I think the thing about s2 of doctor who is that the magic between the doctor and rose is gone. He keeps on saying he'll always be there for her, but we get episodes like the girl in the fireplace. In so many occasions he runs off by himself, leaving rose alone to 'get into trouble' without his 'supervision'. All of the crises are solved by the doctor himself while rose is off somewhere being captive or stuck. We get so many soliloquies from the doctor - which, great. He's a Shakespearean actor and he does it great. He's a tortured lonely soul tumblr sexyman. But I think the male writers self-inserted their fantasy a bit too much into tendoc and while he has the appeal..... he's not the same guy who said he'll always be there to protect rose and the guy that roses mom trusted with her safety.

And another Draw The Squad fill, for this thing here. I had no idea it was a bunch of YouTube videogame vloggers or something, and I was halfway into the doodle before I even realised they were (apparently?) cosplaying as BBC characters. Mostly because they didn’t look at all like the actors--I honestly thought it was just a bad stock photo about office dynamics and/or office people dressed in fancy costumes or something. I still have no idea who the two people on the left are supposed to be, the facepalming guy and the goth girl with the flower crown. But I noticed the guy who looked like Martin Freeman was dressed as TenDoc and pointing a Sonic Screwdriver at the guy who was presumably Arthur off BBC Merlin (?) and then I wondered what the guy in the purple shirt was all about, so I figured the purple shirt meant Sherlock?!? IDK. Unless the two people on the left were meant to be Simm!Master and Rose or something, I have no idea what it was supposed to be all about. (If anyone knows, do tell. I’m not a gamer type of person at all, so IDKWTF about these things.)

But in this version, of course, Fadl has declared himself a prince or a king or something and the rest of the squad is not so sure about his competence in the matter. Zainab dresses the tartiest and always has that sapphire band around her forehead, so she got to be the goth chick in lace with a crown of another kind on her head. Sonbol The Long-Suffering Butler does a *lot* of facepalming from day to day, so he got to be Mr. Facepalm. Whereas Jaffar deduces bullshit (honestly, had I figured this guy was supposed to be Sherlock earlier, I would’ve just made *him* into the Rathbone) and Yassamin senses a disturbance in the web of time, and Fadl is Fadl. Cameo from a very confused Ishtiaq as the lion.
