentable to be his date.  And the demon was just about to lose it. Just as Taehyung was about to rip the door open and drag you out of the confines of your bathroom, he hears the click of the door before your pulling it open, eyes cast down at your phone as you adjust the straps of your dress.
Taehyung’s eyes widen for a fraction of a second, pupils dilating when he sees you stepping out in a long black dress, the garment flowing down your curves perfectly. You had your hair bunched up to the sides, giving Taehyung a perfect view of your back, the cut of the backless dress stopping right above your hipbone, showing a great amount of skin but giving just enough for the imagination. You had colored your lips a deep shade of red today, stunning Taehyung as you swipe your tongue against your bottom lip before you’re lifting your gaze to look at him.
“Good enough?” You ask, suddenly shy to be standing in front of him being dressed the way you were.
“Perfect.” Taehyung breaths out thoughtlessly before he’s suddenly adjusting the cuffs of his coat, trying to hide his shock at the words he had just uttered.
“How are we getting there?” You ask as you reach for your purse, eyebrows furrowing when you see him stepping back with each step forward you take.
“I brought a car.” Taehyung mutters.
“What? Didn’t I summon you?” You widen your eyes, fingers pushing down your blinds as you peek out your window, finding a black sedan parked in front of your apartment.
“I have my ways.” Taehyung chuckles at your awestruck face as he pulls your door open. You watch him pad out the room, your eyes trained on the strain of his shoulders against the tight cut of his coat, leaving so much for your imagination to run.
“He’s sinful.” You whisper, completely unaware of the smile that graces Taehyung lips, the demon boy having heard you loud and clear.
-
“You live alone?” Taehyung breaks the 15 minute silence, making you jump against your seat as you rubbed your hands together.
“Um yeah, I do.” You nod and Taehyung spares you a quick glance, waiting for you to further expound. You nibble on your lower lip, watching as he changes gears, his hands so close to your legs that you lose focus.
“I dont really have a family. I mean, I had an adoptive mother but she died 2 years after adopting me when I was 8. Then I’ve been on my own pretty much ever since.” You mutter, head turning to look out the window as you watch the trees zoom by, not wanting to see the usual look of pity that crossed people’s faces when you talked about your family background.
“Okay.” Taehyung says casually, not asking any further questions. You turn to look at him, eyes wide with confusion. Normally people would have started asking you numerous amount of questions by now, but here was Taehyung, respecting your personal space and acting as normal as possible even though you were sure you had sound so depressing to listen to.
“You demons are weird.” You mumble and Taehyung lets out a bright laugh, lips curling upward.
“I think that’s just me.”
You can’t help but smile at him, back pressing against your seat as you finally feel yourself relaxing around him. You train your gaze forward, eyes landing on a large mansion situated at the end of the road.  A beam of different colored lights dance in the air, giving you the idea that this party wasn’t just any normal party, the loud music already drumming against your ears as you rub the back of your neck in discomfort.
“Are you sure I’m allowed to be here? This seems pretty grand.” You turn to Taehyung who simply shakes his head, gaze focused on the road as he follows after the number of cars entering the mansion gates.
“You’re with me, sweetheart.”
Once his car was parked, Taehyung opens your door for you, helping you step down before he’s leading you towards the main doors. You press your hand against your hip, the electricity from his touch still dancing against your palms as you follow after him. You watch the group of 4 entering the main doors, looking completely regal in their dresses and tuxedos as they’re let out bright laughs. You turn to look at Taehyung, suddenly feeling very out of place after seeing how gorgeous the guests were.
Taehyung simply greets the two men at the door and they nod at him, stepping aside to let you two enter before they’re blocking the doorway once more. You angle your head back, catching the dark marks etched onto the skin of their arms and neck. You furrow your eyebrows, sure that you had seen those marks somewhere before.
You let out a quick gasp when Taehyung grabs your wrists, stopping you from stepping any further down the hall as he adjusts his tie. A beautiful girl in white greets you by the large double set doors, lips curled up in a smile as she acknowledges you both before she’s pushing the doors open, finally giving you a glance of the grand celebration. Your eyes widen in their sockets as you step forward, the loud music pressing against your ears as a mass of regal bodies are packed together in the middle of the room, swaying provocatively to the beat of the song. You lift your head up, lips parting in awe when you see around 5 bodies suspended in the air, performing tricks with their limbs as they hang from a thick cloth attached to the ceiling.
Taehyung navigates you through the crowd, ignoring the number of gazes directed his way as he marches towards the bar. You waste your time basking in the beauty of the large room, eyes reflecting the shine of every sparkling decoration, awed to see something you saw in movies.
“This is incredible.” You breathe out, watching as a fire dancer passes by you; a large flame erupting around him as he sways to the beat of the song.
Taehyung shakes his head with a smile, finding your awe completely amusing. The demon taps his finger’s against the bar table as you take the seat beside him, bottom lip between your teeth while you try to calm your enthusiasm.
“Brandy for me and-” Taehyung turns to you, the smile on his face practically knocking the breath out of you as he rubs his thumb over his jaw, biting back a snicker at your dumbstruck expression.
“Y/n, gawk later, order your drink first.” He mutters darkly and you immediately sit up, cheeks flaming as you turn to look at the bartender who was gazing teasingly at you.
“Order, ma'am?”
“A shot of tequila then a martini please.” You quip, allowing yourself the shot of tequila to swab the number of times you’d embarrassed yourself in the last two hours.
“Martini? Didn’t take you for a frilly drink type of girl.” Taehyung asks when the bartender steps away to mix your drinks. You shrug, fingers tapping lightly against the table as you smile.
“I dont even know what a martini is, it just sounds fancy. I dont think asking for a beer in a place like fits the theme.”
“Beer does sound good right now.” Taehyung chuckles, taking a sip out of his drink. You glance down at your shot of tequila, nose crinkling in disgust as you recall the last time you had drank the horrible concoction. You shake the feeling away before your wrapping your fingers around the shot glass and tipping your head back, allowing the heat to burn your throat. You let out a visible shiver, hands shaking as you clear your throat and turn to look back at Taehyung. He had his eyes trained at the end of the room, watching as a girl in a long scarlet dress paired with a large white fur coat smiled and waved at the guests, casually making small talk with a few of them before she’s sauntering around again.
You arch an eyebrow at the boy next to you, watching as he rises from his seat before turning to you.
“Give me a minute; I just have to talk to someone.” He mutters, not sparing you another glance before he’s walking away, navigating gracefully through the mass of bodies as he makes his way towards her.
The gorgeous girl in red.
You crinkle your nose in distaste, turning to look back at your drink of martini, suddenly disgusted at the sight of it.
“Another tequila please.” You bark out, nails pressing tight against your palms.
Who was she?
“Make that two.” The voice beside you has you cutting your mental rant as you snap your head to the side, eyes locking with a gorgeous grey eyed boy. He gives you a wide grin, eyes practically hypnotizing you as he taps the seat beside you.
“Mind if I sit here? I’m kind off lonely.”
-
Taehyung adjusts the cuffs of his jacket one more time as he finally sees the back of her head, watching as she presses the rear of her hand against her mouth, hiding a laugh as she converses with one of the visitors. As if sensing Taehyung’s presence, she turns her head back, red eyes locking on him as her lips curl up in that usual sinister smirk of hers. She nods her head to the side, telling him to follow her as she bids her adieu. Taehyung ignores the curious glances of the group beside him, their whispers of his status dancing against their lips as they watch him follow after her.
She steps out of the loud room, heels clicking against the floor as she hugs the fur tighter around her body. Taehyung’s lips curl up into a large grin when he sees the two figures standing at the end of the hall, their glares directed at him as waves tauntingly at them.
“Damien, Drogon, play nice.” She warns them as they open the door for her. Taehyung immediately follows after her, eyes angled to look at one of the brutes.
“Damien. Drogon. You heard her.” Taehyung mutters, pleased to hear their growls of rage before the door closes behind him.
“You were always so childish.” She sighs, dropping down onto the dark leather couch in the middle of the room.
“It’s not childish especially after how you sent those two after me for over 10 times now, Rose. They don’t let me catch a break.” Taehyung barks back.
Rose presses her tongue between her teeth, lips curling up in a smile as she leans back against the couch, dropping her coat and exposing her pale white skin to him.
“You weren’t picking up my calls.”
“Well, I’m here now.” Taehyung scoffs as he takes the seat across from her “What do you want?”
Her lips press against each other, red eyes flashing darker as she leans forward, all signs of teasing gone from her system.
“To warn you.”
Taehyung blood chills but he pushes the feeling back, knowing damn well what she was going to tell him.
“What have you heard?”
“He’s coming, Tae. Your brother is ready for the blood moon and he’s going to be looking for you.” She mutters and Taehyung simply nods, already assuming that this is what she had wanted to warn him about.
“And he’s taking her with him.” Taehyung’s blood runs cold, eyes snapping wide as he meets her gaze.
“What?”
“She’s coming with him and she’s furious.” Rose sighs as she pushes herself off of her seat and makes her way towards him.
“I just wanted to warn you to keep safe.”
Taehyung watches in close precession as she drops onto his lap, arms circling around his neck as she stares down fondly at him.
“She wants vengeance, Tae.”
Taehyung lets out a scoff, head shaking as he starts strategizing game plans in his mind. Rose tips his head up, eyes twinkling as she leans forward, pressing a soft kiss against his cheek before she’s smiling and standing up.
“You be safe, your highness.” She mutters with a smile, pushing herself off of him before she’s grabbing her coat.
“That’s all I really wanted to tell you, Tae. I needed to tell you in person since you and I know how nosy downworlders are. The boy’s will stop chasing after you now, so don’t worry.” She smiles as the doors open
“You should stay though, unwind a bit before you let your worries consume you.”
Taehyung stands up, watching as she waves at him before she’s padding down the hall again, excited to entertain more of her guests. The demon boy lets out a sigh, stepping out the doors of her library before he’s returning back into the main room, eyes searching around to find you. He pushes pass people, frowning when he no longer sees you at the bar where he had left you. He strains his ears, hissing in irritation as the loud thrum of the speakers slams against him while he’s trying to pick up your voice.
“Ahh~” Taehyung snaps his head back, eyes surveying the dance floor when he suddenly sees you. You had your neck thrown to the side, eyes squeezed shut as you swayed blindly to the music, your back pressed against the tall figure behind you. His arms are wrapped around your waist; head dipped into the crook of your neck as he swipes his tongue against your skin. Taehyung lets out a frown before the tall boy’s scent washes over him, causing the demon to immediately lunge forward.
He hears the sizzle against your skin and before the stranger could press another kiss against your neck, Taehyung grabs him by the collar of his coat, pulling him off of you as his red eyes glare into empty grey orbs.
“What do you think you’re doing nymph?!” Taehyung growls and the nymph’s eyes immediately widen when he realized just who he was faced with.
Taehyung turns to look at you, his eyes widening in horror when he sees the dark green mark blossoming against your neck as you did your best to hold yourself up, legs trembling as your eyes glazed, wanting nothing more than to have the grey boys lips on your skin once more.
The demon tightens his choke around the nymph’s neck, lips curling up into a growl as Taehyung digs his nails into his skin, wanting nothing more than to snap the grey eyed boy’s neck. You let out another whimper as you sway backwards, causing Taehyung let out a hiss as he slams the nymph’s body against the ground, the floor below him cracking.
“I’m coming for your head in case anything happens to her.” Taehyung seethes before he’s wrapping his arms around you, letting you fall against him as you sigh into his warmth. He leads you pass the mass of bodies, kicking doors open until you’re out in the garden and far from the curious eyes of the guests. He spares a glance at the green mark on your neck, teeth gritting when he sees how far the poison had already spread.
“Fuck. Y/n, stay still, I need to get the poison out.”
-
You were in the clouds, head floating as you feel the heat of his body surrounding you. Your vision remains a blur, a bright light fading in and out as he moves both your bodies pass the number of onlookers around you. Their faces morphing with different colors, making you giggle, only to whimper once more when you feel the sting against your neck. You wanted his lips back on you; you wanted to feel the pleasure of his tongue tracing a quick line against your skin, sending an immense amount of satisfaction running through your nerves.
A cool breeze whips pass you and you feel yourself frown as fingers press tight against your shoulders.
“Fuck.” You hear a voice from a distant, the beauty of the sound causing you to giggle as you lift your head up, eyes locking with red ones that stared down at you in all their stunning glory.
Who was he again? You were sure you’ve seen him somewhere before.
“Y/n, stay still, I need to get the poison out.”
You’re eyes flutter shut at the feeling of cool lips against your neck; your hands flying up to grab the lapel of his collar as you angle your head to the side to provide him with more access. You feel the pressure of his lips on you, sending your mind into a whirlwind of pleasure as electricity runs down your spine. Taehyung swipes his tongue against the vein on your neck and you can’t help the moan that escapes your lips as you thread your fingers into his hair, all but begging him to come closer as you press your body against his chest. Taehyung places his hands on your hips, gripping with the intent to bruise as he sucks on your skin, sucking all of the poison etched onto your skin.
It isn’t enough, it still isn’t enough.
You needed more.
You run your nails against his neck, pleased to hear his answering growl as he bites down onto your skin, causing a shrill cry to escape your lips. Taehyung pulls your body closer to his, the strain in his pants brushing against your hip bone that has a wave of heat immediately pooling between your legs as you try reaching for his belt buckle. Before your nimble fingers could wrap around the cool metal, Taehyung’s eyes fly open as he pulls away from you, hands on your shoulders as he makes you take a few steps back. You whimper at the loss of contact, eyes blown wide as you nibble on your swollen lower lip. The red in Taehyung’s eyes turn a darker shade the more he stares at you, his hair a sexy mess on his head after having your hands running through them earlier. He glances at the mark on your neck, relieved to see the green poison no longer there, only to hiss when he sees the purple mark of his ministrations beginning to bloom. He does his best to ignore the look of lust that flashes against your expression, knowing damn well that you weren’t in the sanest of minds after having nymph poison running through your veins.
“Let’s go home.” Taehyung mutters darkly, pushing down the groan that wished to escape his lips when he sees you placing your palm over the mark he had left on your neck, lips parting in pleasure when you still feel the heat of his lips against you.
“Home sounds nice.” The breathlessness of your voice dances against Taehyung’s ears, causing him to shut his eyes, taking a mental note of slamming that nymph’s head against the wall the next time he sees him.
-
Taehyung pulls up against your drive way, grip tight against his steering wheel as he shuts off the car’s engine. He angles his head to the side, finding you fast asleep with your head pressed against the car window. He lets out a sigh, gently unbuckling your seatbelt, eyes trained on your face, shocked to find you sleeping so serene after the events of the night.
“She’s the strangest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.” Taehyung mumbles before he’s jumping out of the car, gently opening your car door before wrapping his arms around you. He lifts you from your seat, carrying you bridal style as he kicks the car door shut, doing his best to control his movements so that he wouldn’t wake you. You mumble a chorus of incoherent words, shuffling against his arms before you’re burying your face at the crook of his neck. Taehyung stills in place, eyes widening when he feels your hot breath against his skin, lips ghosting over his Adams apple. He swallows the lump stuck in his throat, doing his best to ignore the sudden vibrations shaking through his body as he steps forward.
Then he stops.
Taehyung’s eyes shift back to red as he strains his ears, hearing the rustle of movements loud and clear. He tightens his hold on you, feet digging against the ground as he awaits whatever creature it was that was giving off the scent of so much hostility.
The doors of your apartment open, and if Taehyung wasn’t a demon, he would have missed the speed of movement until he finds Yoongi standing just 3 feet away from him, teeth bared as his hands clench and unclench, ready to attack Taehyung if he found necessary.
“What the fuck did you do to her?!” Yoongi hisses and Taehyung immediately clicks his tongue at him, annoyed that he had spoken so loud when you were fast asleep in his arms.
“Quiet down guardian.” Taehyung commands and Yoongi immediately hisses, the feeling of respect towards Taehyung’s command clawing at his chest. Taehyung watches with dry humor, lips curled up in a smirk as he tips his head to the side.
“Still bound to respect royal bloods huh? Even if you abandoned your duty.”
“Shut up.” Yoongi seethes, eyes casting down at you as you frown, adjusting yourself once more in Taehyung’s arms, showing the guardian that you were simply asleep and that no harm had come to you.
“How about you get out of my way first? We can talk after I set her down.” Taehyung quips and Yoongi just lets out a dry scoff, gaze lifting up to look at the young demon.
“What makes you think I have anything to say to you?” Yoongi mutters as he reaches for you, intent of taking you out of Taehyung’s arms. Taehyung pushes down his growl of protest, watching as you snuggle up into Yoongi’s arms, a sigh of relief leaving your lips as you continued to doze off.
“Oh you have a lot to say to us.” The voice behind Taehyung causes the demon to snap his head back, eyebrows arching when he sees Jimin pressed against the black car with a smile on his face.
“General Min.” Jimin nods, pressing to fingers against his forehead in an attempt of salute. Taehyung’s eyebrows meet in a frown as he turns back to look at Yoongi, watching the sudden shift of expression from the guardian as he races his head.
“Show your respect, guardian.” Yoongi seethes, his face shifting to show his maturity and status “Remember who you’re talking to.”
Jimin immediately frowns, pushing himself off of the car before he’s pressing his hands behind his back, his body immediately responding on its own accord towards his elder.
“Can someone help me understand what’s going on?” Taehyung sighs, looking back and forth between the two guardians. Jimin turns away from Yoongi, glancing at his duty with a sigh, not sure who he should obey first.
“This is General Min Yoongi, former guardian of the North’s princess.”
Air leaves Taehyung’s lungs almost immediately as his eyes widen, head snapping back to look at Yoongi, his black hair fading to white as he his gaze changes, body looking much more taller and leaner than it was before.
“Your majesty.” Yoongi nods at Taehyung, pleased to see the young demon finally at a loss for words as an image of the young princess flashes before his eyes, her bright smile gracing his mind, reminding him of the moments he had spent playing with her when they were young.
“Where is she?” Taehyung asks, heart hammering against his chest even if he already knew the answer, the need to hear the words loud and clear clawing at him as he watches Yoongi grit his teeth.
“Dead.” Yoongi simply answers, turning away from the young prince before he’s taking you back up into the safety of your apartment, eyes casting down to look at you with a sigh.
