thinking about the evolution of gloria and maria's relationship from gloria being there for maria during and after her pregnancy to maria being the first person gloria trusts to take over in the kitchen while she isnt there to maria turning to selling drugs which gloria disapproved of which began the rift in their relationship because she wanted maria to stay safe and think of her daughter to maria taunting daya to pull the trigger when gloria had been trying her fucking hardest to make sure daya didnt land herself in worse shit as a promise to aleida to maria's betrayal because she wanted to see pepa but at the cost of gloria's trust which leads to their tense rivalry which pains maria bc they used to be so close and maria spending her time trying to fix her mistakes and gloria being like fuck you (rightfully so) and maria not giving up till she gets a chance to truly apologize to pleading that gloria doesnt throw her under the bus to gloria owning up for the phone saving maria from even more time and in the end gloria sending maria the burro book signaling that theres hope for them after all
