'The Sandman: Act III' Gets A Surprise Release On Audible #TheSandman #AudibleOriginal #TheSandmanAct3
Audible has recently given fans a wonderful surprise as they’ve released the next installment of their hit audio drama based on Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman series, with all 19 episodes of The Sandman: Act III available right now.
It’s been just over a year since Act II released, which adapts collected volumes four (Season of Mists) and five (A Game of You) of the comics in their entirety, and most…
Hey Wil! I just finished Vol. III of the Sandman audiobook and I just wanted to say I loved your performance! I know you've done audiobook narration before, was this any different given that it's a dramatization of a comic?
Oh thank you! I just loved working on it. Neil asked me if I would play Brant, which I still can't believe actually happened, and it somehow got even more amazing from there.
I wrote about it on my blog, where I think I answer your question.
I finished Act III of Audible's The Sandman. Word of advice if you're planning on listening, unless you've never cried for any character in any media or literature, I wouldn't risk listening to it in public. I was fighting tears at work by the end of Brief Lives, the first half of act 3. The only reason I didn't stop for a breather was because there was a Hob short story I was looking forward to which gave me life after James McAvoy's performance as Morpheous stabbed me in the heart.
So i loved Kat Dennings before i knew her from the show. I am slow at finding out stuff and while listening to The Sandman act III, i realised she is the voice for Death.

In Act III, we follow Morpheus on a grand journey to take care of family business. He visits with his son Orpheus (Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page), an act that brings with it profound consequences. Accompanied by Delirium (Kristen Schaal, Bob’s Burgers), he tracks down their estranged brother, Destruction (David Harewood, Supergirl), the only member of the Endless ever to abandon their post. And at an inn at the intersection of all worlds, a group of travelers are forced together by a storm that threatens to destroy reality itself, with grave repercussions for Morpheus and the rest of the Endless.
All the original cast returns, including Kat Dennings as Death, Aidan Turner as Cluracan, and Neil Gaiman himself as The Narrator, joined by Harewood and other new cast members Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), KJ Apa (Riverdale), Shruti Hasaan (Race Gurram), and more.
For those of you that have read up to Brief Lives in the comics or have listened to Act 3 of The Sandman on audible, we have been given an opportunity, an opportunity named Johanna Constantine.
