Feral Opress twirling his drumsticks between fast fingers. High hat rattling. Knee jiggling. Full of pent up, nervous energy. Expression impassive but wide open. Looking for something in a crowded room, though he's not sure what exactly.
You're sipping from a red solo cup near the kitchen when the crowd parts and he gets a look at you.
Doesn't miss a beat, this kid: not shy either but he ducks his head to hide his smirk.
Kick and snare: it's not a quiet invitation, but when he starts playing --- heartbeat of the band -- there's no way you can ignore him. Can't ignore the way he stares either; how he leaves you heated, bones thrumming with his rhythm. He sets the pace. He'll bring you with him.
Feral juts his chin, eyes glinting. Your palms are sweating.
Make some mayhem. He gestures with a drumstick, tattooed fingers -- that way; five minutes. Heart tripping. Someplace quieter. Less crowded.
You're nodding, but he cuts loose on the drum kit. That's how you know he'll follow you -- eventually there's silence. Party chatter.
How close is the bathroom?
Too many people.
Kriff and kark it.
A warm rasp, silk and gravel: "This way."
Calloused fingers. Strong but tender. Quiet hallways. Darkened bedrooms. Forget the party, now -- just you and the drummer, solo cup forgotten.
