Canceled Dreamworks movies

Truckers: DreamWorks was supposed to do an adaptation of Terry Pratchett's book With Simon Beaufoy writing the script and a set release date of 2012. The talks of making the film seemed to die down once the script was completed and everyone has since moved on.

It looks to me like some of the designs inspired the Trolls.

Pearls Before Swine: Dreamworks purchased the rights to make a film adaptation of the comic strip Pearls Before Swine in 2006, shortly before they released their adaption of fellow comic strip Over the Hedge. Since then nothing has come of it.

The Tortoise and the Hare: An Aardman/Dreamworks project retelling "The Tortoise and the Hare" that might have featured Michael Caine as one of the voiceover performers withered on the vine.

Tales From The Aniverse: Dreamworks also planned to adapt a character from the extremely obscure 1980s black-and-white furry comic Tales From The Aniverse in the early 2000s, but reps had a hard time comprehending the treatment that the comics' creator gave them.

Me and My Shadow: A film about a man's friendship with his Living Shadow that would have featured a unique blend of 3D and traditional animation, was scheduled to be released in early 2014 but seems to have fallen through the cracks after Dreamworks's split with Paramount.

B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations: A film centering on an agency of ghosts, was set to be released in the summer of 2015. It has now been put on the back burner due to DreamWorks' restructuring plans.

What do you think? Is there hope these movies might be seen on the big screen?

With 2D and 3D being mixed together more and more ''Me and My Shadow'' has the biggest chance of returning.

Also, ''Tales From The Aniverse'' sound and look interesting. An animated sci-fi franchise of movies and maybe series?

are there any roleplay ideas you'd like to see hit the tag?

To build off of @riconsty‘s list from not too long ago, cause all those ideas were fantastic and if one of y’all do that hbcu reality tv one she talked about.. Hit my line lol.

But a few ideas I’d love to see would include

A supernatural rp. Particularly inspired by the originals.

A roleplay inspired by the Black Mirror series. One that specifies around cooler episodes like NoseDive, Hang The DJ, and The Entire History of you. - More specifically, a city that is introducing these many technological advances into their society and the subplots could be people partaking in different experiences while they all coexist under one bubble. Sigh, RIP Database.. Lol

Speaking of subplot roleplays, give me an apartment complex or city as the main setting, but make all the subplots inspired by different shows or friend group ideas.

still a sucker for college plots.

second generation plots, whether it be of our old charactesr or children from old tv ships. slap them in a place together and LET’S GO.

multiverse rp pls! what i should’ve done with my rp gyre like i originally wanted to was make the other universes based off the televerse or the aniverse. not all just earts, but yeah. run that shit up.

ROYALS RP. give me royals in training locked away on an island as they learn everything they need to know before taking over.

or, give me a royal kingdom ran by a council instead of just one pair and all the connections. give me forbidden love stories between those with and without status, the rebels who act out because thy hate the council, you know all the fairy tale-y things.

personally, i’d like to see another cartoon rp pop out.

Hell, *checks the climate* even a record label/industry rp right now would fucking flourish.
